Chapter 2: The Prince

3rd Person POV

*At the Princes' Study Room

"Your Majesty, the carriage is ready" the Butler says

The prince just nod and stands up. Obviously not caring about anything.

"Your Majesty, for your safety we can ask them to deliver the products here at the palace. Now that someone is planning to attack you anytime. Isn't it too dangerous for you to come at public places?" the Butler suggested.

"Let's disguise" the prince coldly answered.

"Yes your majesty" respectfully the butler responded.

As they walk through the palace hallway, most of the servants bow their heads and greets the prince.

"Servants, open the closet and assist His Majesty to choose a disguise" as the butler commands the servants.

The servants obediently follow the butler.

After a minute, the servants came out. Only the prince left alone at the walk-in closet.

The butler next entered and saw the princes' disguise. The prince wears' a simple towns man clothing but looked like a noble who instantly became poor.

He disguised but still look like a lonely prince - Butlers' thoughts

He really needs a wife right now - Butlers' thoughts.

"We're ready Your Majesty" the butler informed.

The prince ignored and headed out to the door. Leaving the butler behind.

When they're near the palace door, the princess approached them. Jumping in joy, expecting something. The prince and also the butler stopped.

"Brother, are you going to town? Can I come too? I wanna see the people doing their works and also the kids like me who's playing at the backyard of their houses-" paused by prince.

"No, it's dangerous" the prince finished and headed out, completely ignored the teary-eyed princess.

Poor princess, I hope I can do anything to make her smile one day - Butlers' thoughts.

This cold bastard how dare he be so rude to his sister?! No wonder, he's not qualified as a father. HE WOULD JUST IGNORE EVERYTHING! - Butlers' calm outside but had a raging thoughts inside.

When they reach the carriage, the butler instructed the coachman to stop the carriage 3 km away the towns market.

The whole ride was quite. Not minding the individuals' business.

As the carriage stop, the prince first took off then search for the surroundings. Searching for any threats near him.

"You don't have to worry anything Your Majesty, the area is fully secured with our palace guards." the butler tells.

Then the prince began to walk, heading to the town's market. With his disguise, he perfectly blended to the town's men.

"This way your Majesty" the butler gestured.

The prince didn't follow the butler, instead he look around and observed how people move and work everyday just to live.

"Let's take our tour" said the prince, which the butler obediently come after.

As they stroll around the place, they can see a lots of people selling their goods and artifacts. Men holding some heavy sacks of grains and ladies choosing some shiny jewelries.

"Your Majesty, would you like to buy something" asked the butler.

The prince didn't reply and just continue to walk.

What should I expect? He's mute - Butlers' thoughts.

As they walk, crossing at the river's bridge they saw a group of people circling.

"YOU WOMAN! HOW DARE YOU RUN AWAY FROM ME?! THIS IS THE LAST TIME I WARNED YOU ABOUT YOUR BILLS AND 'TILL NOW YOU'RE NOT PAYING EVEN IN A SINGLE CENTS?! LET'S - " furious middle aged woman shouted but she was paused by a woman who had a long-totally distorted hair.

"Look woman, I don't have any money left okay? I can't pay you for now, so please leave me alone " calmly said the woman who had a distorted long wavy hair.

"YOU BRUTE! HOW CAN YOU SAY THAT ON MY FACE?! PAY ME OR ELSE - " the middle aged woman was paused.

"Pay you or what? You're gonna send your husband in my store and wreck everything? Nah~ you're husband won't come back" she carelessly uttered.

The woman's opponent was surprised and made her stop. She looked at the young lady with nervous and quivering eyes.

"W- what do you m-mean about m-my husband?" said the middle-aged woman completely tensed.

The young lady stood still. As she came closer, she crossed her arms and blew a deep breath. Showing how pitiful her opponent is.

"I don't wanna say this but your husband doesn't love you anymore." because I caught him cheating. Alex doesn't want to hurt the woman's feeling so she just told her that her husband no longer loved her.

With that she walked away living the woman dumbfounded.

I still have to pay her. It's my debt after all. - Alex thought.

While she's walking away from the crowd, she saw a man standing at the river's bridge staring at her. She can't clearly see the face but it is obvious that he's staring at her.

"I can't clearly saw him but I can see that he's handsome." she twitched as her friend surprisingly talked on her side.

"You almost give me an heart attack." as her hand gestured at her chest.

"How can you have an heart attack? Aren't you aware that you don't have a heart?" Zephyr sarcasm.

"Says the one who swindled a poor little child" Alex fired back.

"Don't counterpart, you obviously spit that words to that hopeless woman without even knowing what would she feel." Zephyr stated.

Alex just rolled her eyes and took a glance at the man who's staring at her earlier.

The man are no longer there. She sighed and walk away with her bubbly scam friend Zephyr.

The prince caught the glances of the young lady earlier. Even in far away he can see that she had a beauty that a man can beg just to be loved by her.

She's a beauty but definitely not my type - the prince thought.

"Let's go." the prince informed his butler.

They leave the place and proceeded to the store they actually want to visit.

Who is that lady that makes the cold bastard prince stared at her? - the butler thought.
