The boy's lower lip began to tremble, his big eyes filling up with heavy tears, and he was just about to cry out loud in pain.Tae immediately rushed to the child, carefully lifted him up in his arms, and asked with extreme concern, "How did you fall down? Are you okay?"The child sniffled, pointing a trembling finger at Kookie, and whined, "He pushed me down!"Hearing this, Tae’s expression grew serious. He looked towards Kookie with a firm yet questioning gaze and asked, "Why did you do that?" Before waiting for an answer, Tae gently checked the child’s knees and elbows to see if he was hurt anywhere.Seeing Tae’s attention completely shift away, Kookie’s heart sank. Overwhelmed by a sudden wave of guilt, fear, and sadness, tears welled up in his big eyes and began to stream down his cheeks. Suddenly, Kookie broke into loud, heartbroken sobs.Shocked by the sudden burst of emotion, Tae instantly left everything else, rushed close to Kookie, and pulled him into a tight, warm hug. He rubbed Kookie’s back, whispering soothingly, keeping his voice soft as he asked him over and over why he was crying so much.Gradually, Kookie’s loud cries turned into quiet whimpers. He stopped crying, but he refused to let go. He kept holding Tae tightly by the neck, burying his face into Tae’s shoulder, his small shoulders still shaking with upset emotions.Tae stroked his hair gently, whispering, "Koko baby, go to sleep now. You are tired."Kookie tightened his grip, his eyelids heavy. "No," he replied in a small, sleepy voice, thick with raw emotion. He added, "If I fall asleep, someone else will come and take Tae Tae away from me. I won't let that happen."With that, he pouted deeply, resting his chin on Tae's shoulder, holding onto his safe haven as if his entire world depended on it.
