Episode 5 Poker face

My body is shaking from head to toes as I decide to check the local news app. One of the headlines says:

“LOCAL NEWLYWEDDED BRIDE RUNS AWAY FROM HER LOVING HUSBAND”

Below there is a video of Teegan telling the reporter that after our amazing first night. He left the cabin to get some food and other supplies early in the morning. When he came back before noon, I had took my belongings and ran away without saying a word to him. He pretended to sob and to be desperate with my absence. What an Oscar winning worthy performance. That miserable man left me in the cabin at 10:00PM not early morning. I was still in the cabin by noon. None of his details added up at all. He has got to be kidding me. Our first night was a nightmare for me and from the anger on his face, he didn’t like that either and now he is flat out lying on live tv and accusing me of being a scum bag run away bride. Why did he do that to me? I ask my self full of anger. I need to find out. But before I need to contact my poor parents and let them know that I am ok. I immediately run put out if the room and go look for the doctor in his lab. For my surprise he is not there.

“Genius where is the doctor?” I ask in a hurry.

“He must be home.” She says.

“This is his home.” I tell her.

“No Miss, his home is several stores below the sea level.” She informs me.

“How can I tell him that I need to talk to him immediately. Please!” As I ple for her help Genius doesn’t disappoint and calls her maker who picks up right way.

“Hi gorgeous!” Said a very familiar and delicious masculine voice.

“Hi Doctor, Miss White is and wishes to talk to you ASAP.”

“Hello Miss White, how can I help you?” The delicious voice asked me.

“I. I need to talk to you and I also want to apologize for my ungrateful behavior. You saved my life and I yelled at you a few times. Thank you for saving me.”

Silence in the other side of the call.

“Go on.” He continues amused.

“I need your help. Please. I promise you that when you get here I will tell you everything.”

“And...?” He asks playfully.

“What else do you want from me? I have already said thank you. Twice and told you that I will tell you everything. And you’re still not happy.”

“I am a very happy man Miss white, I just think that I deserve something very delicious from you as a token of appreciation for saving your life...huh?” He is provoking me.

“You pig. If you think I am going to do naughty things...”

“A Brazilian pudim Miss White. That is all I want from you. You can keep your other delicious goodies for another man. The only delicious goodies I want from you is that dessert and that’s all.” His tone is serious this time. “ all the ingredients for the pudin will be in the kitchen at the end of the hall to the right. Please just don’t burn down my lab.” He says walking toward me.

“How could you make it here so fast?” I ask.

“Supersonic elevator.” He says casually. “Now, tell me what you got.” He asks seating down six feet across from my chair. His shiny black hair is wet and falls on his dark lenses eye glasses. His black and full eyebrows are very well groomed. The rest of his face is covered with a white breathable mask. He crosses his long legs and props his body towards me.

“Alright. I got married to the man that I thought was the love of my life two days ago. During the wedding ceremony and the reception he looked and acted like a completely different person.” He seems to be very intrigued with the narration of my personal drama as he uncrosses his legs and manspreds on his chair. The way his ragged jeans fits his legs are distracting me and I think he has just noticed that because he crosses his legs to the other side.

“He had promised to surprise me with a dreamy Paris honeymoon. Instead, he drove me to an isolated cabin about 10 miles away from here. On our first night he behaved like a barbarian and... that explains the blood that you saw on my pants and underwear and also the inflammation in my...”

“Excuse me Miss, but he had no mercy on you. Your vaginal canal needs a least a weak to heal. He is an animal. My apologies, but I hate what he did to you. Anyway go on...” I can sense the fury in his words.

“After he was done with he left alone in the cabin. It was about 10:00 PM. I cried myself to sleep and got up in the same position he had left me..There was no phone, no food, no drinking water in the cabin. I washed myself quickly with freezing cold water and decided to call for help. I walked many miles towards your some other cabins in hopes to get help, but I got cought in the storm.” I cry profusely now. “If it wasn’t for you I would have died there and nobody would have known what has happened to me.” I stop crying for a while and continue “well, now he went to the press and told everyone that I was that one who ran away from him.”

“How can help you solve this canandrum?” He asks

“I want you to call my dad and tell him what your know. Because my dad is embarrassed and he is under the impression that I am the one who is faulted.”

“Miss, your dad knows you and he also knows your husband. If I were you, I would call your father personally and tell him the truth. If you need more time away, you are more than welcome to stay here with us. Genius likes you.” He says expecting me to follow his directions.

“Yes, I do.”

“Ok, I will call him now. Can you stay with me?” I plea with him.

“Of course.” He says getting close to me. So close that I can smell his cologne. It’s so familiar and so delicious that immediately I am envolves with this magnificent peace.

“Hello dad, this is me. I am safe and sound daddy!” I cry when I hear my father’s voice on the other side of the phone. I can tell that he is crying as well.

“Dad, listen honey. Don’t believe what Teegan is saying. He is lying dad. He was the one who left me in the cabin alone.”

“ baby I know you my child. You are someone to sacrifice yourself so much for the benefit of others. Where are your baby girl? Tell me and I will pick you up.”

“Excuse me, Mr White this doctor Walker. I am the one who found your daughter. She is doing well, but she needs to rest and to follow a safety protocol. I can explain more to you later. Please call me whenever you can. I will text my number and I will keep in contact with you daily until she is safe to leave. I will explain all to you when we are able to talk. For now, just rest azure that your daughter is very well taken care of. You can search me online and you can also go talk to my parents who live in town. Now, pay close attention to what I am about to tell you Mr. White. Do not let anyone else know about this. It is very important that we keep Crystal’s location in secret so we can can gather more information on her husband and have him pay for what he did to her.

My dad agreed with the doctor’ terms and we hang up.

“Thank you for doing this for me doctor.” I say choking up on my own words.

“No need to thank me. Thank Love. She was the one who found you.” He stood up and started walking out until he stopped and turned to me. “There is some food in the fridge for you and I need to give you medicine. Please wait here. I will be right back.”

After the doctor gives my meds I head to the kitchen to start cooking his dessert. I have no idea what kind of pudin he is talking about, but I will figure out. I owe my lifw to this man and the only thing he asks me for it is that. From now on, I will be his most loyal friend.
