CHAPTER 1

What a windy day is it

I'm now heading to school, bag in my back, eyes in the front, and lips smiling like crazy. Do you want to know why? Because summer break is now up.

As I enter the gate of the school where my highschool days becomes hell, the wind blows my hair that gives me shivers down my spine.

I take a deep breath and fix my jacket, I looked around and saw a man looking back at me. I looked everywhere to look if its just someone in my back who's what he's looking at but it is literally me. I just shook my head and headed to the room where my class is.

"Suzette, early bird again huh?" the voice of my bestfriend, Ash, welcomes me with a big smile in her face.

"Nana will scold me if not" I laughed while arranging my things for the class.

I became friends with Ash when I was still in Elementary days, she's the Miss Perfect while I'm just the girl that everyone envies of because of my parents status. Its a rainy day that day when I hid in the library to cry so hard. As we all know..........family problems. I remembered how she approached me that day.

"Here take this."

"If you want to cry, just cry, even others laugh at you, when they experienced it, they will understand you too."

I remembered how her smile affects me. How her touch makes me feel safe. How her hug makes me home that I've never felt from my mother or father.

"Is Mr. Simons late again?"

"A 100 percent, I bet." She wink at me that made me laugh. She's always like this, doing silly things before she concentrate on reading some of her books, of course, romance.

A couple of boring hours has passed but no figure of Mr. Simons appeared in the door of the room.

"Your bet got so far, I expected that late that you're saying is just like 30 minutes but it ends up a couple of hours huh?" I looked at Ash that is just looking in the window. Looking at it so serious.

I tapped her shoulders and talked behind her ears, "Boo!"

"Hey, you scared me like hell. Silly."

"Your the one who's silly looking at the window like you saw a ghost." I laughed but as I didn't expect, she became more serious.

"Hey, Ash, what's the problem? I'm just joking around."

"Nothing, just my mind explored and just lose it, ha ha ha ha"

But I know, she's hiding something to me. I'm about to ask her about it when a woman comes in front of the room and announced that Mr. Simons aren't teaching for us for today. As I expected, my classmates cheered joyfully, thinking about what they will do for the last 60 minutes.

I'm in the cafeteria with Ash, the idiot one who's just looking in a far far place that I don't know.

"What's happening to you Ash? I'm worried, you look like an idiot all day."

She looked at me with eyes that is full of fear, "N-no, its n-nothing, my head just hurt a bit."

"You should tell me earlier, let's go to the clinic so th—"

She stopped me and talk with assurance, "I'm okay, its getting better so don't worry." Then she smiled.

"Ok-okay, if thats what you want."

We continue eating with silence filled the air. Even though I know that many people are in the cafeteria too. Its like its just the to of us, and of course, the atmosphere that is filled with silence.

I sometimes turn my gaze to her but I can't sense a little thing, just her eyes that is full of questions. When she notice me, she will just turn her gaze and smile. That's it.

I'm now home, but doesn't feel like. I'm about to take a shower when Nana comes up with her hands that is full of veins because of working carrying a bowl of soup.

"I just make some if you want to eat it up." She smiled while putting the bowl in the table beside my clean bed.

"Thank you Nana, I don't want anything else, you can go out now."

She nods before she close the door carefully.

I hop in the bed and closed my eyes thinking about Ash, thinking about what she's thinking that made her like that, thinking about what she saw that made her attitude like that all day.

Don't tell me she really saw a ghost?

"Ahhh."

I screamed because of what I'm thinking, "Its not true right? I'm just overthinking." I cover my face with a comforter and tried to sleep but failed.

I just got up and about to take a shower to freshen up my mind when I remembered the soup that Nana bring to me. You really know what I want huh?

I ate it up, before I go to the bathroom to get a shower.

"Suzette! Come down now! We're going to eat dinner!" The voice of one of our maid yells infront of the bathroom door while I'm combing my hair.

"Coming!"

I'm about to go out when I saw a shadow outside my window. It made me curious and peek at the window.

There I saw a man in a hoodie just like the one who I saw in the school. Maybe one of the rivals in business of my parents. Nevermind.

Its natural to me, especially that I know that its because of my fvcking parents who I think who doesn't know I exist in their life.

But this man who's now looking but at me, gives me chill. I can't see his face clearly especially that he has a mask in his mouth.

I just shook my head and didn't care about what I saw.

What I really must think is that why Ash's attitude like that?
