She sits on the sofa with a book in her hand.Her eyes focused and away from distraction.

She keeps her body comfortable as music plays in background.A man then walked towards her and gave her a fake cough.

" Amara your grandfather and the others are here"he notified making the young girl lift her head at him.

"Oh okay"she casted a small smile putting down the book she was holding and the man left her alone.

She then stood up and walked her way at the livingroom where her relatives are.She slowly walks down the hallway in deep thoughts.

"Miss,come in your parents are waiting for you"a maid uttered then she walks in and sits with them.

"Hello darling"her grandfather greeted giving her a hug making her cast another smile from.

"Hi "she simply replied her eyes roaming around the room looking at the unknown faces infront of them.

"Who are they?"she asked smiling at her parents but they just replied with a smile.

"Hi,it's really nice to meet you"a middle aged woman offered her hand to a hand shake.

"Amara,this is Mr. And Mrs. Penry and their son Jake"her stepmother inroduced making her nod.She smiled at them.

"It's a pleasure to meet you"the young boy greeted as she smiles back in response.

"Amara,will you give Jake a tour on the house while we talk?"her father suggested making her silent for a moment then eventually agreed.She then stood up gesturing the young boy to follow her.

"This way"she uttered ignoring his gaze.The young man followed as they leave their parents in bussiness.

They silently walk down the hallway not any word uttered.

"So what part of the house do you want to take a look first"she asked breaking the silence as the boy follows.

"It depends"he replied making her silent for a moment again.

"If you don't mind going to the garden?it's the most spacious part of the whole house"she suggested recieving a humm and nod as a response from the young man.

As they step out the house entering the garden they started walking around and admire the sunny day and the beautiful plants sorrounding them.

"Do you know?"she asks hesitantly making the young man look at her.

"...that they're making an engagement?"she continued while they continued walking.

"Yes"he simply answered making the young girl stop.

"Did you agree?"she asked facing him while the young man ignored her gaze.

"I don't have a choice"he replied causing the girl to look away with teary eyes.

"I guess we both don't"she uttered in response and continued walking making the young man sigh in frustration.

"So,how old are you?"he asks changing the topic.

"Nineteen,you?"she asked.

"Twenty-four,so I'm five years older"she nods in his response.Then they stopped and sat on the chairs near the house.

Amara's POV

I've been staring at the clouds for a long time now not remembering I was with someone.We've been sitting here for some minutes now.It's a little bit awkward knowing that this guy beside me is the one I'm gonna marry.

Both my grandparents and parents are into bussiness.Because of this even my life is involved.They've been planning on putting me on marriage but I did'nt know it'd be this soon.

I can't argue or fight with their decisions it'll just make the situation worst.Besides I bet this guy is'nt that bad after all.I just hope this will lead to a good outcome.

"Young Master your parents are calling for you."An unknown man came in and called Jake.He stood up and looked at me.

"I will see you soon,Amara"He slightly bowed and left with the man fron earlier.

"Soon..."I whispered to myself as I look at him leaving.

How did I even end up like this?With all this wealth theres nothing good that it caused me.

After they all left I was with my grandfather in the living room.He was having a cup of coffee while I stare at the furnace.The heat sorrounding the room.

"Amara...."he called making me tilt my head to his direction as he pat the vacant seat beside him.He was sitting infront of me.Holding onto his cane for support.I sat beside him as he looks at me.

"Amara,your grandma is dying..."he utteted making me lower my head.

"Granpa,don't say that she'll be fine"I argued while he sighs.

"Yes of course she is"he smiled and looked at me

"I know and....I'll visit her tommorow morning"I smiled hoping to make him a little comforted.

"She'll be happy to.."he responded smiling back at me

"I remember when your were just a baby it was her who took care of you"he continued

"Your father was too devaststed when your mother left both of you"he looked into my eyes while I just shrugged it off

"And now my one and only beautiful grandchild is grown up"he patted my head lightly making me cast another smile

"I hope you find happiness in your life,darling"I hugged him as we enjoy the warm night together.

My grandparents are special to me specially my grandma.She took care of me until I was fifteen.My father said mom was too young to have me that's why she could'nt make it.

Now that Dad has found another woman in his life I cant help but feel happy for him.She's nice and she's a doctor.She helps me in my studies.I also want to cure people like her.To save someones life too.

But I think its too late.I think it's too late to help my grandmother.
