He lifted a hand.

“Put it down.”

Instant obedience.

That alone told Rosey everything.

This man didn’t ask.

He controlled.

Vincenzo studied her again.

Then said something that changed her life forever.

“You’re coming with me.”

“You’re crazy. I’m not going anywhere with—”

She didn’t finish.

Because two men grabbed her arms instantly.

“Hey—! Let go of me!” she struggled.

He grunted.

But before she could run—

A hand grabbed her wrist.

His voice dropped lower.

“You saw something you shouldn’t have.”

Rosey glared at him.

“And? I already said I won’t tell anyone!”

“That doesn’t matter.”

His grip tightened slightly.

Not painful.

But final.

“Dead witnesses don’t talk.”

Her heart dropped.

But she still smiled.

A dangerous smile.

“So kill me then.”

For the first time—

Something flickered in Vincenzo’s eyes.

Interest.

Not pity.

Not mercy.

A phone rang.

Vincenzo followed behind slowly.

Unbothered.

Unshaken.

But as he passed her, he said something only she could hear:

“This isn’t a choice.”

Then he paused.

“…it’s an agreement.”

Rosey stopped struggling for half a second.

“Agreement?”

Vincenzo’s eyes darkened.

“Between your grandmother… and my grandfather.”

Rosey’s world tilted.

“What… are you talking about?”

But the car door was already opening.

The rain fell harder.

And the night swallowed her whole.
