Episode 1

The morning was quiet, only the soft hum of leaves could be heard behind the open window.

It was a cloudy and windy autumn day, no different from others, but this time, there was something slightly different.

"Bleargh..." Lysander, a 21 year old drop out college student, was sitting on the cold linoleum floor, his hands touching his stomach, his neck with his head bent over the toilet.

He was feeling nauseous since he woke up. The urge to let it all out was unstoppable. Lysander had to vomit everything.

He guessed he ate something bad the day before, but that was not the truth. He didn't know it yet, but soon, a baby would be accompanying him everywhere.

"Ah, shit..." Lysander wipes off his mouth and saliva and looked at the clock. It was late, he was late.

"I'll be late to work." he scrambled on his feet and made his way to his bedroom, he packed a small backpack with him, there he out bottle of water and a soft sandwich. It was stale bread with old ham.

He locked the doors to his old and dusty apartment, which he barely could keep. The rent was high, even though this neighbourhood was a shit town.

Lysander could only manage that much to keep living. His father was in the hospital, suffering from a pheromones disease, so Lysander had to pay medical bills. On top of that, he had to pay for his own food and the rent of this ugly apartment.

For him, it was enough, but he couldn't keep living like this, because the moment wasn't enough anymore. The rent went up with the latest raises.

"I need to work more now..." Lysander hurried through the streets, no one lived in this neighbourhood much, so he rarely met anyone else than the old grandma living next door.

"I should've taken a warmer hoodie." he pulled his thin sweater tighter to his body and trembled under the cold wind pour.

It was late in autumn, winter knocking on the doors. Lysander hated winter, that meant more bills to pay for heaters, he would be freezing to death and he'd have harder time to get to work as well.

"I need to make most money now, till I have time." in winter, it'll be late.

Lysander looked at the gray sky, clouds lingered for the whole time.

Lysander slowly opened the doors to the small and rundown restaurant, well, if you could call it a restaurant.

Neighbours came to eat here, it was a small place, where they sold sandwiches, small pizza and other similar things.

Lysander worked here for almost a year now, he had to stand on his own since a young age.

"Sorry for coming late." he excused himself as he stepped inside the warm place. The heat surged towards him, touching his cheeks and cold and freezing hands.

"It's so warm here, as always." he looked around, his boss was behind the counter, he didn't look mad, just tired.
