Are they home?

I was so pumped to do everything that people do in sleepovers. I love sleepovers but my sister said sleepovers are only for girls, and that boys don’t do them. And on top of that my parents were no help. They just said that they were for babies and little kids and that I am too old for that kind of stuff, but today I am going to prove her wrong. In a few minutes,

“So Henry, what is your house like?”

“Not much I guess it's just different, just don't freak out when we get there,” Henry said worried.

“Come on it cant be that bad I'm sure it's not that bad,” I said to henry.

“Just you’ll see when we get there,” Henry said, confident that I was wrong.

 we had arrived at Henry's house and by the time we got there it was already past 5:15 pm

"Ok, so you wait here while I go see if my brother and uncle are home, got it,” Henry said.

“Ok, but do you know how long that will take,” I said worriedly because it looked like it was going to rain.

“It will only take a few minutes I promise just, don't go anywhere,” Henry said.

Henry started to walk inside the house and a few seconds later, crash, bang, boom, clang. A bunch of loud and crazy noises had just come out of the house.

 “HENRY, are you ok in there do you need help,”

I was so worried if he was hurt but didn’t even start to think of what made all that noise in the first place.

“NO don't come in here. I mean I’m fine there's no need,” Henry yelled out of the house in a strange voice.

“You sure that sounded like broken glass,” I said to Henry.

Honestly I’m really worried about him and didn’t want anything bad to happen to him that would cause him to be hurt but if he says he's fine then I'll let it go.

“Well ok but be more careful and also I don’t mean to be rude but could you hurry it up the sky is getting darker,”

I looked up at the sky, the clouds were getting way closer and darker to us and I didn’t want to get wet.

"OK so my uncle and brother are here, but they said they're fine with you staying with a helpful nudge," Henry said to me.

"OK that's great so can I come in before it starts to …..,"

A loud bang of thunder interrupted me and then it started to rain.

“looks like I jinxed it,” I said while holding my backpack over my head so I wouldn't get wet.

“Ok sorry about that but you can come in now,”

I started to walk inside the house. I couldn’t believe my eyes. Henry’s house was very different from what I was expecting.
