Balram Ha Balwan Chapter 4: The Iron Grip of the Elder

Prologue

The story of the mysterious shadow in the Forbidden Grove spread throughout Vraja.

The elders warned everyone to stay close to the village.

But life in Vraja could not stop. Every morning, the cowherd boys and girls took their cattle to the green meadows along the Yamuna.

Balram walked at the front of the group.

Krishna smiled as always.

Radha carried flower garlands.

Ayan held a wooden staff, determined to protect his friends if danger came.

A Peaceful Morning

The cool breeze carried the fragrance of blooming flowers.

Children laughed while calves ran through the fields.

Radha placed a garland around Krishna's neck.

Radha:

"You always find a way to make everyone smile."

Krishna laughed.

Krishna:

"Then today, let's make Brother smile too."

Balram smiled faintly.

Balram:

"I smile when everyone returns home safely."

Ayan nodded with respect.

Ayan:

"That's why everyone trusts you, Balram."

The Missing Calf

Suddenly, one of the calves wandered toward a dense patch of trees.

A frightened cry echoed from inside the forest.

Sridama:

"Our calf!"

Without hesitation, Balram ran toward the sound.

Krishna, Radha, Ayan, and the others followed.

The Wild Beast

Inside the forest stood a massive wild boar with long tusks.

It had cornered the frightened calf.

The beast roared and charged.

The younger children screamed.

Radha quickly pulled the smaller children behind a tree.

Ayan stepped forward with his wooden staff.

Ayan:

"I'll distract it!"

The boar struck the ground with its tusks, knocking Ayan backward.

His staff broke in two.

The Elder Brother

Balram stepped between the beast and his friends.

His expression became calm and fearless.

Balram:

"No one will be harmed."

The boar charged with terrifying speed.

At the last moment, Balram reached out.

With one hand...

He caught the beast by its tusk.

The force of the impact shook the earth.

Dust rose around them.

The animal struggled with all its strength.

Balram's grip never loosened.

The Iron Grip

The boar roared again.

Balram grabbed both tusks.

His muscles tightened.

With incredible strength, he pushed the beast away and gently threw it toward an open field instead of harming it.

The boar looked at Balram for a moment.

Then it lowered its head and ran back into the forest.

Silence filled the meadow.

Even the birds had stopped singing.

A Hero's Respect

The rescued calf ran back to its mother.

The children surrounded Balram.

Sridama:

"You stopped it with your bare hands!"

Ayan:

"I've never seen anyone so strong."

Radha smiled warmly.

Radha:

"Your strength protects everyone."

Krishna looked proudly at his elder brother.

Krishna:

"That is why he is our Balram."

The Elder's Promise

As the sun began to set, Balram looked toward the distant forest.

He remembered the glowing eyes from the Forbidden Grove.

Somewhere beyond those trees, greater dangers waited.

Balram quietly made a promise.

Balram:

"As long as I stand... no harm will come to Vraja."

Krishna smiled, knowing destiny had already begun to unfold.

Ending

That night, an unseen figure watched the village from the shadows.

Its eyes glowed with evil intent.

It had witnessed Balram's strength.

And it knew that defeating the elder brother would not be easy.

The first great demon had begun to make its move.
