CHAPTER ONE

"Kaira, please

agree. Your Aunt Suzette really came here for you." Mom's forcing me.

Earlier she was pressuring me because of her friend's request. She will just

make me her son's Tutor.

"I don't want

that Ma!" Disgusted I replied then I sat on my bed. "One more thing,

Aunt Suzette's son is very proud." I added which is true. Hee was my

classmate so I knew.

"You're very

harsh to him Kaira. Just try and if it doesn't work, you can quit." She

was still convincing.

"So I quit."

I told her emphatically and then stamped all the contents of my bag.

"Where is that?" I asked myself.

"What are you

looking for?" She asked. She was coming out of my bedroom door.

"After that, go down and talk to your Aunt Suzette regarding her

offer."

I just nodded as I

searched for my belongings. Where is that memory card? I just put it in my bag

here.

And another why do I

have to be Kent’s Tutor? Why me? And one more thing, I’m busy.

"Are you still

there, Kaira?" I could already hear my mother's voice so I went out

immediately.

"I also heard

that you are a Scholar of Governor Cobarrubias, that's why I chose you to be

the Tutor of my son. Besides, you already know each other." Said Aunt Suzette

while holding my two hands.

You're wrong Tita, I

know him by his name and attitude but we're not close. I just said it in my

mind.

she asked again. I just didn't answer because I knew that Mama would scold me

later.

After they left our

assignment when suddenly my messenger rang. Kent mentions me in our Group Chat,

and why is that?

I didn't think to

reply yet, I'm just wasting my time and I'm still busy.

"Kaira!!" An

eerie call accompanied by a series of knocks on my bedroom door.

I slowly opened my

eyes, it was morning. I've slept through my assignment, I'll just continue with

school later.

"Kaira!!" I

heard Mama's voice again, so I got up and opened the door.

"Why Ma? It's

only 6:20 oh ..." I said annoyed again and showed her the time on my

cellphone.

"Yes Kaira, it's

early but you're ashamed of your Aunt Suzette's son. He's been waiting for you

for a while."

"Huh?!" I

was confused by what was happening. Why is he here? I haven't asked Mama yet

because she has come down. I just secretly peeked at him here on the stairs.

Gosh!!! I even pinched

my arm.

"OUCH !!" I

whispered screaming. I'm not even dreaming.

I hurried into my room

and immediately opened my messenger. Goodness! He chatted with me and I didn't

reply. I also took a shower right away because it was embarrassing.

"Kent has been

waiting for you for a long time, Kaira." Mom said before we left the

house.

"I didn't tell

him to pick me up." I said in disgust. It's too early and this is how it

opens up to me.

"It's okay

Tita." Kent replied.

"Take care."

Mom's reminder before going back inside the house.

"Oh, wear

it." He handed me the helmet. Oh come on, it's not just his coming here to

the house that annoys me, it's also his rides.

I can't do anything

anymore. I have no choice. So, when I put on the helmet, I sat on his

motorbike.

"Hold on. You

might fall." He reminded me. I put my hands on his shoulders and then he

started his motor.

I got off his

motorbike.

"How's this

helmet of yours? It's hard to remove." I scolded him while holding the

belt lock of his helmet.

"I'll be the one

to remove." He pulled my arm closer to him so ....

"ARAY !!"

She screamed as she touched his head.

"Will you kill

me?" He asked while his palm was still on his head.

"Because you

pulled me." I'll argue. He didn't complain anymore because it was really

his fault.

He removed the lock of

the helmet I was wearing and after that I left him. I don't want to go with

him.
