Ch 5: The sudden hitting off

At first, it didn’t feel real. The next morning came like any other. The world didn’t stop. Nothing looked different.

But something felt wrong.

Someone reached for his phone out of habit.

But No messages from her. That was unusual. She always texted first. Even after arguments. Even after silence.

There was always something. But this time, Nothing.

Someone told she just needed space.

That she would come back. That this wasn’t what it felt like.

But hours passed.

Then a day.

Then another.

And the silence didn’t break. It only grew.

But Only few started noticing things which was before. The absence of her voice in conversations.

The emptiness in places she used to fill without effort. The way everything felt quieter even when it wasn’t.

It was unsettling. Because her presence had never been chaotic & had been constant.

And now it was gone.

“She’ll come back,” someone said casually.

"She loves attention & she comes back every time. Moreover, if she has gone, it's good for your peace, continue how you used to be with us. Moreover, If anyone themselves wants to leave. We can't do anything, Neither you can do anything for her choice. Moreover we didn't know her who she was, So why should we bother about it?"

I laughed at listening their words deep down, how easily people flip out things on One person, like she was never made to feel exclused, not got invited, nor welcomed too & as she left because she wants too. Not because things were made too heavy for her. I can't say were they friends or Enemies in disguise.

But does it matter Now? Cause she No longer here now.

Does she know what & how they speak up about her? Or May be she does knew everything.

Days turned into a week. Then longer.

Still nothing.

And slowly, something began to sink in.

She wasn’t just taking space. She had left.

Not physically disappearing but emotionally stepping away in a way that felt impossible to reach.

That’s when her words started coming back to someone. “I’ll wait.”

Wait for what?

For the first time, someone replayed everything.

Not just the last night.

But all the moments before it.

The things got ignored, dismissed. The things someone chose not to see.

Her questions. Her silence.

And suddenly it all made sense.

The realization hit harder than anything else.

What was this realisation was about now?
