Episode 4: The Last Days in Paris
Ariana's POV
My phone suddenly started ringing.
I buried my face deeper into my pillow and thought
"Who is disturbing my beauty sleep?"
The phone kept ringing.
I groaned and said
"If this isn't important, I'm blocking them."
I grabbed my phone and looked at the screen.
Brother.
A smile immediately appeared on my face.
I answered the call and said
"Good morning, Brother."
Reyan chuckled and said
"Good morning? Really? It's almost eleven."
I sat up and said
"Details."
Reyan laughed and said
"Only you can call being awake at eleven 'details'."
I pouted and said
"I was resting."
Reyan sighed and said
"You mean sleeping."
I smiled and said
"Same thing."
Reyan shook his head and said
"How's Paris?"
I stretched my arms and said
"Boring."
Reyan raised an eyebrow and said
"You say that every time."
I crossed my arms and said
"Because it's true."
Reyan smiled and said
"Focus on your training."
I dramatically fell back onto my bed and said
"I don't want training. I want a vacation."
Reyan laughed and said
"You haven't even started working yet."
I grinned and said
"Exactly. That's why I deserve one."
After talking for a few more minutes, we ended the call.
I got ready and walked into the living room.
As expected, Eva was already there.
Eva looked up from her tablet and said
"Look who's finally awake."
I sat beside her and said
"Good morning to you too."
Eva rolled her eyes and said
"It's almost noon."
I smiled and said
"Still morning in my heart."
Eva stared at me and said
"That makes absolutely no sense."
I proudly nodded and said
"Thank you."
Eva groaned and said
"That wasn't a compliment."
I laughed.
Honestly, life in Paris would've been unbearable without Eva.
She was one of the few people who could keep up with my personality.
The rest of the day passed with training sessions, lectures, and endless discussions about business.
By the time I returned to the apartment, I felt exhausted.
I dropped onto the couch and said
"I'm retiring."
Eva looked confused and said
"From what?"
I closed my eyes and said
"Everything."
Eva laughed and said
"You're twenty."
I pointed at her and said
"Age doesn't matter."
Before she could answer, my phone rang again.
Dad.
I quickly answered the call and said
"Hello, Dad."
Father smiled and said
"How was your day, Princess?"
I sighed dramatically and said
"Long."
Father chuckled and said
"I expected that answer."
We talked for a few minutes.
He asked about my training.
I complained.
He ignored my complaints.
A normal father-daughter conversation.
Then his tone became serious.
Father calmly said
"Ariana."
I sat up straight and said
"Yes?"
Father smiled and said
"Your training is almost complete."
I froze.
I blinked and said
"What?"
Father nodded and said
"You'll be returning home soon."
For a moment, I didn't know what to say.
Home.
My family.
William Manor.
I smiled softly and said
"Really?"
Father chuckled and said
"Really."
A strange excitement filled my heart.
What I didn't know was that my return home would be the beginning of something much bigger.
Something that would change my life forever.
And somewhere far away...
Fate had already started moving the pieces into place.
To be continued...
