Round two proceed to be the same. He found a hole, he poked it with a stick, and then a frenzied battle ensued. This process usually doesn't take long, but leave him exhausted.
But this time, he remembered to using his [Special Ability: Pull]. [Special Ability] is a random ability that people obtained... randomly. It can be when they were a baby or when they were a mother. It is not exactly rare, but the majority of them is rather weak. He can used his to, like it said, pull things toward him. Small things, really. Like a pen. Or redirecting a leaping rats straight to his knife.
He just kinda forgot about it previously.
It was after the second battle that Budi hollered at him, "Mas!" He yelled, "Sorry, but we have to go home now, is that alright?"
"I-it's fine!" Dimas hollered back. "B-but, what about the-the bodies?!" He questioned.
"Bodies?!" Budi frowned in confusion.
"The-the rats!" The [Rogue] clarifying. "Wh-what do you w-want me to do with the-them?!"
Internally, he groaned, 'This stuttering is really bothersome.'
"Oh, just... just leave them there! I'll take care of it tomorrow!"
"Okay," he mumbled softly while pointing his thumb upward.
With that, the [Farmers] family departed and Dimas get back to his work. But he only got to do it one more time, because his Healing Potion ran out.
Quickly cutting the Mondok Rats' tails, he counted it's sum totals is 22. Shoving it all in his bag, he can barely crammed it inside. It is bulging by how much it's content is.
Snatching his sandals, he hurried over to the Adventurer's Guild because the day is already darkening and it would be descending into night before long.
Fortunately, it is still open, though he noticed that the [Receptionists] is different this time, likely had had changed shift. Well, except Laila. She is still there working.
Thanking his luck that it is someone that he at least a little familiar with, he walked to her section of the long desk.
"Hello again," greeted Laila upon seeing him. "Here to turn up your quest?" She asked.
"Y-yes, hello," he sputtered awkwardly. "It's ju-just... the quest didn't spe-specifi..." he trailed off into the distance after noticed that the [Receptionist] had gone silent and quietly staring at a tracks of mud leaved on the floor by his barefoot.
"Um, s-sorry." Dimas grimaced, feeling abashed.
"Um," she pursing her lips. "It's fine, it's fine, we have a [Cleaner] to fix it. You were saying?"
"The q-quest didn't specify h-how many rats I-I had to kill, though?" Dimas quietly enquired.
"Oh, didn't I told you? It's a pay-per-kill sort of quest." She remarked with concern on her eyes.
Even though it is way more cheaper to post one quest for, say, ten kills than one quest for pay-per-kills, you'd never knew of just how many Mondok Rats had infested your farm. If it is exceeded your limit, then you would have to post more quest and the cost would start to adding up. So, most people prefer to post pay-per-kills quest for monsters.
"N-no." He replied in dissent.
"Well, uh, sorry," she said bashfully. "So, how many did you kills, exactly?"
"I, uh, twenty two," he stated. "He-here, I have the t-tails." Dimas spoke while reaching for his bag.
"No need, we have a Truth Stone." Laila interjected and drawing a round pearly white stone from under the desk. "Just place your hand on it's surface, it would flashed red when you lied and would flashed green when you tell the truth."
Truth Stone is basically magic that had condensed naturally into mineral, this mineral then later on mined and cut by a [Gem Cutter], and then it was imbued with a [Truth Spell], which is a fairly complex process.
Thankfully, it's flashing green.
"Right, that's done. As per the quest, one kill is two copper. Do you want to sell the tails, too?
"Y-yes." He confirmed.
"One tail is also two copper. So, it's all summed up to eighty eight copper in total. Do you want to deposit your money or just taking it?"
"D-deposit?"
"Yes, we, the Adventurer's Guild, can save your money and you can withdraw it in other Adventurer's Guild anywhere. Well, as long as you are a member, anyway. It is one of our aforementioned services."
"T-then, I'll just d-deposit my m-money."
He'd to signed a few paperwork and when he'd finished, it is already night outside. The two moons is shining high in the sky, their name was Nur and Mulan.
The roads is illuminated by magelights, either shining through houses' window or from the streetlight on the side of the road.
He walked slowly this time, not having any urgent bussiness to do. There is still people moving about outside, but not as crowded as during the day.
The door is not locked when he arrived, his grandfather likely had anticipated that he would got home late.
Though, he seemed to be still working, so Dimas doesn't called out to him, having not wished to disturb him.
After cleaning himself of mud and filth in the bathroom, he goes straight to his room and throwing himself to his bed. Exhausted beyond belief.
