4.A Genuine Promise

The day began as usual,waking up,eating breakfast and walking to school.I walked to school,excited for today as today would be the day Kokoro-san joins the literature club.And just so happened,I ran into her on my way to school.

'Aki-kun?Is that you?'

I turned around to see a beautiful blue haired girl.Kokoro had worn a hat of some sort that surprisingly fitted hair really well.

'Ohayou...'

Kokoro pouted.She put her had on my shoulder.I turned around cluelessly and i fell for the cheek.Her index finger was poking my cheek.Are friends supposed to be this close?

'Oh please...stop with that.'

She pulled her hand away and started humming.

'So,ready to join the club?'

She quickly replied

'Yeah...'

'Really?'

'Actually i have been feeling a little nervous.I dont really socialize well with others.'

'Then what was all of that earlier?You were socializing with me weren't you-'

Kokoro-san looked down.It looked as if she were embarrassed.She was as red as a tomato.

'Thats cuz you're special to me...'

'Huh-?'

'Dont think the wrong way.Its cuz i saved you so u have to treat me well soi know i am comfortable when im talking to you'

What a tsundere...

School hours passed by quickly,making me more nervous.What would kaichou think about kokoro-san.What will kokoro-san think of kaichou.Am i screwed??

I was walking to a vending machine to get a BOSSPRESSO but i was stopped by Kokoro-san.I quickly got PTSD attacks and backed away from the vending machine.

'Yo whats up?'

Kokoro-san seemed nervous.She told me to help her out later on,which i had promised to.She told me to follow her

We walked to a bench in the school

garden.She handed me a BOSSPRESSO which was surprising.

'Later on,I might cling to you.Im not good with other people.'

'Hmm.Are you interested in literature?'

We had a long conversation about the famous authors and novels that it wqs time for club when we were done.I lead her to the club room and said

'Its probably okay if you dont talk.kaichou probably doesnt mind.'

Kokoro-san nodded.

I knocked on the door and opened it.

'Pardon my instrusion.'

Kaichou nodded to address me.

I signalled for kokoro-san to come in.She

entered the room and stood there,looking down.Kaichou looked at her and asked

'Umm,Who are you?'

I quickly stepped in to help

'Uhh,She's my friend.She's interested in joining the literature club.'

'Is that so?May i have your name?'

'Oh her name is-'

'I would like her to introduce herself.'

Yabai...If kokoro-san doesnt know what to do,Im going to die of embarrassment.

Kokoro-san opened her mouth

'Im kokoro mitsuba.Im a second year and i would like to join this club.'

Kaichou smiled at her.She slowly walked

towards Kokoro-san

'Theres no need to be so serious.Do you have your application slip?Imma need that for you to officially join this club.'

Kokoro pulled a piece of paper out of her

pocket.

'Here its is...'

'Ight Imma hand this to the teacher and you can join the club.You sure you wanna join the literature club?Theres no turning back...'

Kokoro looked at me then said

'yes.100%'

Kaichou nodded and left the room.She

instructed me to serve Kokoro-san a cup of tea like how she did for me.Suddenly,Kokoro-san hugged me

'I was so nervous.Is it really okay for you?Am I a bother?'

I laughed

'A bother?You saved my life.Don't feel so scared.Kaichou is a great person.'

Kaichou entered the room and saw her

hugging me.

'Oh...I didn't know y'all were together.'

'Yo it's a misunderstanding.'

'I literally just saw you hugging her.Whats a misunderstanding.Just save it till the end of club.'

I looked at kokoro-san.She was blushing a lot.I quickly sat down and read my novel.Kaichou asked Kokoro-san a question.

'So,what can i call you'

'you can call me mitsuba.'

'I see,Then why does Akihito-kun call you Kokoro-san?'

She shrugged

'Aren't yall together or something.'

Kokoro-san shook her head in embarrassment.

'Oh...Sorry for assuming.I take it your the quite type.So whay books do you like?'

'Uhh,romance and drama.'

'Looks like we have the same taste.I gota real good one.Check this book out'

Kaichou handed kokoro-san a book.They were getting together really well.I had probably chosen the right choice this time.After club,Kaichou messaged me.

'The girl you brought in today.She's real cute.So how y'all meet'

'Uhh,it's complicated.'

'Oh so its like that huh.'

'For the idk what time,kokoro-san and i are not together.'

'Chill man...'

kokoro-san and I walked home together.She held onto my sleeve for some reason.She said that kaichou had an intimading aura but was surprisingly chill.I had to agree.The first time i met kaichou,She seemed so cold and scary but was pretty pleasant as a person.Kokoro-san had reached her home

'Thanks for today Aki-Kun.'

She came up to me and kissed me on my cheek.I was flustered as i stood there witg my mouth open.Kokoro-san winked at me smugly and went into her home.

I walked home on my own and was assaulted by Shino when i got home.Shino had cooked a whole meal for us which tasted amazing but looked peculiar.

It was time to sleep.I quickly put my phone away but instantly got a message from

Kokoro-san.

'Yo aki-kun you awake?'

'ye why'

'whats the deal with kaichou.Y'all dating or something?'

'does it look that way?'

'nah i was just randomly asking.'

'cool'

'so umm.you free this saturday.'

'Umm yeah.'

Idk what kokoro-san was going at.after all,i could never read her mind as she is so silent and so cute that i focus on her instead of her mind.
