**Location:** The Safe House – 2:17 A.M.
Rain pounded against the windows.
Inside the safe house, no one spoke.
Nine people sat around a large wooden table.
Each of them had risked their lives for one another.
Now...
Each of them wondered if someone at the table was a traitor.
Cal slowly looked at every face.
Jason.
Ryan.
Lucas.
Emma.
Sophia.
Ethan.
Mason.
Noah.
Cary.
Finally, he broke the silence.
**Cal:** "Until we know the truth... no one leaves."
Jason frowned.
**Jason:** "You think one of us betrayed the team?"
Cal didn't answer immediately.
Instead, he placed the silver coin on the table.
**Cal:** "Someone knew exactly where we were."
Lucas nodded.
**Lucas:** "They hacked my system before the explosion."
Emma crossed her arms.
**Emma:** "This wasn't luck."
"It was planned."
---
### Black Tower
Damien Black stood in front of a giant digital map of Blackstone City.
Victor entered the room.
**Victor:** "Our spy says they're already turning against each other."
Damien smiled.
"Perfect."
Victor looked confused.
"We could finish them tonight."
Damien slowly shook his head.
"No."
"I don't want Cal dead."
"I want him to lose faith."
Victor remained silent.
Damien looked at the burning warehouse shown on one of the screens.
"A broken heart is easier to destroy than a strong body."
---
### The Safe House
Lucas connected his laptop to a large monitor.
Lines of code filled the screen.
His fingers moved quickly across the keyboard.
Five minutes passed.
Then...
He stopped.
"I found something."
Everyone stood.
Lucas zoomed into a security recording captured a few streets away from the warehouse.
A black SUV appeared on the screen.
"No license plate," Ryan said.
Lucas nodded.
"They removed it."
Emma leaned closer.
"Can you zoom in?"
Lucas enhanced the image.
The driver's face remained hidden.
But the passenger window was slightly open.
A silver ring rested on the passenger's hand.
A black raven engraved into it.
Cal's eyes widened.
"The raven..."
Emma looked at him.
"You've seen it before?"
Cal nodded slowly.
"My father had a file."
"It had the same symbol."
Jason frowned.
"What file?"
Cal looked down.
"I never opened it."
---
### Flashback – Fifteen Years Earlier
A young Cal walked into his father's office.
William Carter quickly closed a thick black folder.
**Young Cal:** "Dad?"
William smiled.
"Come here."
Cal climbed onto his father's lap.
William placed a hand on his shoulder.
"One day you'll inherit everything I built."
"But promise me one thing."
**Young Cal:** "What?"
William looked unusually serious.
"If anything ever happens to me..."
"Find the black file."
"It contains the truth."
Young Cal laughed.
"You watch too many spy movies."
William laughed too...
But there was fear hiding behind his smile.
---
### Present Day
Cal closed his eyes.
"I completely forgot about that file."
Emma stepped forward.
"Where is it now?"
"I don't know."
"The house was taken after my father died."
Sophia spoke for the first time.
"What if it's still there?"
Everyone looked at Cal.
The old Carter house.
Abandoned for ten years.
---
### Black Tower
Olivia Stone entered Damien's office.
She removed her sunglasses.
"They're going back to the Carter house."
Victor smiled.
"So our trap worked."
Olivia hesitated.
"What if they actually find the file?"
Damien walked toward a fireplace.
Without saying a word...
He threw another identical silver coin into the flames.
"The file no longer matters."
Olivia looked surprised.
Damien smiled.
"Because I already know what's inside."
---
### Outside the Safe House
Cary found Cal standing alone under the porch.
Rain fell heavily around them.
She quietly walked beside him.
Neither of them spoke for a while.
Finally...
**Cary:** "You're blaming yourself."
Cal sighed.
"My parents died because of Damien."
"My friends almost died because of me."
Cary gently took his hand.
"No."
"They're alive because of you."
Cal looked at her.
She smiled softly.
"You always carry everyone's pain."
"But you don't have to carry it alone."
Cal gave a small smile.
"I don't deserve you."
Cary laughed.
"Good."
"Because I'm not giving you a choice."
Cal laughed for the first time in days.
She stepped closer.
"Whatever happens..."
"We face it together."
Cal wrapped his arms around her.
"I love you."
Cary rested her head against his chest.
"I love you too."
For a brief moment...
The world felt peaceful.
Then—
Lucas burst through the front door.
"CAL!"
Both of them turned.
"What happened?"
Lucas held up a tablet.
His face had gone pale.
"I found the blueprints of your parents' house."
Cal frowned.
"So?"
Lucas swallowed.
"There wasn't supposed to be a basement."
Everyone gathered around the screen.
The blueprint showed the familiar layout of the Carter home.
Kitchen.
Living room.
Bedrooms.
Garage.
But beneath the house...
Hidden behind a false wall...
Was a secret underground room.
No official records mentioned it.
Emma whispered,
"Your father built a secret bunker."
Jason looked at Cal.
"What do you think is inside?"
Cal stared at the blueprint.
His father's final words echoed in his mind.
*"Find the black file."*
He looked at his team.
"We leave at sunrise."
"No mistakes."
"No second chances."
Far away...
From the rooftop of an abandoned church...
A mysterious figure lowered a pair of binoculars.
He smiled into the darkness.
"They're walking exactly where Damien wants them."
He disappeared into the night.
The hunt had only just begun.
