Chapter 4 - "Nervous"

The dugout behind the stadium, June walks there and is stopped by staff, but she tries to explain that she is Joshua's friend and wants to congratulate him.

"Sure, just go straight to the left, and you'll meet him." the staff did not stop her this time, and immediately allowed her to enter the back.

June walked straight to the left as her staff said and met Joshua who was sitting drinking his bottle of water looking tired, with his body covered in sweat.

"Hey, congratulations, you really have skills, and thanks for inviting me here, it was a wonderful experience." said June knocking on the door staring at Joshua

"Thanks, I didn't expect you to really come, thank you for your support, have a seat" said Joshua pointing at the couch in front of him to June

June then sat in there, the room was cold, because there was air conditioning, and the sound of several staff footsteps passing by.

"I didn't know you're going to play with Ken" said June to him suddenly

"You know him, Kenneth Liston?" ask Joshua to her confused

"Yeah, we just met last night, he bought me lunch, in some fancy restaurant, I didn't know that he's a tennis athlete too" reply June to Joshua smiled

"What a coincidence..., so how was today?" ask Joshua to June curious

"It was a very original experience of mine" replied June to him smiled

"Mr. Marshall get ready please, a lot of media wants to interview you about today games" said a staff knocking on the door

"Alright I'll be there in a minute" said Joshua getting up from his seat

"Miss Sawyer, I'm sorry but I got to go, we'll talk later, I'll be back soon" said Joshua to June, "Yeah, sure, take your time, I'll wait" reply June to Joshua gave him a smile, and Joshua leaving the room

June sat inside looking around and felt bored, so she went out to look around for a bit, and walk through the courtyard, and she saw Kenneth there, holding his racket doing some service with the ball in the courtyard alone.

June stood there staring at Kenneth who seemed disappointed with himself there hitting the ball with the automatic machine. Feeling that someone was staring at him, Kenneth looked to the side and yes, June was staring at him.

"You're here, I didn't know you're interested in tennis" muttered Kenneth while hit the ball with his racket

"I'm not, actually I was invited, you did great today" said June trying to comfort him

"Really was I, I'm a total loser right now" muttered Kenneth put down his racket and walked towards June

"You're not actually, you did really great, I watched you from up there it was amazing" said June to him

"Thanks for the cheer up, I'm fine" said Kenneth walking past her annoyed

June felt she had said something wrong to Kenneth, and now she felt guilty towards him, June returned to Joshua's place and saw a woman standing there arranging something.

"Oh, you're a staff member, can you help me get the things on the floor?" ask the woman to June for a help

"Sure" June replied and help her pick it up, "Thanks" said the woman and getting back to arrange a lot of congratulations and flowers on the room

June left the place because she finally realized she never belongs to here from the start, she's trying to fit in to a new different social class. June carried her shoulder bag and walked out to wait for the bus at the bus station alone, she's starting to missing her home, but she was too ego to go home.

"Surprise congratulations, brother" said the woman in the room waiting for Joshua to comeback

"Jenna, what are you doing this, this's so old" said Joshua stunned by his older sister behavior, Jenna Marshall

"Whatever, I'm proud of you" said Jenna sat down on the couch smiling at him

"By the way, where did she go?" ask Joshua to Jenna confused

"She, who's she, that you mentioned?" ask Jenna confused too to Joshua

"June Sawyer, did you see her, I told her to wait for me here actually?" said Joshua staring at Jenna

"No there's no one here when I got here, who is she anyway, someone you close to right now?" ask Jenna started to tease Joshua about it

"Not really, I just knew her yesterday, she's actually one of the nice people I ever met" reply Joshua to Jenna walked out to find June who is already at the bus station ready to leave

...Bus Station...

June stood there alone looking at the view, the fancy crowded place, that she wished she was from, or be one day. She herself still felt guilty to Kenneth. She's looking at her phone it was still early in the afternoon.

On the other hand, Joshua passed through the courtyard and saw Kenneth's tennis racket on the floor and the automatic ball machine still in motion throwing the balls. Joshua then passed through the courtyard and went to a crowded place filled with people to meet June, he arrived at the bus station, but she wasn't there.

"Where did she go?" muttered Joshua looking very concern about it

Kenneth was in his break room getting ready to go home and that's when he saw June standing near his door looking exhausted.

"I'm sorry, if I look like I pretend to praise you, but it was really came from my heart" said June to him

Hearing those words, Kenneth was stunned. He didn't realize that June would apologize to him even though he didn't think it was a big deal.

"Why are you apologizing?" ask Kenneth confused staring at her

"I'm just wanted to make this all straight, before you misunderstood for me, I know I'm not a part of the rich, but please don't treat me like that" said June to Kenneth

June felt that she was being looked down upon by people here, this morning she had experienced humiliation that made people misunderstand her, it was not comfortable at all for her, it's very sensitive.
