Finally, I finished with the laundry. Was it always this much? I really can't remember. Anyway next is the kitchen. Its critical that I snack as much food as I can. I need bread mostly because it can be carried easily, and it won't rot too quickly.

'Miss Ann sent me to help. What can I do?'

'Come here and clean all of this potatoes. Then grab the plates and put them on the table. After you are done you can take the trash out.'

'Yes madam right away.'

I know that this is nothing compared to what I have done before but my body is now too frail for all that work. It's a pity I can't use magic. If I could, I would use healing magic to make me better and I would finish all the chores faster.

A pity really.

Since I have to clean after the meal that means I can grab the leftovers from their table. We don't ever get enough food to leave leftovers but miss Ann and her subordinates always have more than they can possibly eat. They also have food we never get to eat. If I can have some of that it will make the second part of my plan much easier.

'I am done with what you assigned me.'

' Since you finished already you can serve the food. And don't forget after you eat to clean everything up. After all with your behavior even a tiny bit mistake can get you grounded. And you know what that means don't you Luna?'

'Yes madam I know.I will do as you say.'

I can't afford to annoy them right now. If they lock me up I will lose my chance. And I will end up in the same position. I can't.

'So miss Ann was right. You are behaving abnormally well today I wonder why? Maybe you are up to something. Maybe a punishment is out of the question after all.'

No, this cant be happening. I knew they hated me specifically and always targeted me but I can't let it happen again. Not now.

'Madam please I am really not up to anything I just… I ..

'Maybe you finally learned your place after all. That would be good you know. You have to remember you are here because nobody wanted you. So you are a nothing. Don't expect to be treated differently. Understood?'

'That's good. Go back to what you have to do. Don't waste time.'

That was really close. I need to do my job and disappear. I can't risk it.

Finally, I am done with everything. Thankfully I managed to get two pieces of bread and a small piece of cheese. That will do. I know I need to sleep now but that paper is still in my mind. I need to take a closer look.

There is nothing much. Just my personal information and theirs. It doesn't say why they chose me. But that doesn't change the fact that they did. I wonder at of all the kids why me. I have the most frail body and the least potential to live. So why me?

I need to read my file. I didn't want to open it but I have to now. Personal information, age, medical information. All of this is something i know. Where is it? Oh, here it is. Reason I was left here. And what they found me with. So here comes...

So this pendant is protected by magic? How is this possible. I can take it of as i please. But that is not the most important part. There was a letter. Whoever left me left a letter too.

I need to read this letter.
