Love Unexpected...
The cold, misty mornings of Mussoorie always brought a bustling energy to the Kapoor Mansion, but amidst that hustle, there was no room for Siya. Although 24-year-old Siya was a daughter of the house, her status was no better than that of a servant. Her mother, father, and elder brother completely ignored her. Her life had shrunk to enduring their constant taunts and fulfilling their endless demands.
But Siya’s pain ran much deeper. A profound, unaddressed childhood trauma had left a permanent scar on her mind, manifesting as a severe phobia of men. The mere sound of a man's voice or a male presence nearby would trigger intense panic within her. This fear isolated her even further, especially since her family dismissed her condition as mere "drama."
One evening, a sudden and heavy downpour hit Mussoorie. Dark clouds blanketed the sky, and freezing winds howled through the hills. The Kapoor family had ordered a massive feast online, and as usual, Siya was sent outside into the storm to collect the delivery.
Clutching an umbrella with trembling hands, Siya stood near the main gate. The rain was so blinding that it was difficult to see ahead. Suddenly, a motorbike pulled up, and a delivery boy named Shiyaan stepped off.
Shiyaan set his bike on its stand and removed his helmet. Though completely drenched, his face held a striking sense of calm and gentleness. As he stepped forward to hand over the parcel, Siya instinctively recoed, taking two sharp steps back. Her hands shook violently, almost dropping her umbrella. Seeing the raw terror in her eyes, Shiyaan instantly understood.
Shiyaan showed remarkable empathy. He knew that even the slightest forward movement could worsen her panic. He froze in his tracks, ensuring he didn't invade her personal space.
In a soft, reassuring voice, he said, "Please don't be afraid. I will stay right here. I am placing the parcel on this table, you can pick it up comfortably."
He gave Siya all the space she needed, choosing to stand unprotected in the pouring rain just to make her feel secure. Seeing his gentle demeanor and respectful distance, Siya slowly looked up. She saw no malice or hidden motives in Shiyaan’s eyes; instead, she sensed a quiet, familiar pain that seemed to mirror her own. Shiyaan had faced his own hardships in life, which allowed him to recognize and respect someone else's fear.
With trembling hands, Siya reached out and took the parcel from the table. For the first time in years, the suffocating terror in her chest felt a little lighter. Shiyaan looked at her, offered a safe, reassuring smile, and quietly rode away into the rain.
The storm continued to rage over Mussoorie, but amidst the freezing cold, Siya felt an unfamiliar warmth. For the very first time, a man’s presence hadn't brought fear, but a profound sense of safety. Without saying much, Shiyaan had taken the first step toward healing her heart.
