I am her Boyfriend!

*screech*

A big car stopped in front of Avery. Suddenly the door opened and a man came out.

“Wow! Girl you are so pretty. Want me to drop you to school?” He asked her while observing her from head to toe.

“So shall we go?”

“Please get lost!”

“What if I don’t want to?”

“Mister, I’m asking you nicely. Please GET THE HELL AWAY FROM HERE!

“I’m also asking you nicely. GET IN THE CAR!”

All of a sudden Avery screamed so loud that people on the street started gathering around them. An old man came forward and asked Avery what had happened. Avery said, “He was asking me to sit in the car, I don’t even know who he is!”

“Leave me and that girl alone. It’s just a lover’s quarrel. Outsiders shouldn’t get involved. am i right, my dear?”

“Who are you calling her lover? I’m her boyfriend!” A deep voice came from behind Avery, as he slowly put his hand over her shoulder.

It was Aiden, Avery's cousin on whom she had a crush for really long. Aiden was in the same school as Avery so their path to school was the same. When Avery saw Aiden, she started to blush really hard.

“Young lady, do you know this guy who claims to be your boyfriend?” The old man asked looking concerned.

“Oh yeah... I’m his girlfriend,” said Avery as she decided to play along Aiden because he was the only one she could trust right now.The crowd started to disperse as they heard that her boyfriend was there.

“Excuse me! You just came out of nowhere and claimed her to be her boyfriend. We can’t trust you!” The man with the car said it with a smirk on his face.

“Well I am her boyfriend and she even admitted that she’s my girlfriend. If you don’t want to trust me then I don’t care. I just need her trust. And more importantly she didn’t say that you were lovers, did she?” Aiden glared at the man and then looked at Avery. Avery started to shake her head to indicate that they were not lovers.

“So the problem is cleared. Then my dear GIRLFRIEND, shall we go?” Aiden offered Avery his hand. Avery put her hand in Aiden's hand. She was as red as tomato. She was screaming inside.

The man with car was really angry. He opened the door of his car and sat inside. Just before closing the door, the man said, “Slutty Woman!”

“Jerk! Come back! Scared to face a girl... huh?

Avery wanted to punch him right in the face but he had already started the car and left. Avery was so angry that she clenched her fists but then she realised something in her hand. It was Aiden's hand that she had been squeezing. She suddenly stopped squeezing, released his hand and apologised to Aiden.

“Ummm.... thanks Aiden. You saved me today!”

“Welcome. Just be safe on your way home too.”

“I sure will.”

After saying that Aiden started to run towards the school because if he didn’t hurry he would be late for his school. Even though they both went to the same school, Avery's school started 10 minutes late and ended 5 minutes early. The school was really strict about stopping the boys and girls from dating.

Suddenly Avery saw Aiden running towards her. She was shocked to see him because the boy’s school was just about to start. Aiden came close to her and said, “*huff* I will walk *huff* with you to school today so nobody else harasses you!” He was breathing really hard because he was running really fast.

Hearing Aiden’s words, Avery’s heart skipped a beat and she could hear her heart pounding.

“But Aiden you will be late.”

“It doesn’t matter. At least you will be safe!” Aiden said to her while smiling.

Avery’s heart was beating so fast that she thought it would burst.

Aiden walked her to school and said to her, “Wait outside school for me and I will walk with you to home.” Saying this Aiden left.

“I don’t mind him walking home with me! It’s been so long since we both talked freely like this. It’s been so long, we were 6 then, the last time we talked to each other as familiar people!” thought Avery.
