The recording ended.For a long time, Adrian couldn't move.The man he had hated for six years..had never been the true enemy.

That evening, Adrian stood alone on the cliffs overlooking the ruins of Vesper House

Only fragments of the old stone walls remained

The great oak tree had survived though its trunk was blackened by fire

He rested a hand against its rough bark

Memories came flooding back of Lucien laughing as they raced across the gardens

He already knew who it was by the footsteps

"You listened to the recording."

Before either man could continue, headlights appeared on the narrow road.A black sedan stopped at the entrance to the ruins.The rear door opened.An older man stepped out, holding an umbrella as though he were arriving at a business meeting rather than the scene of a massacre.

"Damien Ardent."

His silver hair was untouched by the rain.

His expensive suit remained perfectly pressed.

He smiled with pure evil intentions indicating that he has won

"So...looks like You finally discovered the truth."

Adrian's fists clenched at his sides in rage ready to attack the moment that damien says another word.

Lucien stared at his father as though looking at a stranger he didn't know the person in front of him

"You planned everything? EVERYTHING?!"

Damien sighed almost impatiently.

"I planned what had to be done."

"You murdered innocent people..why would you do that?," Lucien said, his voice shaking.

"They stood in my way too much so had to get rid of them."Damian replied in an uninterested voice

"You murdered Mother You murdered your own wife."

Damien's expression didn't change eyes filled with nothing but satisfaction

"She became inconvenient and was getting in my way."

Lucien staggered back a step. The words struck harder than any knife.It was hard for him to believe that his whole life was a lie.

Damien slowly walked across the ruined courtyard steps heavy and His shoes crunching over broken stone.

"I loved Evelyn(Noah's mother) long before Victor ever met her."

His gaze settled on the remains of the mansion

"But She dared choose him."

"I offered her power money everything she could ever wish for but She chose kindness."

"I offered her the world."

"She chose your father.She chose that bastard over me."

His smile faded into something cold something obsessive.

"If I couldn't have her......then neither could he or anyone else in this world."

Adrian felt years of pure anger threatening to consume him any moment

Every instinct screamed for revenge.He raised his gun pointing it directly at Damian

One bullet

One second

And It would all be over

But then he remembered Victor's voice

"Don't become the thing that destroyed us whatever may happen just don't ."

Slowly...

He lowered his gun

Damien laughed loudly thinking he has just won the game of chess

"You're too weak to do it."

Adrian finally spoke.

"No."

"I've simply prepared something better that you would never forget..ever"Adrien smirked knowing he was about to flip that gamem

At that exact moment, Damien's phone began ringing.

Then another

And another

His confident expression slowly disappeared into amidst air

He answered the first call

"What?"

Silence.

Then anger.

"THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE...WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT YOU-."

He ended the call

A second immediately followed

His bank accounts had been frozen

A third

All his private assets had been seized by the government

A fourth

His board of directors had resigned from the company saying it is a waste now

A fifth call was made

His political allies publicly denied knowing him and pushed him into the pit all alone.

Lucien quietly watched as everything unfold infront of him

"What have you done?" Damien whispered

Adrian looked at him calmly

"For six years, I collected every document you hid You think I was just fooling around all these years."

Adrien laughed "Damien.....Damien you are such a fool."

"For years I collected Every forged order,Every witness statement ,Every payment you made, Every recording you recorded ."

"I sent them to the police..."

"...the courts..."

"...the media..."

"...and your own allies."

Adrian stepped closer smirking and whispered

"You built your empire on secrets."

"I destroyed it with the sole truth you tried to bury."

Police vehicles surrounded the estate.

Military officials stepped through the ruined gates as they slowly approached Damien

He looked around desperately.

No bodyguards came.

No allies arrived.

No one answered his calls.

The empire that had once obeyed him had vanished in a single afternoon.

A Policeman came and ordered Damien," Put your hands behind your back."As the handcuffs closed around his wrists, Damien looked at Adrian.

"You think you've won?You think you're some hero!"

Adrian shook his head

"My family isn't coming back."

"No victory can change that truth."

He glanced toward the blackened remains of the mansion that was once his home

"But at least now you will never hurt another family again."

Damien was dragged away without another word.

The Vesper's family's Revenge was finally taken....

The rain finally began to ease.

Only Adrian and Lucien remained among the ruins.

For a long time, neither spoke.

Then Lucien slowly removed the Ardent family ring from his finger.

He looked at it one last time before placing it on a broken stone where the entrance hall had once stood.

"I spent six years believing I deserved your hatred," he said quietly.

"And maybe I still do deserve it."

Adrian looked toward the sea

"I don't know if I can forgive you as you're still that man's blood."

Lucien nodded understanding Adrien's reason

They stood together in silence as dawn slowly broke over the cliffs

The fire had taken their sweet childhood and now only memories remained

The lies had stolen six years of their lives

But the truth...At last...

Not every revenge needs to end with a bloodbath.

Some revenge ends with just a soul standing alone without having a shoulder to rely on.

Damien took away Noah's everything just because he was blinded by jealousy and ego.He was jealous of Victor who took both his love and fame.
