HEART GAMES.

They both sat down on one of the stools in the equipment room silently for some seconds.

"What a surprise". Carson started.

"What?".

"I thought you'd be screaming for help by now, considering the fact that you'd hate to be around me for more than 2 minutes". He added, teasing her with his masculine voice.

"Well it's pointless to scream for help. After a few minutes someone is going to notice were taking to long to get back and come get us". She replied dryly.

"I see... boring".

They were silent again. Carson looked around the room in an attempt to avoid looking at Rose. While she for the first time, looked at him for longer than 2 seconds. He noticed and it made him a bit nervous, but he wasn't complaining.

"Carson I...I don't hate you, okay?". Said rose.

"Really?, doesn't seem that way". He replied sarcastically.

"I'm serious. I've never hated anyone in my whole life. Even rumors aren't enough to make me feel agitated about a person ". Said rose

"Okay then what?. Cause it's pretty obvious that you don't like being around me. Whenever you see me you have this look on your face, like you've seen something annoying, your smile quickly fades away like I'm darkness".

"it's just...pfft--". She burst out laughing. That was the first time he saw her smile, even more laugh in front of him. The way her eyes squinted, and her lips curved up to show her beautiful little teeth. She had pointy canines, he stared enough to notice. Maybe it was because he hardly saw her smile before? But it felt like a new experience. She was already pretty enough when she was quiet, but it was truly a beautiful sight when she smiled.

"I'm... I'm sorry. It's just...is that really how you see it?". She asked still trying to tone down the laughter. "You're funny, you know that?. That line could be put in poetry. We'll name it 'Why do you hate me?'".

In turn Carson laughed a little because of her sarcasm.

"You can't blame me for thinking that now, can you?". He replied looking at her with a soft gaze. In that moment rose noticed that he wasn't being cocky, mischievous jock. He seemed more relaxed.

"I don't hate you, but it doesn't mean I like you either. It's just...I hate the fact that you're obviously pretending to be something you're not. I hate that you decieve people in such a smooth way, it's annoying". She said now playing with a loose thread on her cardigan.

Carson went quiet just staring at Rose. He was shocked that she figured out something he himself didn't realize. His eyes travelled along her body and finally stopped at her lips. He wanted to taste them, those lips that made such a beautiful smile. But he didn't want to ruin the moment. He was about to say something when a knock came on the door.

"Carson! Rose!, are you guys in there?".

"Umm...yeah!"replied rose.

"Sorry, we forgot to tell you guys that the door has issues, we'll get you out now".

"Thanks".

Carson sighed. He was disappointed,he wanted to stay with her a little longer. The door was opened and they both came out. They didn't have any conversations after that till the P.E session was over.
