Episode 3 The evil doctor

In my dreams I was dying and when I was about to succomb to the cold my body felt warm and cozy, but I wasn’t able to move or open my eyes until now. I wake up with the sound of his soothing voice telling me where I am. I open my eyes to see the doctor that saved my life and what I see is nothing that my eyes were prepared to see. A white and clean room that looked like a surgical room and a lab in the same space. The doctor was wearing all white, a full face mask that covered his eyes. I could only see his black shiny hair and part of his neck.

“ Miss White, I understand that you are very tired and possibly starving. Although your health is not in risk I would like you to stay here for a few hours at least. I need to run some more tests. I will also have a meal for you and, your clothes will be ready soon. They are being washed and desinfected. As soon as you feel better, you can go on your way.”

“ I can’t stay here doctor. I need to see my family.” I plea.

“ I am sorry Ms. White, but there is a snow storm in the mountain and we have to wait until the weather is clear to go on the road. Also, you are in no condition to leave this facility. From my experience tomorrow will be better. I promise we will get you home.”He said as he turns and walks away carefully to the door. I lift up my covers to check the place out. Maybe I will find a phone that I can use without him knowing. As I uncover my body I realize that I am not wearing anything underneath those warm blankets and before I know his talk and masculine figure walks back in the room.

“Doctor, who removed my clothes?” I ask irritated. “who allowed you to touch my body?” I demand furious.

“Miss White, First, I am a medical doctor and I found you in the road freezing to death. Your clothes were soaked and soiled and there was also blood on them. Second, am very well versed in the female anatomy. There is nothing that you have that I have not seen.” He said boldly and turned to his notes.

“Excuse me, we are talking about my body here. I usually don’t allow men touching my body and much less strangers and without consent.” I say furious.

“Well, madam as a doctor I took an oath to never let anyone die without doing all that I can to save them. In order to save you, I had to remove your clothes. And no, not all men are evil bastards. In fact there is a lot of us that are even running away from women nowadays. Not that we don’t like you. We like you very much but this blame it on men and believe all women sh!t is getting old. And what the hell where you doing in the middle of this god forsaken place, hurt and alone?”

“None of your business. I simply got lost.” I say sadly

“Darling, cut the bull sh!t! No one simple gets lost here like that. For your information, almost no one comes to this community unannounced. Only the cabin owners and they usually stay out of this place during winter time. I know that because I have been living here for the last 4 years. I am acquainted with all my very distant neighbors and they are not around as we speak. Any time someone comes here during the winter we get informed by the neighborhood app. Now, I would very much appreciate if you please explain how you ended up behind the bushes of my property?” He ordered.

“I don’t want to talk about it.” I mumble.

“ Oh but you will, unless you want me to call the police.” He sat on his white leather chair and folded his arms. “Look Miss, these types of occurrences don’t just happen around here. The folks that own canis and other properties nearby try to keep it safe for all of us. The sky resort is open, but its miles away from here and they keep every one inside during winter storms. So, I suggest that you spit out exactly what happened and tell me who is the douche who violate you and left you to die.”

His words hit me like a rock. Could it possibly be true that my beloved Teegan left me here to die? But why would he do that? I am in shock. I understand that he behaved like a jerk during our wedding and that he acted like a barbarian last night. But he didn’t force me. I let him consummate our marriage. I know that he was short and impatient, but I am sure when he gets back to his senses he will give me a good explanation for his rude behavior.

“If you don’t tell me, you will have to tell the police.” He threatens. Still seating on his chair.

“I don’t remember.” I lie to him.

“Ok, you don’t remember, then you will stay here until your memory comes back.” He boldly announces. “ I cannot let you go knowing that there is a criminal out there that will get you as soon as he sees you again and, as you said you don’t remember what happened, how in the world is the police supposed to protect you against him?” He asks loudly. “ at least you are safe here so far.” He completes as he stands up and goes somewhere. He has a very strong back. His broad shoulders and his perfectly round buttocks complete the pack and the way he walks, is very imposing. I would not pick a fight with him.

Staying here with this doctor at least for a while sounds like a much safe and better idea than going back to that cabin. There is nothing there for me. No Teegan, no food, no phones, no nothing. I can probably call him from here and let him know that I am ok and ask him to come pick me up. This was this doctor will also know that there is no criminal after me, but for a while I will keep quiet. I don’t want my parents to worry about me and start accusing Teegan of things that I am sure are just a huge misunderstanding.

“ I got your dinner. Very balanced meal to help your body recuperate and heal.” He walks still masked and holding a tray full of food placing it on a table in front of me. There’s is potato and bacon soup, rolls, hot chocolate, electrolytes in this drink, fruits and a wonderful smoothie.” He walks to one of the closets and brings a pair of hospital clothing. The kind that look like pajamas.

“ please put these on. I have no intention of allowing you to feel uncomfortable around me anymore. There is a bathroom of there and you are more than welcome to use it.” He says pointing to it.

I get changed and start eating that amazing dinner. My gosh! I am starving.

“Can I use your phone to call my family?” I ask with my mouth full.

“ The storm from last week harmed the phone lines. You can use my cell phone if you want to. Sometimes the signal gets very weak. We use the radio for emergencies.” He explained. “ if you would like I can show you some parts of this facility and as soon as you remember what happened, we will call the police so they can take you from there. Even if we call them today, they will not able to do much until tomorrow.”

This guy will not give up until he gets me to tell what happened between me and Teegan. But. Screw him, I will call my dad and he will pick me up. But then the press will know and everyone will know that I wad left by my husband right after our first night. I cannot put my family through this embarrassing situation until I hear from Teegan what really happened.

There is a tv in that room over there of you would like to watch, and Wi-Fi available. Just let me know what you need.” He walks away again and I am left with my thoughts.

“ Miss White, the guest bedroom will be prepared for you shortly.” Said a female voice coming from nowhere. My heart almost jumped out of my mouth.

“ And who are you?” I ask in disbelief.

“My name is Genious. I am doctor Joshua Walker’s Artificial Intelligence companion.” The voice said naturally.

“Who is Dr. Joshua Walker?” I pretended not to know who he is. Maybe the machine will give more information on that mysterious and reclusive man.
