Episode 5

Monday (AM continued):

Patiently waiting Freya notices a vehicle drive in the parking lot and park. Freya looks at the clock on her phone (9:00am right on time. The children weren't kidding when they said she would arrive on time.) Freya stands up and fixes herself and waits for Mrs. Blue. Freya watches Mrs. Blue a little as she gathers her things ( wow she's a cute lady. Her children really know how to describe her. She looks exactly like they said she would.) Mrs. Blue starts to walk toward the direction of where Freya is. Freya stands at the bottom of the steps and addresses Mrs. Blue.

Freya "Good morning Mrs. Blue."

Mrs. Blue a bit surprised and cautious she replies "  Morning ma'am.....Umm do I know you?"

Freya (gees do I look super old or something or is ma'am just that commonly used now a days.) " No Mrs. Blue. My name is Freya Way and I am a doctor at a local clinic. I have some matters to discuss with you." Freya hands her a business card.

" My children! Are they alright!?" Mrs. Blue dropping everything and taking a step forward towards Freya. Concern and worry spread across her face.

Freya " Mrs. Blue if we could please go inside I'll explain everything and yes your children are fine. They are at school right now."

Mrs. Blue relaxes a little but still showing concern " Yes of course. Please come in Dr. Way." Mrs. Blue leads the way into the apartment. Freya following Mrs. Blue and helps her take in her things.

Both Mrs. Blue and Freya are in the seating room. Mrs. Blue gets tea prepared and finally getting settled. Freya scans the room to see if she would see or notice if that man was around. He's nowhere to be seen (Tsk...he ran, coward.)

Mrs. Blue twiddling her thumbs getting anxious " If you would please explain what's going on Dr. Way."

Having a drink before she starts Freya takes a breath " Mrs. Blue your children showed up at my clinic this past Saturday morning. There I treated them both as they both were physically harmed. Your daughter Sarah had a badly bruised right arm, a cut on her back right shoulder blade that needed stitches but she couldn't have because the wound was already healing. Also she had a bump on her head. As for Steven his was a bit more serious. Steven suffered a dislocated shoulder, a tooth was knock out, he has bruises mainly on hos upper body and he also had an infection in his lungs."

"WHAT!?!?" Mrs. Blue heartbroken, shocked, mad and confused. Tears strongly stream down her face as she tries to take in all this information about her children.

Freya " Mrs. Blue if you please calm down. Your children were very well taken care of and are safe. Please if you could calm yourself I would like to finish."

Clutching her fist Mrs. Blue wanting to get angry does her best to calm herself knowing she needs to hear the rest. She takes a deep breath and calms down " Please finish Dr. Way

Freya "From what I know this is what happened." Freya explains everything she knows about the situation with the Blue children. Freya see Mrs. Blue heartbreak more and guilt start to consume her with to the point of frustration that bring her to tears. Mrs. Blue cries as she listens to what her children went through.

Freya " Your children were on the street for three nights and two days. I believe while being in the streets Steven got the infection and his fever. The fever is what lead Sarah to my clinic. They stayed at the clinic for the weekend. I took them to school after we came here to get their things and also meet your boyfriend."

Mrs. Blue flinches as anger starts to overwhelm the other emotions.

Freya " Mrs. Blue I did not call the police because your children wanted you back first. They were scared that man would do something." Freya sits up straight looking at Mrs. Blue in the eyes. Mrs. Blue tears stream down her face while she remands angry and guilty.

Freya " Mrs. Blue your children love and care about you very much. They are both very brave. Your daughter is one heck of a big sister. I suggest changes be made immediately to your household. I am very grateful they came to the clinic, instead of waiting in the streets for you to come home."

Mrs. Blue quietly sitting and listening to Freya.

Freya " Your children should be fully healed by this Friday. Steven is take oral medication for the infection. Both Sarah and Steven know how to take the medication. I have made this low key as much as possible via request from your children. I have also informed the school so there won't be any questions." Freya starts to get up and starts to take her leave. Mrs. Blue pulls herself together and gets up too.

Freya " I need to get going. Don't worry about the medical expenses. Here is my number at the clinic. Call if you have any questions."

As Freya turns to Mrs. Blue grabs one of Freya's hand with both of her hands. Looking down Freya sees tears fall to the floor. Suddenly Mrs. Blue looks up at Freya.

Mrs. Blue " Dr. Way thank you greatly for everything. I am indebted to you. My children are everything and more to me. I made such a disgusting mistake that put my loves in danger. My children suffered when they should have never known such a thing. Again Dr. Way thank you, thank you with every fiber of my being." Mrs. Blue gently squeezes Freya's hand.

Freya smiles seeing how Mrs. Blue love for her children was so sincere. Freya was happy to know and confirm the children were going to be fine and safe now. " Good bye Mrs. Blue. You have great children and they love you deeply."

Mrs. Blue " Thank you Dr. Way and good bye."

Leaving the Blue resident Freya walks to the bus stop. Stretching and thinking ( Looks like some good changes are on the way to the Blue house hold. Seeing how she reacted she didn't know about the abuse. But I also noticed that she was realizing somethings. Maybe of past behavior or injuries they suddenly got. I'm glad her love is strong for her children.) " Ahhh man... I don't want to wait for the bus. I guess I'll just take a taxi. I should have just taken the whole day off instead of just half a day." pouting as she calls for a taxi.
