The plan was simple, do something outrageous and then plead the king to exile me instead of a death sentence. Easy right? Yeah, I wish. But the more I go around the place, I already can tell that Stewart have done some much, much more outrageous things. I almost jumped in surprise, though at least I didn't shout of anything dramatic. Anyway, Delain was it? Ah yes the male lead of the novel Delain Scruths, the die hard dude and head over heels to Yuri, with a mindset of a true knight. But that mindset was only for Yuri and no one else, he may look loyal and righteous right now but at the time of doom of this kingdom, he was the first to turn his back, all to save his one and true love.
Oh, how touching Delain, but I ain't here for that corny bullsh*t.
" What brings you here your highness?" He spoke with worries in his face.
" Nothing just looking around." I said, but suddenly hearing a sweet voice;
"Lain is that his Royal highness?"
I turned to look at the person speaking, and it was Yuri?! What's he doing here?? They seem really close, to think he'd be calling Delain a high official knight with a nickname. Wait, of course he would, they're lovers after all.
" Umm your highness this is one of the newcomers please forgive if he's a little informal."
Delain's words were really worrying. What do you think am I going to do? While chatting, another guard saw us, and greeted Delain, and only gave me a glance. Wait that's all? He's not going to greet me too? These guys really... In the other side, the guard seems to think that Yuri is a trusted knight, so he said;
" Ah so your highness this new knight here was the one recommend by captain Scruths, I'm sure he's a skilled one."
Everyone seems to have turned silent, so I decided to break the atmosphere and speak up; "Ah is that so? That's new haha."
" What are you saying your highness? Captain Scruths always recommends good knights! You must've forgotten because of a lot of things you're thinking about Hahahaha"
"Hahaha" I laughed along awkwardly, well it's not like I knew that, so shut it. He then continued to speak.
"Ah I know! Why don't we assign this new knight as you temporary escort?
"WHAT?!" Everyone spoke at same time.
Delain immediately refused the idea, and so did I, I mean how could you assign a newcomer as the crown prince's escort?!
" I think it's not a bad idea…" Said by Yuri.
" Then it's settled then hahaha." After that, that meddling guard left as if nothing happened.
No no no, wait, does my opinion not matter here?! I literally said that the idea was ridiculous though but Yuri still insisted?
" I'll be in you care then your highness." Yuri softly smiled to me, well can't deny that he is gorgeous in looks, but he's really... Dense huh...
