Chapter 1 —Being Strong Makes it Easy

Devilaine, the young heir of the Luce family. The only daughter of Evilaine and Levi Luce. The most precious treasure in the house. She is 17-years-old and is in her senior year of high school. Cool and charming but loses her cool whenever she meets her rival.

Mikael Daniels, the so-called rival. The second young master of the Daniels. Will be the one inheriting his family’s business since his brother is sickly. A good-looking young man. Sultry and enigmatic. Pretending to look normal in front of his rival whenever he meets her.

“Mikael! I challenge you!”

As they entered the same school, Devilaine will find every opportunity to challenge Mikael whether it was academics or sports. However, she seemed to have the "second rank syndrome".

She cannot defeat Mikael!

Mikael’s name lightened while her name darkened.

For a moment, Devilaine’s eyes loses its color. At first she cannot accept what happened. However, she knew he won the game fair and square.

There was bitterness at the tip of her tongue. At the end she was not as good as him.

Seeing him approaching, Devilaine gave Mikael a cool smile saying,

“Congratulations, you finally won against me.”

“You don’t seem happy.” He voice out.

Devilaine gave him a blank look and shrugged. “Why would I be happy? Losing to you is akin to getting my pride being trampled on. However, don’t be so cocky. This is not the end.”

“Not the end of you losing to me?” Mikael lightly chuckled.

It was a seductive laugh.

And Devilaine respond with a roll of her eyes before bidding farewell leaving the court with a straight back.

‘Mikael, you will stop being my rival once I defeated you!’

All this happened before summer. Devilaine was very grateful that after the match she won’t be able to see Mikael again for the time being. She might bit him to death just to waste his time.

She had no reason biting him its just that the man won't push her away.

He probably doesn't want to waste his time on her so he waste her time instead!

In the present day, she was currently face to face with her computer playing games called ALL OUT HERO. An MMORPG that is currently popular in the gaming world.

The tapping sound of the keyboard and the clicking of the mouse created a rhythmic sound in the room.

Devilaine had a serious face on. Her black long messy hair falls down on her shoulders. Bright light flashing reflecting from her specs.

“Devil, you in a bad mood? Your attack seem to be so aggressive today. It's good though since we cleared the area more quickly." A lazy voice sounded on her headphone.

"I need to level up. Being strong makes it easy."

"Oho? Is there another reason though? I can feel it in my skin!" The other girl spoke. A smirk lifted the corner of her lips.

"It's not always about him, Davreka. I'm doing this since I don't want to lose to others." Devillain responded back.

Being strong makes it easy to traverse the top!
