Episode 4

Sunday

beep, beep, beep!, Beep, Beep, Beep!, BEEP!, BEEP!, BEEP!!!

Freya grabs the alarm and glares at it hoping the alarm can sense her annoyance. But snaps out of her grumpiness when she sees the time. Freya gets up rubbing her face.

Freya "Alright, alright I'm getting up." Freya rolls off of the bed and gets ready.

Standing at the door with bags, double checking her stuff. " Okay that should be everything." Leaving the apartment yawning and sluggish. " Geez 6:30am is too early." Finally leaving Freya heads to the clinic. " I hope they like what I got them."

9:45am arriving at the clinic Freya hands out coffee and food to the nurses and doctors that worked the overnight. After settling at the front and getting updates Freya heads to the room the Blue children are in. (The nurse said they were fine and Steven is doing very well and should be okay by tomorrow. And Sarah slept a lot it seems. That's good she got rest.)

Freya " They must be hungry lets give them their breakfast."

Freya knocks on the door and walks in hearing the Blue children giggling. Walking up to the children Freya peaks at what they are doing. Smiling Freya sees them drawing silly creatures, the kids not even noticing that Freya is there. Softly clearing her throat the children quickly turn around surprised.

Sarah who quickly grabbed her brother when surprised relaxes when she sees it's Freya  " Freya you scared us."

Freya " I'm sorry I didn't mean to. I did knock before I came in." Freya smiles as she see Sarah holding Steven. " I like your drawings. They look fun but I need you two to eat so let straighten up and have some breakfast."

Together " Yes ma'am." The children straighten up and go to wash their hands.

( Wow they know their manners. That's cute.) Freya sets up the little table with the food she brought. Together all three have breakfast together and talk enjoying themselves.

After they eat and cleanup Freya hands them the clothes she brought.

Freya " Okay Sarah, Steven I got you some things. I'll send nurse Mimi to help you with the shower and for today Steven you'll have a sponge bath. Mimi will also help you with that. I gotta go finish my morning duties and I'll be back."

Both smiling " Okay."

Sarah " We'll see you later Freya."

Freya smiles and leaves the room. Freya lets nurse Mimi know about the Blue children and then goes to her office.

Plopping down and slowly enjoying her latte. ( Man very busy morning. Now what to do for Sarah and Steven. I can't send them home. I'll figure it out but right now lets do some doctor stuff.) Freya  spends her morning helping the staff with their duties because today was actually Freya's day off.

11am Freya heads back to the Blue children's room. Knocking and goes inside the room there the children are playing tic tac toe both are happy.

Freya " Hello you two I'm back. Are you two doing okay?"

Sarah " Yeah were fine. We were waiting for you Freya." both Steven and Sarah smile at Freya.

Freya " Thank you for being patient. Do the clothes fit fine?"

Steven " Yes there really comfortable, thank you Freya."

Sarah " Thank you Freya."

Freya "Your welcome. Okay Steven let me do a check up." Freya walks over to the other side of the bed and helps Steven get off the bed so he can stand.

Steven takes Freya's hand and gets down from the bed. Standing there calmly waiting for Freya.

Freya " Okay Steven I'm going to begin. If you feel any pain or if you feel uncomfortable please let me know."

Steven " Yes ma'am."

Freya smiles and begins the check up. Listening to his breathing, looking at the bruises, and checking his shoulder. "Well Steven you are healing just fine. Your arm should be fully healed by Thursday. Everything else should be healed by Friday. You have a little infection in your lungs but some medication will fix it, so no worries."

Steven "Yes ma'am and thank you very much."

Sarah smiling "Thank you Freya."

Freya " Your welcome Steven, Sarah.....Now for tomorrow we will go to your house to get your things for school. I have brought clothes for today and tomorrow. Don't worry I'll be with you the whole time. I will also be dropping you off at your school." The children relax a little when hearing that Freya will be with them. But still seem a little worried and scared. Freya smiles at them as to help reassure them.

For the rest of the day the children stayed in the room spending time together. Freya helps out with the patients and checks on the Blue children after her paperwork. Freya greets and bids farewell to the elderly that come for their routine check ups. Once more before Freya heads home she goes to check on the Blue children. Who were doing just fine.

Finally home Freya sits and slumps down on her couch thinking about how to approach the morning. Silence falls on the apartment for 30 minutes. Freya zombie like gets up and goes to change her clothes. Watching Tv and snacking on some string cheese and a soda. Freya looks at her watch (oh it's 10:15pm, I better get to bed. I have an interesting morning coming.) Freya ends up falling asleep on the couch while she was watching Tv.

Monday:

5:00am in the morning Freya is up and almost ready to leave " Alright let's do this.!"

Freya arrives at the clinic and helps the children get ready. Making sure that they have breakfast and making sure they remember how to take the medication for Steven and to remember to take care as they are still healing. Freya takes off her watch and puts it one Steven, now explaining to both of them

Freya " I set alarms on this watch for when to take the medication. One in the morning and one before bedtime. Don't forget to take them, take them until they are all gone. You should be taking your last med on Friday."

" Yes ma'am" Both say together

Freya " Okay Sarah, Steven let's go."

" Okay." Both say together

The three of them arrive at the Blue's apartment, Freya knocks on the door. Then children hide behind Freya when they hear the heavy foot steps of someone coming to the door. (Geez sounds like a large animal coming to the door. I guess its a good thing that I took those defensive glasses.) The door opens a man of medium build stands there and rudely barks

" What do you want?!"

Freya looks at this man who is lazily dressed in shorts and undershirt. Freya having a stern and disgusted look on her face " I've come with Sarah and Steven to get their things for school."

The man's expression quickly changes to surprise, he looks for the children. When he sees them he changes his attitude as if he was concerned and worried for the children.

Freya not moving keeps her eyes on the man. She notices he tried to bandage his head where Sarah hit him. (Tsk! Serves him right.)

Man " Oh you found them! I've been worried." He reaches out to the children but Freya stays blocking the man from getting close to the children.

Freya " I'm sorry boyfriend of Mrs. Blue but you should stay away from them. We are here only for their school stuff. Please move aside."

Obviously upset the man stands there blocking the entrance for a moment. He steps back annoyed about the situation he retreats to the seating area of the apartment.

Freya makes sure the man keeps a distance from the children. Watching him go to the seating area Freya takes the children further in. Together at the hallway

Freya " Sarah, Steven get your things I'll be right here."

" Yes ma'am." Both say and quickly go to get their things.

The man watching from the couch looks at Freya. Then suddenly he speaks " Who are you? Why are you with them?"

Looking at the man with cold eyes Freya gives him a once over look and doesn't hide her disgust. " I am someone that can prove your wrong doings."

His eyes widen getting nervous but tries to pretend like he doesn't know what Freya's talking about. " Wrong...doing...I don't know what you mean."

Freya " Sure. I suggest you run. Far." Freya straightens up as she hears the children coming.

The man completely angry gripping the cushions of the couch about to say something but gets cut off by the sudden appearance of the children.

Sarah holding Stevens hand " We're ready ma'am."

" Okay let's go schools about to start." Freya smiles and guides them to walk ahead of her out of the apartment.

Freya gives the man one last sharp look as they leave as if giving him a warning.

Mad about the situation the man stays put knowing doing or saying something would make thing worse for himself. He watches as they all leave.

Walking to the school the Blue children attend they children express how grateful and thankful they are that Freya was with them. They told her how scared they were and how they can't wait until their mom comes home. Standing at the entrance of the school the three of them say their goodbyes.

Freya" Alright kiddo's, I still have some things to take of so I need to get going. The two of you don't have to worry about anything. I've already taken care of everything. By the time you get home everything should be different."

Sarah still with a worried look on her face " Really Freya? Will it really be okay?"

Freya " I'm sure. Now remember Steven's medication and don't play to hard you two are still healing. I already talked to your school so don't worry about them asking any questions. Also if you guys ever feel like your not safe you know where the clinic is and you also have my number. But remember you can also always call the police they can probably get to you quicker than I could. Now go have a good day at school." Freya gives them a sweet smile.

Steven stunned looking at Freya smiling " Wow. Your really pretty when you smile."

Sarah grabs Steven's hand smiling " Very pretty Freya"

Blushing from the children's compliment " Sweet talkers. Go to class."

The kids say goodbye hugging Freya " Thank you for everything Miss. Way." Both say and leave, walking towards the school building.

Freya watches as the Blue children walk to the school. (They're so cute.) Freya turns and walks away towards the Blue's apartment. " Now got the tough part." Taking her phone out looking at the time (She should be almost home. I'll have to wait for her. I hope that man gets handled properly. I wish I could have done more then give him evil eyes. But the children don't need more trauma.) Freya lets out a long sigh.

Arriving back at the Blue's apartment Freya scans the area seeing if anything's different. She goes and sits on the stairs that lead to the upper apartment's. Pulling out her phone again Freya begins to play a game as she waits for Mrs. Blue to arrive.
