Suzuki’s POV
That same night I got fired, I went out, not to drink or anything but I needed groceries.
As I walked into the store, I got greeted with high prices, I wasted 30% of my salary on this, 50% on my rent and 20% for whatever I wanted, but with the money I made, it wasn’t much left.
I paid for my stuff and left, it was chilly at night and creepy and I can’t forget, dangerous.
I wanted to get home as quickly as possible, but on my way, I noticed that there was way more people here than usual, it was dense and people were rushing towards something, or rather someone.
The cameras light, lit everything up like it was still day and the screams and yells of both questions and ‘look over here for the camera!’s were tremendously loud.
As I walked but the enormous crowd, everything stopped, when I heard a specific name, or rather sentence.
“Mr. Tetsurou! Please look over here for the camera!”
Mr. Tetsurou
Tetsurou
I knew that name by heart, the Tetsurou family had always been powerful, no matter the era, the family had been filled with Kings, Queens, Princesses, princes, dukes, duchesses, earls and other powerful positions, but when they’re wasn’t any kings, queens or other powerful positions alive in the family, they still were looked at like one, they held enormous power even when there wasn’t any powerful positions involved.
It was either because of the powers that was given to them since birth, either from another family member or a new one, it has always been beneficial.
They had no problems with money and they had enough influence to turn everyone against the current ruler, so it was only wise to be on their good side as they were the real rulers.
I had worked at multiple companies, powerful or not, so it was only expected, that I knew that name. Everybody did.
He was a well known mafia man, he was such a powerful mafia man, that it ended up not mattering if society knew or not, they couldn’t do anything anyway, he was invincible if he wanted to be and he wanted to.
He was not only attractive, but also powerful, something women adored, I was attracted to him as well, but I knew that I had no chance, so I ignored it, I have only seen him from the media, but never in real life.
What shocked me even more, was that my string (which was only visible to me and my soulmate) pointed towards the crowd of people.
I had always dreamed of meeting him, I had no care in the world about his job, he could be poorer than the poorest and I would still stick to him.
Is he a photographer?
I didn’t want to throw away the opportunity to meet him, so I walked towards the crowd of people. I squeezed my way to the front, I had my eyes glued to the photographers, I knew I had no chance with the rich, so why look after one?
I looked at my red string and followed it with my eyes. It lead into the middle of it, where the photographers were taking of, or them.
My eyes widened as I looked at the 6ft+ tall male in front of me, he had the most piercing gaze I’ve ever seen. He looked me right in the eyes .
I first thought that my soulmate was behind him as he stood in front of a tall glass window, but I realized that that wasn’t the case at there were no one behind it.
I couldn’t believe it, but the way he looked at me. He had stopped right in his tracks and just stood there looking at me. To make sure, I walked to the side but his piercing gaze only followed, confirming my thoughts.
I panicked and started backing up, I wanted to leave, to run. Something was wrong, he couldn’t be my soulmate, I don’t belong with the rich and powerful.
He himself wasn’t the problem, in fact, he was even more handsome than in pictures. I just couldn’t do with the status.
I know I said that status didn’t matter, but that’s because I never expected for my soulmate to be the most feared man in Asia.
He needed as strong, smart, rich and powerful woman by his side, that wouldn’t ruin his reputation and allies.
I am not that woman.
I walked backwards for a couple of steps while being covered by the swam of paparazzi trying to take photos of him, before turning around and walking away.
It broke my heart to walk away from my so called ‘soulmate’ but, with my insecurities and introverted personality, I wouldn’t be able to fit in.
I could feel his stare bore into me as I walked, I was still in eyes sight as it was difficult to navigate through the swarming crowd of paparazzi.
Now he was getting questions like “Why aren’t you moving!?” “Is something wrong?!” “Did you realize something!?” “Do you regret taking this meeting!?”
And that was when I turned around, his eyes had not moved away from me, but this time he did something different. He raised his hand and snapped his two fingers, getting his ‘soldiers’ attention and then pointed his finger at me.
Then he moved again, he calmly walked into his car and drove away.
I panicked and started running, the swam of people had not seen who he pointed at but his ‘soldiers’ did.
It was easy to get out of the crowd that was now turning around and leaving as Mr. Tetsurou had also left. I blended in perfectly, but sadly not perfect enough.
When the swam of people became smaller and smaller after I left, a hand came out of nowhere and took me.
His ‘soldiers’ had kept an eye out for me.
I was scared out of my mind
I had been captured.
