Ch 4: Spiderman Kiss

Aarav woke up and  noticed that he held Prajakta's hand for the whole night. He released her hand and kept to her side. He looked at Prajakta sleeping, her hair covered half of her face and tugged her hair behind her ears to see a clear view of her face and smiled absently.

Sheela came to Prajakta's room to wake them up. When Aarav heard the sound of someone coming, he woke up from the bed and went to the washroom.

Sheela saw Prajakta sleeping. "Prajakta, wake up. You have to get ready to go to school"

Prajakta said in a soft voice "Maa, Let me sleep for five more minutes" and turned to the other side.

Aarav came out of the washroom after bath.

Sheela complimented Aarav to Prajakta "Did you see that Aarav woke up early and got ready for school?  You and your brother are lazy from morning."

Prajakta got up from her bed in half sleep and went to the washroom. She mumbled to herself "He slept peacefully by disturbing me. How can I not have morning laziness?"

In dining hall, Varun apologised in front of Sheela "I am sorry Aarav for last night"

Aarav smiled "It's alright"

Prajakta said "Do you know he cried because of you last night? How are you going to compensate for his crying?"

Sheela asked "Did you cry last night Aarav?"

Aarav said "I don't remember auntie"

Sheela looked at Prajakta "He was crying in his sleep"

Sheela caresses Aarav's hair "Don't you feel alone. If you have any problem you can come to me"

After breakfast, Sheela takes them to the school bus. Aarav sits in the window seat and Prajakta sits next to Aarav.

Prajakta held his hand. "You held my hand tightly like this. I can't even sleep peacefully because of you." and removed her hand from his.

Aarav said "I am sorry"

Prajakta smiled "No problem. I am not angry at you."

Few days passed, Aarav and Prajakta got along well with each other while Varun tried to accept him as one of his family members.

At home in Prajakta's room, Aarav and Prajakta were sitting on the bed and watching Spiderman movies on the laptop. When Peter Parker and Mary Jane started kissing upside down in part 1 of the movie, Prajakta looked at the kiss scene and asked "Aarav, how does it feel to be kissed by someone like that?" 

Aarav awkwardly avoids answering her question "I have never tried. So, I don't know"

Prajakta looked at Aarav "Why don't we try it now?"

Aarav didn't expect her question of trying, surprisingly looked at Prajakta and tried to change the topic of kissing "Did you finish your math homework?"

Prajakta gets closer to Aarav. "I will do it tonight. Can I kiss you Aarav?"

Aarav flicks her forehead "Only people who love each other should be kissed? You can't kiss anyone who you don't love. Moreover you are an 8 year old kid. You are prohibited from watching the kiss scene."

Prajakta rubbed her forehead with her palm and said in a disappointed voice "I am really curious about it and you are taking lessons. Don't forget you too same 8 year old"

"Prajakta, Did you hear your mother is calling me? I will go downstairs to check your mom" and Aarav left her room and stood against the wall outside her room and he kept his hand on his heart to feel the heart is pounding crazily.

Prajakta scratches her head  "I didn't hear anything" and continues to watch the movie alone without Aarav.
