Chapter 3: A Feeling Called Jealousy

Days quickly turned into weeks.

After officially joining the organization, Erica began taking part in missions alongside Evan and the others.

At first, they only assigned her small and simple missions.

But with every mission...

She exceeded everyone's expectations.

Her intelligence, fighting skills, and perfect aim amazed the entire organization.

Evan reached out and gently grabbed her wrist.

"Wait."

Erica stopped and looked back.

"Yes?"

Evan hesitated for a moment before speaking.

"...Stay away from Lorenzo."

"He isn't a good person."

Erica looked at him for a few seconds...

Then a teasing smile appeared on her face.

"I knew it."

"You really are jealous."

Evan couldn't help smiling.

Without saying another word...

Erica walked away, still smiling to herself.

Evan stood there, watching her disappear into the distance...

A smile remained on his face long after she had gone.

A few days passed…

Lorenzo’s father’s health suddenly worsened. It felt like he had eaten something wrong, but the doctors couldn’t find anything or explain it properly.

Soon after, he passed away.

This death hit Evan the hardest.

Evan already had a bad feeling… that something was coming, and staying there was no longer safe.

That night…

In Evan’s room, a few men entered. Evan was lying on the bed, asleep.

They shot at him—

But it turned out the person on the bed wasn’t Evan… it was just a pillow placed there as a trap.

From behind…

Evan shot all three of them in the head.

He looked at them coldly.

“I told you already… didn’t I?”

He turned toward Erica.

Erica looked at him silently.

Then both of them started running to escape from there.

They got into a car and tried to leave.

But Lorenzo and his men started chasing them.

Halfway down the road…

Their car’s tires were shot, and the vehicle got punctured.

Evan and Erica had to get out.

Evan had a gun, and so did Lorenzo’s men.

Evan said firmly,

“If anyone comes even a little closer, I’ll shoot.”

Hearing this, Lorenzo started laughing.

“Really?”

“Erica…”

At that moment, Erica suddenly took the gun from Evan and pointed it at his head.

Evan was completely shocked and heartbroken.

Lorenzo smiled.

“Do you still think she’s on your side?”

“Erica… tell him.”

Erica looked at Evan. Her eyes showed a slight guilt.

She didn’t feel fully right about this.

Lorenzo then ordered her,

“Shoot him.”

Erica loaded the gun… but suddenly turned and tried to shoot Lorenzo instead.

However, she missed.

Without wasting a second, Lorenzo fired at Erica.

The bullet hit her chest.

It was a full moon night.

As the moonlight fell on her…

Evan screamed in pain. He couldn’t understand what was happening.

His body suddenly began to change… transforming into a wolf.

Everyone around started shooting in fear, but the bullets couldn’t penetrate his thick skin.

In rage, he killed all of them.

After everything ended… he collapsed on the ground and fell unconscious.

After some time, he woke up.

His whole body was in pain.

He didn’t understand what had just happened to him.

He quickly picked up Erica and rushed her to the hospital.

His clothes were covered in blood… and tears filled his eyes.
