But you're... still an asshole

In the hallway...

Jungkook glanced over at her. "If Mr. Son notices, I'll take the blame," he said quietly.

"Couldn't you just go by yourself, finish your lesson, and then come get me?" she complained.

Jungkook suddenly stopped walking.

She had a point, he admitted to himself.

"That's... actually not a bad idea," he said, a hint of amusement in his voice. "My lesson is only half an hour. When I'm done, we'll go straight home."

He pushed open the door to the boys' locker room.

"Get inside, and don't make a sound," he said softly.

"I know how a locker room works, damn it," Y/N muttered as she walked past him.

A few minutes later, he finished changing.

Holy... why do his arms look so good? And since when did he have tattoos? Seriously, if you're blessed with a body like that, at least work on your personality, Y/N thought.

"Could you stop staring before it becomes a habit?" Jungkook teased as he slung his gym bag over his shoulder. "Oh, wait... too late."

"I wasn't admiring you," she mumbled, mostly to herself. "I was just wondering why your body looks... overnourished."

"Overnourished?" He let out a laugh. "Sweetheart, I have the body of a Greek god."

Without another word, he turned and walked out of the locker room.

What an asshole, she thought, following him into the gym.

The practice was over faster than she expected.

She had never watched boxing training before, but one thing was obvious—Jungkook was good.

Every movement was sharp and controlled. His footwork was effortless, his punches landed perfectly, and he never once fell behind his coach's instructions.

By the time the thirty-minute session ended, he walked over to her, wiping the sweat from his face with a white towel.

"So?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. "Was I good?"

"I've never watched boxing before," she replied with a small shrug, her voice almost emotionless. "But... that was impressive."

A satisfied grin tugged at the corners of his lips.

"I'll take a quick shower, then we'll leave."

Before she could respond, he was already heading back toward the locker room.

He didn't greet anyone... didn't even say goodbye. I don't think he's close with anyone here, she thought as she absentmindedly scrolled through her phone.

A short while later, Jungkook returned, now dressed in his usual oversized black clothes.

"Let's go," he said, effortlessly picking up her bag once again.

The two of them walked out of the school building and towards the parking lot.

Y/N suddenly stopped walking."...No." Jungkook looked back at her. "What do you mean no?"

She pointed at the black motorbike parked a few metres away. "I'm not getting on that."

He let out a small sigh. "It's completely safe."

She folded her arms."No, it's not."

"It is. As long as you hold on and don't let go." He said softly.

Y/N stared at him. "That doesn't make me feel any better."

Jungkook smirked before opening the storage compartment. "I even have two helmets."

He held one out to her.

She didn't take it. "No. I'm walking." She turned around. "I need the exercise anyway."

She had barely taken two steps before Jungkook grabbed her arm. "I'm not letting you walk."

Before she could protest, he gently placed the helmet on her head. "There."

He adjusted the strap under her chin. "You'll be fine."

She looked up at him. "You know kidnapping is a crime, right?"

"I'm driving you home."

"Against my will." She complained.

"Details."

She rolled her eyes. "If I die, I'm haunting you."

"If you die..." He put on his own helmet before climbing onto the bike. "...I'll apologise."

Y/N stared at him. "You'll apologise?"

"Probably."

"What an asshole." She let out a long sigh before climbing onto the back of the bike.

Jungkook started the engine. "You should probably hold on."

"I'm not holding onto you."

"Suit yourself." The bike suddenly pulled forward.

"OH MY GOD!"

Without thinking, Y/N wrapped both arms tightly around his waist.

A smile appeared on Jungkook's face.

"I thought you weren't holding on."

"...Shut up and drive."

Jungkook chuckled to himself before pulling out of the parking lot.

At first, Y/N kept her eyes tightly shut.

"I'm going to die." She thought to herself.

She held onto him a little tighter every time he turned a corner.

"You know..." Jungkook said over the sound of the engine. "...You can breathe."

"I am breathing."

"Barely."

"I don't trust your driving."

"You don't trust anything."

"I trust plenty of things."

"Oh yeah?" he laughed. "Name one."

"Myself."

He shook his head. "I walked right into that one."

Y/N smiled to herself. Maybe this wasn't so bad.

The ride continued in silence, the cool breeze brushing against her face.

Before she knew it, Jungkook slowed down and pulled into her driveway.

He switched off the engine. "We're here."

Y/N carefully climbed off the bike and took off her helmet. "...That was actually..."

Jungkook raised an eyebrow. "Actually what?"

She handed him the helmet. "I survived."

He let out a laugh. "I was waiting for you to admit I was a good driver."

"Don't push your luck."

He smiled. "I'll see you tomorrow."

Y/N took her bag from his hands. "You mean you'll annoy me tomorrow."

"Same thing."

She rolled her eyes. "What an asshole."

Jungkook laughed as she walked toward her front door.

Just before she stepped inside, she heard his voice behind her.

"Hey."

She turned around. "What?"

"Don't forget your homework."

She blinked. "You remembered?"

He shrugged. "I remember a lot of things."

Before she could say anything else, he put his helmet back on and started the bike.

Within seconds, he was gone.

Y/N stood there for a moment.

...He's still an asshole.

For some reason... She couldn't stop smiling.

                 INSIDE Y/N'S HOUSE

"Mom, I'm home!" Y/N called as she walked through the front door.

"I'm in the kitchen!" her mother called back.

Y/N placed her bag on the table.

"Who dropped you off?" her mother asked curiously.

An asshole, Y/N thought to herself.

"He's not important."

Her mother peeked around the corner with a teasing smile.

"Baby, he dropped you home from school on the back of a motorcycle. If you two aren't dating, then give him to me."

"Mom!" Y/N exclaimed. "You can't say things like that."

Her mother shrugged. "When you're twenty-three and single, you take every chance you get."

Y/N stared at her. "You're thirty-three, not twenty-three."

"...Age is just a number."

"So is your blood pressure."

Her mother gasped dramatically.

"Y/N!"

"What?"

"That was rude."

"You started it."

Y/N headed upstairs to take a shower.

After changing into her pajamas, she flopped onto her bed and grabbed her phone.

She opened her messages and immediately texted Minhee.

Y/N:

I truly hate him.

He was so irritating today.

First he stole my bag.

Then he made me skip detention.

Then he practically forced me onto his stupid motorcycle.

And the worst part...

His face is so hard to get mad at.

She stared at her screen for a moment before sending another paragraph.

Y/N:

He's so full of himself.

He actually said he has the body of a Greek god.

I swear he's the most annoying person I've ever met.

A few minutes later, her phone buzzed.

Minhee:

He's that irritating?

Me again I know I'm disturbing...

But from now on my stories will be slightly longer and you're getting closer to the actual plot of the story.
