First day at work

"OMG! I am going to be late!!"I could not sleep well after the nightmare. I hop out of the bed to get ready. I wash up and wear the best suitable dress from my wardrobe. As I look in mirror to put some makeup on.. "WTF... I have big dark circles under my eye and I look so pale, tired and ugly!!" I manage to cover my ugly face with my makeup skills that I had learnt from youtube videos. " Better!! You are going to rock it!" Satisfied with the look and little motivation ..I leave for the job.

It is my dream job and I have worked very hard to get this position. After my breakup, only this achievement has kept me going. I reach the location and.." Wow!! such a huge building.. cannot believe I will be working here from now on. Proud of you girl!", I praise myself. It is the main financial organisation of the country which comes under the government and I got lucky to get the position in the headquaters. It is like dream come true.

I enter the building and walk towards the reception area, the girl greets me with smile, "Good morning maam, how can I help you?"

I smile back and reply" Good morning. My name is Rose Wilson and today is my first day here. Can you please tell me where newcomers are supposed to report?".

The girl guides me. "She is so polite and friendly." I tell to myself as I follow her lead.

We reach our destination and the girl leaves. It is a huge hall where all the newcomers are told to wait until further instruction. I look around and find an empty seat. "Oh God, I feel nervous.There are so many people here. I hope to make few good friends." People who reached before me has already introduced themselves to eachother.

As I am lost in thoughts I do not realise someone is calling me, " Hey, is this seat taken? Excuse me dear?? hey?? can I sit here?" I look at direction of the voice. It is a female voice. She points at the seat beside me where I have kept my bag. I immediately come to my senses and grab my bag..

" Ohh yeah..sure you can sit here. Sorry I was lost in thoughts." I smile at her.

" No problem dear. You look nervous." She says.

" Yeah, a bit." I nod ageering to her.

" Don't worry. It is same for everyone but some are good at hiding it and some are not. I am nervous too. By the way, Hi I am Ivy Anderson and nice to meet you." She extends her hand to me and I do the same. " Hi Ivy, I am Rose Wilson and nice to meet you too." We smile at eachother.

The welcome ceremony starts and the senior person who might be at the higher position gives a motivational speech and congratulates us for our success.. "Congratulations to all the new officers again and best luck everyone." There is a great applause after he ends his speech.

Later, we are called to complete other formalities.

Ivy and I start to get along in the process. I start to feel that we are

going to be good friends in the future.

After the formalities, we are told to go home and start the work from tomorrow...

I get home and go straight in the bed as I have no appetite..It was a great day. Hope I will get a good sleep today.
