Chapter 5: The Wedding
##
The kiss changed everything.
Days passed, and Ehan couldn't stop thinking about it. The way her lips felt against his, the way her body melted into him, the way she looked at him with those honey-colored eyes filled with longing and trust.
He wanted more. He wanted all of her.
But his grandfather stood in the way.
### Mr. Khan's Ultimatum
Ehan sat in his grandfather's study, facing the old man across a massive oak desk. Mr. Khan's eyes were sharp, his expression unyielding.
"Send her away, Ehan," Mr. Khan said, his voice cold. "End this charade."
"I can't," Ehan said. "The media is still watching."
"Then buy them off," Mr. Khan snapped. "Do whatever it takes. She is an orphan. She is nobody. She will never be worthy of this family."
Ehan's jaw tightened. "She is the mother of your great-grandchildren's hearts. Aryan, Sarah, Zayn adore her. She loves them like her own."
"Sentiment," Mr. Khan waved dismissively. "Sentiment is weakness. You are the heir to the Khan Empire. You need a wife who brings prestige, power, and connections. Not a girl who brings nothing but poverty and pity."
Ehan stood up, his hands clenched into fists. "Then I'll choose neither."
"What do you mean?"
"I mean," Ehan said, his voice cold and final, "if you cannot accept her, I will not marry anyone. The Khan line ends with me."
Mr. Khan's face went pale. "You wouldn't dare."
"Watch me."
### Ehan's Decision
That evening, Ehan returned to his apartment, his heart heavy with conflict.
Meram was sitting on the balcony, her legs tucked beneath her, staring at the city lights. She looked so small, so fragile, so beautiful.
He walked toward her, his footsteps soft on the marble floor.
She looked up when she saw him, her eyes tired from crying. "Ehan? What's wrong?"
He knelt down beside her, his hands cupping her face. "I've made a decision."
"What decision?" she asked, her voice trembling.
"I'm going to marry you," he said. "For real."
Meram's eyes widened. "What? But your grandfather—"
"I don't care about my grandfather," Ehan said firmly. "I care about you. I care about us. I don't want to live my life without you. You are my match, Meram. My other half. My queen."
Meram's eyes filled with tears. "Ehan..."
"I know it's fast," he continued. "I know I've been cold and rude. I know I don't deserve you. But I'm asking you — will you marry me? For real this time?"
Meram stared at him, her heart overflowing with love. She had dreamed of this moment, but she never thought it would happen.
"Yes," she whispered. "Yes, I'll marry you."
Ehan pulled her into his arms, his lips finding hers in a passionate kiss.
She kissed him back, pouring all her love into it. It was the kiss of a woman who had found her home.
### The Wedding Preparations
The wedding was planned quickly — two weeks. Ehan wanted to marry her before his grandfather could stop it.
Meram's wedding dress was a masterpiece. White silk, embroidered with delicate lace and pearls, with a flowing train that cascaded behind her like a river of moonlight. Her veil was long and ethereal, her jewelry elegant and understated.
Aryan, Sarah, and Zayn were overjoyed.
"Bhabhi is really becoming our Bhabhi!" Aryan shouted, doing a victory dance.
"She's going to be our real Bhabhi!" Sarah squealed, hugging Meram's dress.
"Mama stay forever!" Zayn clapped his little hands.
Fatima helped Meram get ready, her eyes filled with tears of joy. "You look beautiful, Meram. Absolutely beautiful."
"Thank you, Aunty," Meram said softly. "For everything."
"You deserve this, dear. You deserve all the happiness in the world."
### The Wedding Day
The wedding was held at the Khan mansion — a grand event despite the tension. Ehan's extended family filled the hall, their eyes filled with curiosity and judgment.
Meram walked down the aisle on Mr. Khan's arm — the old man had finally relented, if only to avoid disgrace. He walked her slowly, his expression unreadable.
When he reached Ehan, he placed Meram's hand in his. "Take care of her," he said quietly, his voice gruff.
Ehan looked his grandfather in the eyes. "I will. I swear it."
Meram looked up at Ehan and smiled. He was devastatingly handsome in his traditional Pathan wedding attire — a white shalwar kameez with a gold embroidered shawl. His eyes were filled with love, desire, and hope.
The ceremony was beautiful.
They exchanged vows, their voices trembling with emotion.
"I love you," Ehan whispered against her ear as he slipped the ring onto her finger. "I love you more than I ever thought I could love anyone."
Meram's eyes filled with tears. "I love you too, Ehan. I've loved you from the moment you rescued me."
### The Reception
The reception was grand — music, laughter, and dancing. Aryan, Sarah, and Zayn were the stars of the evening, dancing around Meram and Ehan like little guardian angels.
"Bhabhi! Dance with us!" Aryan shouted.
Meram laughed, picking up Zayn and spinning him around. Sarah twirled in her little pink dress, and Aryan attempted an impressive breakdance move that made everyone laugh.
Ehan watched his bride — his wife — and his heart swelled. She looked so happy. She looked so beautiful.
She was his queen.
### The First Night
Ehan carried Meram into their private suite, his arms strong and steady.
He gently laid her on the bed, his body hovering over hers. His eyes searched her face, filled with tenderness and desire.
"Are you scared?" he whispered.
"Not with you," she said softly.
He kissed her, slowly and deeply, taking his time. She kissed him back, her fingers threading through his hair.
He undressed her slowly, worshipping every inch of her skin. Her body was beautiful, soft and supple, and he kissed every part of her.
She gasped when his lips found her neck, her body arching into his. She had never been touched like this, never been cherished like this.
"Let me love you, Meram," he whispered. "Let me show you what you mean to me."
And so he did.
He made love to her with passion, tenderness, and reverence. He showed her what it meant to be cherished, to be desired, to be loved.
Meram experienced a pleasure she had never known — waves of heat and passion that consumed her body. She cried out his name, clinging to him.
"Ehan..."
"I love you," he whispered against her lips. "I love you, my queen. My everything."
### The Aftermath
Afterward, they lay in each other's arms, their bodies tangled together. Meram's head rested on his chest, his arms wrapped around her.
"Are you happy?" he asked softly.
"More than I ever thought I could be," she whispered. "I never imagined I could have this. A family. A home. A love like this."
Ehan kissed her forehead. "You deserve it all, Meram. You deserve the world."
"I already have it," she said. "I have you."
### Mr. Khan's Change of Heart
A few days after the wedding, Mr. Khan came to visit. He stood in the living room, his expression unreadable.
Meram braced herself for more harsh words.
But instead, Mr. Khan walked toward her and placed something in her hands — a gold bracelet, old and beautiful, with delicate carvings.
"This was my mother's," he said, his voice gruff. "I wore it on my wrist when I was a boy. It belonged to the first queen of our family."
Meram stared at the bracelet, tears filling her eyes.
"I was wrong about you, Meram," Mr. Khan said quietly. "You have brought happiness to my grandson. You have brought love to my great-grandchildren. You have brought life back to this family. You are worthy. More than worthy."
Meram sobbed, throwing her arms around him. "Thank you, Grandfather. Thank you."
Mr. Khan hugged her back, awkwardly, his gruff exterior melting. "You will always be a part of this family, Meram. Always."
