Chapter 3: The Cold Refusal

The third meeting happened under a pouring rain outside the Seoul Arts University campus. Taehyung stood under the concrete awning of the main building, shivering slightly as the autumn wind blew rain droplets onto his clothes. He had forgotten his umbrella, and his parents were both busy—his father was caught in an emergency meeting at Apex Horizon, and his mother was helping an elderly neighbor.

A sleek, roaring black sports car pulled up right in front of the steps, splashing water onto the curb. The door opened, and Jungkook stepped out, holding a large, black luxury umbrella. He walked up the steps with a slow, deliberate grace, completely dry and utterly imposing.

"You're going to catch a cold, Taehyungie," Jungkook said, holding the umbrella over the smaller boy, effectively trapping him within his personal space.

Taehyung froze, his heart hammering against his ribs. It was the third time. This Alpha was everywhere. Every time he turned around, those dark, obsessive eyes were watching him. Taehyung felt a deep sense of dread building in his stomach.

"I am waiting for the bus," Taehyung said, keeping his eyes firmly glued to his worn-out sneakers.

"Don't be stubborn. Get in my car. I'll take you home," Jungkook commanded, his voice shifting into a tone that expected absolute obedience. He reached out, his large, calloused hand gently but firmly gripping Taehyung's soft wrist.

The contact felt like fire. Taehyung violently pulled his hand back, his voice rising in panic. "Don't touch me! I told you to leave me alone! I don't want anything to do with you!"

Several students turned to look at the commotion. Taehyung hated the attention, his anxiety skyrocketing as whispers began to circulate.

Jungkook’s expression darkened instantly. His eyes turned a dangerous, icy shade of red, and a suffocating wave of dominant Alpha pheromones crashed over the awning. The surrounding students immediately bowed their heads and hurried away, terrified of the Supreme Alpha's wrath.

"Look at me," Jungkook growled, his voice dropping to a menacing register.

Taehyung shook his head, tears finally spilling over his cheeks. He covered his ears with his hands, terrified of the deep, angry tone. "No! Go away! I hate loud noises! I hate you!"

Seeing Taehyung cry, a sharp pang of something strange hit Jungkook's chest, but it was quickly swallowed by his toxic possessiveness. He stepped closer, his shadow completely enveloping the shaking Omega.

"You think you have a choice, sweetheart?" Jungkook whispered, his voice dangerously low but calm now. "I've been nice. I've given you space. But you keep running."

"I will never like you," Taehyung sobbed, his voice muffled by his hands. "Please... just let me go."

Jungkook didn't answer. He simply reached out and gently wiped a tear from Taehyung's cheek with his thumb, ignoring the way the boy flinched from his touch. "We'll see about that, My Omega."

With that, Jungkook turned around and walked back to his car, leaving Taehyung trembling in the cold rain.

The next day, Jungkook took action. He didn't care about courtship anymore. He wanted Taehyung, and he wanted him now. He walked into his father’s study that evening, where Namjoon was pouring a glass of whiskey.

"Father," Jungkook said, standing straight. "I want to marry."

Namjoon paused, looking up in genuine surprise. "Marry? You're twenty-one, Jungkook. You spend your nights in clubs. Who could possibly make you want to settle down?"

"Kim Hoseok's son. Kim Taehyung," Jungkook declared, his voice leaving no room for argument. "He's a first-year art student. I want him as my mate."

Namjoon frowned, setting his glass down. "Hoseok is a good man, a dedicated employee. But his family is ordinary, Jungkook. An arranged marriage between a Supreme Alpha heir and a submissive Omega from a working-class family will cause talk."

"I don't care about talk," Jungkook growled, his Alpha aura flaring in defiance. "If I don't get him, I will tear this city apart. Talk to Hoseok. Make it happen."

Namjoon sighed, recognizing the dangerous, unyielding look in his son's eyes. When a Supreme Alpha fixed their mind on a mate, nothing short of death could stop them. "I will look into it, Jungkook. But marriage is a serious contract."
