Episode 2: The Golden Girl

Golden rays of sunlight filtered through the sheer white curtains, bathing the grand Rossi estate in a warm glow. Nestled among rolling hills overlooking the Mediterranean coastline, the mansion stood as one of Monaco's most admired residences. Marble fountains sparkled beneath the morning sun while perfectly trimmed rose gardens stretched endlessly across the estate.

The mansion was peaceful.

Elegant.

Almost too perfect.

Elena Rossi slowly opened her eyes as the first rays of dawn reached her room. She stretched lazily before walking barefoot toward the wide balcony attached to her bedroom.

A gentle sea breeze brushed against her face, carrying the scent of fresh roses from the gardens below.

She closed her eyes for a moment, smiling softly.

"This never gets old..."

From above, she watched gardeners carefully tending flowers while maids prepared the outdoor breakfast table.

The estate had always been full of life.

Not because of luxury.

But because everyone treated one another like family.

As she walked downstairs, the staff greeted her with warm smiles.

"Good morning, Miss Elena."

"Good morning."

One of the elderly housekeepers held out a freshly baked croissant.

"You skipped breakfast yesterday."

Elena laughed.

"I know... and you haven't forgiven me yet."

"You work too much."

She accepted the pastry with a grateful smile.

"I'll make it up to you."

The housekeeper gently patted her shoulder.

Unlike many wealthy heirs, Elena never demanded special treatment.

She remembered every employee's name, thanked everyone personally, and never allowed anyone to carry things she could manage herself.

That was why everyone respected her.

Not because she was Victor Rossi's daughter...

But because she had earned their affection.

_________

A few hours later...

The elegant glass doors of Rossi Design Studio slid open as Elena entered with a sketchbook tucked beneath her arm.

Although the studio belonged to the Rossi Group, Elena insisted on working like every other designer.

She arrived on time.

Accepted criticism.

Stayed late whenever deadlines approached.

"Morning, Elena."

"Morning!"

One of the interns hurried toward her.

"The client requested another revision."

Elena smiled.

"Then let's make it better."

For the next several hours, she immersed herself in blueprints, color palettes, and architectural models.

She wasn't building houses.

She was designing places where people could create memories.

That was why she loved her work.

Around noon, her assistant quietly approached.

"Miss Rossi... your father is calling."

A smile immediately appeared on Elena's face.

She answered.

"Dad?"

"My princess."

His familiar voice was warm.

Gentle.

Comforting.

"Working again?"

"You know me."

He chuckled.

"I do."

There was a brief pause before he continued.

"Don't forget the charity gala this Saturday."

Elena glanced at her calendar.

"I wouldn't miss it."

"Good."

"They're honoring several international charities this year."

"I'll be there."

"Perfect."

His voice softened.

"And don't work too hard."

"I won't."

After ending the call, Elena looked at the phone for a moment.

She had always admired her father.

To her...

Victor Rossi wasn't just Monaco's most successful businessman.

He was her hero.

The man who taught her kindness.

The man who encouraged her dreams.

The man she trusted without question.

She smiled to herself before returning to work.

She had no idea that every belief she held about her father was standing on fragile ground.

At the same time...

Several kilometers away...

__________

The top floor of Rey Global Headquarters overlooked the glittering skyline of Monaco.

Inside the silent office, Kaivan Rey stood before the floor-to-ceiling windows, hands tucked into his pockets.

His expression remained unreadable.

The city below looked peaceful.

He knew better.

A knock echoed through the room.

"Come in."

Noah (Kaivan's best friend) entered carrying a black folder.

"The invitations have been delivered."

Kaivan didn't turn around.

Only one question escaped his lips.

"Will Victor Rossi attend?"

"Yes."

A brief silence followed.

Then...

"And his daughter?"

"...Yes."

Kaivan finally turned.

His cold gray eyes met Noah's.

Without another word, he closed the folder with a quiet snap.

"Good."

Nothing else.

No celebration.

No satisfaction.

Only silence.

Noah understood exactly what that single word meant.

The first move had been made.

The game had officially begun.

That evening...

___________

Back at the Rossi mansion, a black envelope embossed with gold arrived.

Elena carefully broke the wax seal.

Inside rested an elegant invitation bordered with black and gold.

The Monaco International Charity Gala

She smiled as she traced the golden lettering with her fingertips.

"It looks beautiful."

Completely unaware...

That accepting one invitation...

Would change the course of her life forever.
