No one knew the real reason behind her hatred.

And Aarna wasn't the kind of person to forgive easily.

...Chapter 1 First love encounter...

...----------------...

The function was crowded that evening.

Voices filled the house, relatives moved from one room to another, children ran through the hall, and the smell of delicious food floated through the air.

For Arjun, it was just another family function.

He was in **10th standard**, at an age when his biggest worries were school, exams, friends, and the future he had barely started thinking about.

He had no idea that this ordinary family gathering was about to leave him with a memory he would carry for years.

Then he saw her.

**Shasha.**

She was his cousin, studying in **12th standard**. Until that day, he had never really noticed her.

But when his eyes fell on her for the first time, something changed.

She was standing among the relatives, talking and smiling as though she belonged effortlessly in the middle of the crowd.

Arjun simply stared for a moment.

Not because he understood what he was feeling.

He didn't.

He only knew that he couldn't look away.

*"Who is she?"*

The question crossed his mind before he remembered that he already knew her name.

Shasha.

There was something about her that caught his attention—the way she smiled, the confidence in the way she carried herself, and the simple beauty that made her stand out in his eyes.

He quickly looked away when he realized he had been staring.

His heart was beating strangely fast.

*"Why am I feeling like this?"*

He didn't have an answer.

A few minutes later, their eyes met.

Only for a second.

Shasha gave him a small, familiar smile.

Arjun immediately looked down, pretending to be interested in whatever was happening around him.

But that one moment stayed in his mind.

Throughout the function, he found himself looking for her without even realizing it.

Whenever she walked into the room, his eyes followed her.

Whenever she laughed, he noticed.

Whenever someone called her name, he listened.

He didn't know it yet, but something had quietly begun inside his heart.

It wasn't a grand confession.

There were no romantic words.

No promises.

Not even a proper conversation between them.

Just a boy looking at a girl for the first time and feeling something he couldn't explain.

That night, when Arjun returned home, the family function slowly became a distant memory.

But one thing remained.

**Her face.**

He lay on his bed, staring at the ceiling, replaying the moments from that evening.

Her smile.

Their brief eye contact.

The sound of her name.

He smiled to himself.

Maybe it was just admiration.

Maybe it would disappear tomorrow.

Maybe he would forget about it after a few days.

But somewhere deep inside his innocent heart, a tiny feeling had already taken root.

And Arjun had no idea that this tiny feeling...

**would become his first love.**
