SFX: Wooden sword clashing. Birds chirping faintly.
A small open yard beside the house.
The boy, now five, grips a wooden sword with both hands. His stance is awkward but determined.
Across from him stands his father, holding another wooden sword.
FATHER (calmly)
“Keep your balance. Don’t rush your swing.”
The boy nods.
He steps forward—swings—
SFX: THUD.
His sword misses completely. He stumbles forward and falls flat on the ground.

[SILENCE… THEN]
FATHER (trying not to laugh)
“…Again.”

[MONTAGE – SWORD TRAINING FAILURES]
— He swings too early.
— Too late.
— Trips over his own feet.
— Gets lightly tapped on the head again and again.
MC (V.O., frustrated)
“…Why is this so hard?”

[SCENE – AFTER TRAINING]
He sits on the ground, exhausted.
Wooden sword beside him.
Sweat dripping down his face.
MC (V.O.)
“…In my past life… I failed at everything…”
He clenches his fists.
MC (V.O.)
“…Am I going to be the same again…?”

[FATHER WALKS OVER]
He sits beside him.
FATHER (gently)
“You’re trying too hard to force it.”
The boy looks up.
FATHER
“Swordsmanship isn’t just strength. It’s rhythm… timing… instinct.”
He pats the boy’s head.
FATHER (smiling)
“You’ll get there.”

[MC POV – QUIET]
MC (V.O.)
“…Will I…?”

[SCENE TRANSITION – FOREST – LATE AFTERNOON]
The boy stands alone again.
This time, no sword.
Only silence.
He raises his hand slowly.
MC (V.O.)
“…Magic… feels different.”
He closes his eyes.
No words.
No chants.
Just focus.

[SUDDEN – A SOFT GLOW APPEARS]
A small flame forms in his palm instantly.
Steady. Controlled.
No flicker.

MC (V.O., surprised)
“…It came out… without anything?”
He stares at it in disbelief.

[EXPERIMENTING]
He moves his hand.
The flame follows smoothly.
He opens his other hand—
Another flame appears.
MC (V.O., shocked)
“…No chanting… no preparation…”
He clenches both hands—
The flames vanish.

[FLASHBACK – HIS PRACTICE BEFORE]
— Whispering small words.

— Struggling to create sparks.

[BACK TO PRESENT]
MC (V.O.)

He takes a deep breath.
Raises his hand again.
This time—
A small gust of wind swirls around him.
Leaves lift into the air.

His eyes widen.

[SCENE – EVENING – HOME]
The family sits together.
The boy looks thoughtful.
MOTHER
“You’re quiet today. Something on your mind?”
He hesitates… then speaks.
MC
“I can use magic… without saying anything now.”

[PAUSE]
His parents freeze.
FATHER (serious now)
“…Without chanting?”
The boy nods.
---
[FATHER STANDS UP QUICKLY]
FATHER
“Show me.”

[SCENE – OUTSIDE HOUSE]
The boy raises his hand.
No words.
No hesitation.
A flame appears instantly.
Then—
It transforms into a small wind swirl.

[SILENCE]
His mother covers her mouth.
MOTHER (whispering)
“…That’s… incredible…”

[FATHER – STUNNED]
FATHER
“Most mages spend years… just to reduce chanting…”
He looks directly at the boy.
FATHER (serious, proud)
“…You skipped it entirely.”

[MC POV]
MC (V.O.)
“…So this… is talent?”

[SCENE – NIGHT]
The boy lies in bed.
Looking at his hands.
MC (V.O.)

Quick flashes—
— Falling.
— Missing swings.
MC (V.O.)

Flame appears briefly above his finger.
Perfect control.

MC (V.O., determined)

[FINAL SCENE – NEXT MORNING]
He stands in the yard again.
Sword in one hand.
Magic in the other.
He swings—
Still clumsy.
But this time—
He doesn’t stop.

NARRATOR (V.O.)

[FINAL SHOT]
Half of the screen shows his shaky sword stance.
The other half—his glowing magic.
