THE UNBREAKABLE VOW

CHAPTER 1: THE NIGHT EVERYTHING CHANGED

Keifer's POV

The rain was merciless that night, pounding against the windows of my penthouse like the fists of an angry god. I stood by the glass, watching the city lights blur through the water-streaked pane, but my mind was elsewhere. It was consumed by her. Always by her.

Jay.

Her name was a prayer on my lips, a wound in my heart that refused to heal. I had been a fool. A complete and utter idiot. I thought I was protecting her by pushing her away, by building walls between us. I thought the darkness of my world—the violence, the threats, the constant danger—was too much for someone as bright and pure as her. I thought I was being noble.

But I was just a coward.

I had broken her trust, shattered her heart, and in doing so, I had destroyed my own. The weeks of her cold silence had been torture. Every time I saw her, her eyes would flicker with pain before she looked away, and that pain was a knife twisting in my gut. I missed her laugh, her teasing, the way she would call me "ulupong" with that infuriatingly adorable smirk. I missed holding her, breathing her in, feeling like for the first time in my miserable life, I was home.

I couldn't live like this anymore. I needed her back. I needed to win her forgiveness, no matter what it cost.

I caught my reflection in the dark glass. My eyes were hollow, shadowed with sleepless nights. My jaw was tight with determination. I reached for my phone, my thumb trembling as I typed out a message. It was desperate, pathetic, and completely honest.

"Jay. I know I have no right to ask for anything from you. But I'm begging you. Please, just give me one chance to explain. I'll be outside your place in thirty minutes. If you don't come, I'll understand. But I need you to know the truth. I love you. I never stopped loving you. I'm sorry for everything."

I hit send before I could lose my nerve. The next thirty minutes were the longest of my life. I paced, I prayed, I hoped. When the time was up, I grabbed my keys and headed out into the storm.

Jay's POV

I was lying in bed, staring at the ceiling, when my phone buzzed. My heart leaped into my throat when I saw his name. Keifer. Why did he have to keep doing this? Why couldn't he just leave me alone so I could try to forget him?

But I knew I would never forget him. That was the problem.

I opened the message, and my resolve crumbled. 'I'm begging you.' Those three words undid me. Keifer Watson didn't beg. He was arrogant, stubborn, and infuriatingly proud. But he was also the man who had held me when I cried, who had looked at me like I was the most precious thing in the world, who had made me feel like I mattered.

I knew him. I knew the boy who had lost his mother, the man who had been forced to grow up too fast, the protector who carried the weight of his family on his shoulders. And I knew he was hurting. Despite everything, I couldn't stand to see him in pain.

I sighed, running a hand through my hair. "Aries!" I called out. "I'm going out for a bit. Don't tell Kuya Angelo. He'll lose his mind."

I threw on a simple sundress, not wanting to look like I'd made an effort, and headed for the door. As I stepped outside, the rain immediately soaked through my dress, but I didn't care. He was there, just as I knew he would be, leaning against his black SUV, his dark hair plastered to his forehead. He looked like a drowned puppy, and despite everything, my heart ached for him.

Keifer's POV

When she stepped out of the house, the world seemed to stop. She was wearing a yellow sundress, the color of sunshine, and it clung to her wet skin. Her hair was plastered to her face, and her eyes were wary. But she had come. That was all that mattered.

I walked around and opened the passenger door for her, a small, desperate gesture of chivalry.

She eyed me suspiciously. "Oh, so now you're a gentleman?"

I just nodded, not trusting my voice. She got in, and I closed the door gently, as if she was made of glass. I got behind the wheel, my hands gripping the leather so tightly my knuckles turned white. The silence in the car was suffocating. I could smell her perfume, that faint floral scent that haunted my dreams.

"We can't talk here," I finally said, my voice rough. "There's a café nearby. It's quiet there."

She just nodded, staring out the window. The rain painted tears on the glass.

At the Café

We sat in a secluded corner, far from the prying eyes of the few other patrons. The warm glow of the lights and the scent of coffee did nothing to ease the tension between us. I watched her wrap her hands around her cup, her fingers trembling slightly. She looked so fragile, so vulnerable, and I wanted nothing more than to reach out and hold her.

"Hoy, Keifer!" she finally blurted out, the familiar nickname sounding more like an accusation. "Why did you call me? What do you want?"

I took a deep breath, gathering my courage. "Jay," I began, my voice trembling. "I know I messed up. I was an idiot. I was so caught up in keeping you safe from my world that I forgot to let you in. I thought if I pushed you away, you'd be safe. But I was wrong. I was so wrong."

I reached across the table, my fingers inches from hers. "I see you, Jay. I see the strong, fiery woman who isn't afraid of anyone. But I also see the girl who cried with me when I told her about my mom. You know me. You're the only one who's ever known the real me. And I know I don't deserve you. But I can't imagine my life without you. I can't breathe without you."

Her eyes were glistening with unshed tears, and it took everything in me not to break down.

"Please," I whispered, my voice cracking. "Forgive me. I love you. I'll spend the rest of my life proving it to you. I'll be stronger. I'll protect you. I'll never give you a reason to doubt me again."

A single tear slipped down her cheek. "Keifer," she whispered. "How can I trust you again?"

I looked into her eyes, pouring every ounce of sincerity I possessed into my gaze. "Take it one day at a time. Watch me. Judge me by my actions, not my words. I promise you, Jay. I will never hurt you again."

Something inside her broke. I saw the walls she had built around her heart begin to crumble. She reached across the table and took my hand, her fingers intertwining with mine.

"Okay," she whispered, so softly I almost missed it. "Okay, Keifer."

A choked sob of relief escaped my throat. I pulled her into my arms, holding her like she was the most precious thing in the world. She was. I buried my face in her hair, breathing in her scent, feeling her warmth against me. She was mine again. I had been given a second chance, and I would not waste it.

I pulled back, cupping her face in my hands, and kissed her. It was soft at first, a trembling question. Then she answered, kissing me back with a hunger that matched my own. It was a kiss of forgiveness, of promise, of belonging. We were us again.

When we finally broke apart, we were both breathless. I rested my forehead against hers, my eyes closed.

"I love you, Jay," I whispered. "I never stopped loving you. I don't think I ever could."

"I love you too, Keifer," she whispered back. "Even when I was angry, even when I was hurt, I still loved you."

CHAPTER 2: THE FIRST NIGHT TOGETHER

Keifer's POV

After the café, I didn't want to let her go. The thought of her going back to her place, of being alone without her, was unbearable.

"Jay," I said, my voice hesitant. "Come home with me. Please. I don't want to be apart from you. Not tonight."

She looked at me, her eyes searching mine. "Keifer, I don't know if I'm ready—"

"Just to sleep," I interrupted quickly. "I just want to hold you. Nothing else. I promise."

She was quiet for a long moment, and I held my breath, waiting.

"Okay," she finally whispered. "Okay, Keifer."

At the Penthouse

I led her into my penthouse, the place that had felt so empty without her. Now, with her here, it felt like a home again.

"This is beautiful," she said, looking around. "I've never been here before."

"Then let me give you the tour," I said, taking her hand.

I showed her the living room, the kitchen, the study. And then I showed her the master bedroom.

"This is my room," I said, my voice suddenly nervous. "Our room, if you want. If you stay."

She walked over to the large bed, running her hand over the silk sheets. "It's beautiful, Keifer."

"Not as beautiful as you," I said, walking up behind her and wrapping my arms around her waist.

She leaned into my embrace, her head resting against my chest. "You're so cheesy."

"Only for you," I murmured, kissing her neck.

I turned her around to face me, cupping her face in my hands. "Jay, I want to do this right. I want to take things slow. I want to build a future with you. A real future. But tonight, I just want to hold you. Is that okay?"

She nodded, a soft smile on her face. "That's more than okay, Keifer."

We changed into comfortable clothes—I gave her one of my shirts to wear. It was huge on her, but she looked adorable. We climbed into bed, and I pulled her into my arms, her head resting on my chest.

"Thank you," I whispered into her hair. "Thank you for giving me another chance."

"I should be thanking you," she whispered back. "For never giving up on me."

We talked for hours that night. We talked about our childhoods, our dreams, our fears. She told me about her family, about growing up with Angelo. I told her about my mother, about the pain of losing her, about the monster my father had become.

"I've never told anyone this before," I admitted, my voice thick with emotion. "But I feel like I can tell you anything."

"You can," she said, looking up at me. "I'm here, Keifer. I'm not going anywhere."

I kissed her forehead, my heart overflowing with love. "I love you, Jay. I love you more than I ever thought I could love anyone."

"I love you too, Keifer," she whispered. "More than anything."

The Night Deepens

We lay in silence for a while, just holding each other. The rain continued to fall outside, a soft rhythm against the windows. I could feel her heartbeat against my chest, steady and reassuring.

"Keifer," she murmured, her voice sleepy. "Promise me something."

"Anything," I said, stroking her hair.

"Promise me that no matter what happens, you'll always fight for us. Promise me you'll never give up on us."

I looked down at her, my eyes shining. "I promise, Jay. I will never give up on us. No matter what."

The Morning After

I woke up before the sun, the soft glow of dawn filtering through the curtains. Jay was still asleep, her head on my chest, her hair splayed across the pillow like a dark halo. She looked so peaceful, so beautiful. I could have stayed there forever, just watching her breathe.

I gently brushed a strand of hair from her face, marveling at how soft her skin was. She stirred slightly, a small smile playing on her lips.

"Good morning, beautiful," I whispered.

Her eyes fluttered open, and the moment she saw me, her smile widened. "Good morning, Mr. Watson."

"Mrs. Watson," I corrected, kissing her forehead. "How did you sleep?"

"Like a baby," she said, stretching like a cat. "In your arms, I always sleep well."

My heart swelled. "You know, I could get used to this. Waking up with you every morning. Having you in my arms every night."

She giggled, that adorable sound that made my heart skip a beat. "You better get used to it, Keifer. Because I'm not going anywhere."

"Promise?" I asked, my voice suddenly serious.

Her eyes softened. "I promise. Forever."

I kissed her then, soft and tender. It was a kiss full of promise, full of hope. A kiss that said we were in this together, no matter what.

"Stay in bed with me today," I murmured against her lips. "Just the two of us. No work, no threats, no danger. Just us."

"Keifer, you have a business to run," she laughed.

"The business can wait," I said, pulling her closer. "You can't."

She laughed again, that beautiful sound that filled my soul with joy. "You're impossible."

"And you love me for it."

"I do," she whispered, kissing me again. "I really do."

✨ ORIGINAL CHAPTER 3: THE MORNING AFTER CONFESSIONS

Keifer's POV

The morning sun streamed through the curtains, casting a warm golden glow across the room. I lay there, watching Jay sleep, my heart so full it felt like it would burst. She was so beautiful, so peaceful. I could have stayed there forever, just watching her breathe.

Her eyes fluttered open, and she smiled when she saw me. "You're still here," she murmured.

"I'm not going anywhere," I said, kissing her forehead. "I'm never leaving you again."

She snuggled closer, her head resting on my chest. "I love you, Keifer. I know I said it last night, but I want you to know that I mean it. I love you with all my heart."

I felt tears prick at my eyes. "I love you too, Jay. More than anything in this world. I know I hurt you before, and I'll never forgive myself for that. But I promise you, I will spend the rest of my life making it up to you."

She looked up at me, her eyes shining. "I know you will. I trust you, Keifer."

Jay's POV

The words came out before I could stop them. "I trust you." And I meant it. For the first time in months, I truly meant it.

He pulled me closer, his arms wrapped around me like I was the most precious thing in the world. "Thank you," he whispered, his voice thick with emotion. "Thank you for trusting me again."

"Just don't break it," I said, trying to lighten the mood. "Because I don't think I could survive it a second time."

"Never," he said, his voice fierce. "I will never break your trust again. I swear it on my life."

✨ ORIGINAL CHAPTER 4: REBUILDING TRUST

Keifer's POV (The First Week)

The first week back together was magical. Jay was still hesitant at times, but she was trying. I could see it in the way she looked at me, the way she let me hold her, the way she smiled.

I was determined to earn her trust back, no matter how long it took. I took her on dates, surprised her with little gifts, and never pushed her for more than she was ready to give.

One evening, I took her to the rooftop of my building. I had set up a small picnic, complete with candles and her favorite food.

"Keifer, this is beautiful," she said, her eyes wide with wonder.

"Not as beautiful as you," I said, pulling her into my arms. "I know I've hurt you, Jay. I know I have a long way to go to earn your trust. But I'm willing to do whatever it takes. I love you, and I will spend the rest of my life proving that to you."

She looked at me, her eyes glistening. "I know, Keifer. I'm just scared."

"I know you are," I said, cupping her face. "And I'm going to prove to you that you don't have to be. I'm not going anywhere. I will never hurt you again."

Jay's POV

I looked into his eyes, and for the first time, I believed him. The fear that had been holding me back started to fade.

"I believe you," I whispered. "I trust you, Keifer."

He pulled me into his arms, holding me tightly. "Thank you," he whispered. "Thank you for giving me another chance."

✨ ORIGINAL CHAPTER 5: THE SURPRISE DATE

Keifer's POV (One Month Later)

I wanted to do something special for Jay. Something that would show her how much she meant to me. I planned a romantic date—a sunset cruise on the harbor.

"What's all this?" she asked as I led her to the boat.

"It's a surprise," I said, grinning. "Just trust me."

The boat was beautiful, lit with fairy lights and filled with roses. There was a table set for two, complete with candles and champagne.

"Keifer," she breathed, her eyes wide with wonder. "This is incredible."

"Only the best for you," I said, pulling her into my arms. "I love you, Jay. I want to give you everything you deserve."

The Sunset

We sailed into the sunset, the sky painted in shades of orange and pink. Jay was sitting on my lap, her head resting on my shoulder.

"Thank you," she whispered. "Thank you for this. For everything."

"I should be thanking you," I said, kissing her forehead. "Thank you for coming back to me. For giving me a second chance."

"I'll always come back to you, Keifer," she said, looking up at me. "I'll always choose you."

I kissed her then, soft and tender. The sunset cast a golden glow around us, and for a moment, it felt like we were the only two people in the world.

✨ ORIGINAL CHAPTER 6: THE DREAM OF THE FUTURE

Keifer's POV (Two Months Later)

Our relationship had blossomed into something more beautiful than I had ever imagined. Jay was living with me now, and every day I woke up grateful to have her by my side. The threat from Yuri Navarro loomed in the background, but I refused to let it steal our happiness. I had Section E watching our backs, and I was determined to protect her at all costs.

One night, we were lying in bed, the city lights casting a soft glow through the window. Jay was curled against my chest, her head resting over my heart. I ran my fingers through her hair, marveling at how lucky I was.

"Keifer," she murmured, her voice soft and sleepy. "What do you want in life? Like... when you think about the future, what do you see?"

The question caught me off guard. I had never allowed myself to dream about the future. My life had been about survival, about protecting my brothers, about seeking revenge against my father. But with Jay, everything was different. She made me believe in hope.

"I see you," I said, my voice thick with emotion. "I see a house full of laughter. I see little feet running around, tiny hands grabbing at my fingers. I want a family, Jay. The family I never had. I want to be the father my monster wasn't. I want to watch our children grow up, teach them how to be strong and kind. I want to grow old with you, watching our kids have kids of their own."

She was quiet for a long moment, and I felt a tremor run through her. When she spoke, her voice was barely a whisper. "I want that too, Keifer. More than anything."

"Really?" I asked, my heart soaring.

She nodded against my chest. "I want to give you that. I want to be the mother of your children. I want to build a family with you."

Joy flooded through me, so overwhelming that I felt tears prick at my eyes. I tilted her chin up and kissed her deeply, pouring all my love and gratitude into that single kiss.

"We'll have that," I promised, my voice fierce with conviction. "I'll make sure of it. We'll build our family, Jay. Nothing will stop us."

Jay's POV

His words filled me with a warmth I had never known. I could picture it so clearly: a house filled with laughter, children running around, Keifer playing with them in the garden. I wanted that so badly it hurt. I wanted to give him everything he had been denied. I wanted to heal the wounds his monster of a father had inflicted.

"I love you, Keifer," I whispered against his lips.

"I love you too, Jay. More than anything in this world."

We made love that night with a tenderness that left me breathless. It wasn't just passion; it was a promise. A vow. We were building our future together, one moment at a time.

✨ ORIGINAL CHAPTER 7: THE FIRST FIGHT

Keifer's POV (Three Months After Getting Back Together)

Our first fight happened three months after we got back together. It was a stupid, petty argument about something meaningless. But it escalated, as fights often do, and before I knew it, we were screaming at each other.

"You never listen to me!" Jay shouted, her face flushed with anger.

"I listen to you all the time!" I shouted back. "You just never say anything worth listening to!"

She gasped, her eyes filling with hurt. "How dare you! I have given up everything for you! I have sacrificed my pride, my happiness, my future—all for you! And this is how you treat me?"
