A life of a normie is most predictably the boring life but the things in this world won’t go as easy as one thinks.

A Simple Life

I don’t know what happened but it was as if I was not there. I just spaced out. It took me some time to regain my consciousness, though I was out only for few seconds but it felt me like I stood there for half an hour. Well I got hold of myself and then I realised that she was …………... 😓 that she was a stranger.

Yes, she was total stranger. I never met someone like her as far as I remember not to say that she was a girl. But she was waving her hand so hard as if she knows me, well whatever I walk towards her, thinking that maybe I could recall her. She stops me few steps before and ask me ‘aren’t you a regular? Sorry, I haven’t seen you lately.’

Here I was still confused who is she, but her frank behaviour caught me off guard I replied ‘No I am not’. She was just about to say something that the receptionist called my name and I left her just replying ‘sorry’ in return of her upcoming sentence. While entering in the doctor’s cabin I thought only one thing ‘what a weirdo she was’.

I knew that this was first and hopefully last time that I met her. I took my reports which were absolutely normal as usual and return back to home. To be honest I never understand that, my illness is since sixth grade and first of all it took a year to those incompetent doctors to direct me towards proper cure and since then only, I have been taking those shit-like pills and having similar reports. It’s almost Five years now and then also I have to visit hospital approx. every alternate month repeating similar tests every time. I mean is there any need of this? In fact, the doctors clearly mention that I have to take pills whole life without break of a day. Really, I totally have feeling that “My life sucks”.

As these thoughts were running wild in my mind, I already found myself standing at the gate of dine.

Mom, Miya and Kagu all were at dine preparing for the afternooon rush as it was the time when dine gets full by office workers. After taking shower I also join them to lend hand, finally we managed the rush as always then we also had lunch. I know that Miya and Kagu were exhausted so I let them free and thanked them for their help. As they left dine, I also hit the bed for at least two hours before preparations for the evening rush not to mention that I was exhausted too. As soon as I dive in the depth of world of hibernation, I felt like someone was sitting beside me whispering something. I couldn’t see who it was as I was still half sleep but I felt I know this person. I have heard this voice somewhere, why I am not able to recognize this voice. My eyes open and I jump of the bed, there was no one around I took glimpse at the clock it was already Seven, I rushed out of my room and found mom was in kitchen preparing meal for our first customer, she gazed me with a smile on her face asking ‘did you get a nice nap’. It pangs my heart, all of my emotions and love for her was running at their best pace to burst out from my mouth and I said ‘yes’. Nothing else was able to come out.

It was a usual day full of customers, the breeze was gentle and the weather was at its optimum setting. The time was on the verge of evening rush and was going to be busy soon so, we were preparing for opening dine. Soon the door bell rung and a girl enter as our first costumer. I mentioned her as girl because I couldn’t find a single word that could possibly describes her. She seems to be of my age wearing a blood red sleeveless dress which covers her whole body from shoulder to her toe. A sea blue colour sandal with heels. Her brown hair was tide just like it was red fox tail curled around her right shoulder. Just above her left ear a pretty butterfly pin. Pink nail polish on her right hand nails, lips were shining as if it was a Spinel, eyes like no one can measure its depth as if any one who sees it will fall in a deep blue ocean and will be gulp by it. I never imagined that someone……….

Someone this beautiful ever exists in this world.

I attend her and ask ‘how many guests are you Mam’ she replied ‘two’ I gave her a corner seat of two. Well to be honest I was sure that she was waiting for her boyfriend or so. That’s why; there was no option for concerning myself. Yes I was mesmerised by her beauty. Now other customers also started coming so I didn’t have much time to think about anything. Soon enough it was quarter to Twelve. I was in kitchen preparing for morning breakfast that I heard mom talking to someone. Yes, she was still sitting alone there, no one came. I don’t know what they were talking although I tried my best to eavesdrop but couldn’t. Mom suddenly called me out and asked me to walk her home. Yes! She asked me to walk her home, I don’t know what it was, but I cannot put that feeling in text because I myself was not sure what it was.

There was a complete silence I couldn’t hear any sound of bug or anyone. The only thing I could here were the footsteps, making a beautiful melody in the silence of night. She was walking behind me; her head was down as if she was depressed about something. Her hair covered her forehead; half of her face was submerged in darkness. I wanted to say her that ‘please, be cheerful’ but I could see near future where her face is mocking me so it was best for me to be silent as well. The other thing I want to ask was “how far her home was!”Man I have been walking at least for Forty minutes, not that I didn’t like it but it was very difficult to walk with someone for this long without uttering a single word. As I was about to break the silence she whispers ‘Thank you very much now I can go on my own.’

Few seconds later I replied ‘My pleasure! Please visit again’.

After dropping her I ran as fast as I could because it was already twenty minutes past One, and mom was waiting for me. With this, today’s hassle end it seems like such a long day it was, though it was…

Bah…

Morning everyone, it’s almost past 8 but I’m still in bed. Going to school? Nope, today is Sunday, the loveliest day of the week and with a bright sunny morning it’s like getting discount on toilet rolls. Uhh! What am I thinking of. Mom is already in dining, few of our regulars are also there. Mom gave me a cup of coffee, there was a vacant seat beside one of the customer so I sit there. ‘Yeah, mom’s coffee is best. Okay it’s time to work, as I left the seat and was walking towards the counter that I heard a greeting I also replied Good morning and as I turned I saw the same girl sitting next to the vacant seat, thanking me for yesterday with a small smile on her face. It was a shock that I have been sitting beside her and I didn’t notice. It was the start for her to become our regular, soon enough she met with Miya and Kagu and before I notice she had already became a part of our group and my feelings for her start taking shape. But still I never knew a single thing about her, except her name ‘Kazuto Kaori’ yes, that was her name.

And this was the only thing that I know about her. Who is she, from where, what her parents do? Nothing and this thing always bothers me. And the thing that disturbs me most was ‘For whom she was waiting that day?’ Man, such a mysterious girl she is. Our days past and she came almost every day, we all gather together and talk all sorts of things and sometimes make trips to different cities also.

But suddenly she stops coming, a week passed, two, three, a month passed but she never showed up. We all were worried for her cause Miya said she was not picking up her mobile phone also to be honest I was sad more than worried. And neither of us knows her home too, although I know the area where I left her that night so we all planned to search for her house with the label of Kazuto. But we never found one ‘she might live in different area’ I thought. I also searched for her in areas around that place alone and found nothing. Like this another month also passes and she also didn’t appear yet.

I have already lost hope that she will ever come again. Next day I have to visit hospital for my routine Check-up so I called Miya and Kagu to help mom at dine. As I entered the hospital, I noticed that weirdo again talking to nurse beside a room door. I didn’t want her to mess with me again so I walk fast enough so that I could avoid her attention and escape from her sight area. But my luck can’t be any better than this, she noticed me and shouted ‘hey you Mr. sorry boy, hey ….’ Mr. Sorry🙉🙉🙉

I didn’t react and keep walking. Then suddenly a person grab’s my shoulder; as I turned there was a man pointing his fingers toward that weirdo saying ‘hey buddy she is calling for you’ 😓oh, thank you.

She come and stands in front of me. “Hey long time no see”, “yes”, “So, again here for some tests?”, “ahmm, sorry but I have to go for test”, “Ya sure, Later”

‘I hope never! But I found something different in her compared to last time I talk to her.’ Who cares, again same reports, same prescription which are coming same from several years.

Back to home greeting Miya and Kagu for their hard work, mom read my reports as I was taking shower. Kagu and Miya had already left dine; today the rush was also not that big and we were closing dine for evening. Because it was my birthday today, I didn’t know this till evening until Kagu and Miya came with a cake in my room when I was taking nap. It was a real surprise for me and we enjoyed the whole evening, they also spent night at my place only. We played cards together till twelve and then randomly Miya threw the discussions of Kaori…..

Suddenly there was silence in the room, breaking the silence Kagu said “it’s too late now, let’s hit the bed”. Soon the lights were off but neither of us could sleep, not so easily. In no time the sun rise, Miya and Kagu walked home as we also had to attend the school.

As I step out of my house for school a beautiful melody strung my ears, it was the sound of ‘Melodica….’, but where was it coming from? Who is playing it in this early morning? I slowly try to move in the direction of the sound and found a blonde foreign guy standing beside the slide in the park and playing it. By looking at him I think he was an Italian. Now once my curiosity rests I didn’t interrupt in his instrument playing and continued on my way to school.

I told Miya about him and she also want to hear his playing. Regular classes take place and today were our lab periods of computer, physical and science. Soon I was back to home, as I was keeping my bag and was entering in my room mom shouted from the kitchen: one of your friend is waiting for you. My friend? I just came from school, and there is no way that those two would be here so soon, so who?

As I entered in the dine, saw…… Kaoriiii?, but why… how ….when…..and blonde guy was sitting beside her🤯🤯🤯. Without having a second thought I asked her that where she was for so long? “On a vacation in L.A”.
