Chapter three: Chocolate is better than any other guy

Melanie's POV:

"What's your name?"

Asks that disrespectful scumbag asshole. After being soo disrespectful, you think I'll tell you my name?? DREAM ON!!!

"Pumps." Now take that. Basically I don't reveal my name to strangers but for an arrogant monkey like you I'll give my name. But who said I'll tell my real name. Afterall shoe type is also called a NAME.

"Pumps??"

He looks a little startle I guess. And how dare he grab my hand?? I snatch it away but those big hands actually felt good.

"Yes, Pumps. Do you have any problem with my name?"

" No. No problem."

He seems a little bit in a daze. And by the way.. WHERE THE HELL IS PEARL?? She should be here with me when I'm facing a douchebag like this arrogant monkey. Don't tell me she just abandoned me. After scanning my surroundings, I finally find her gawking at some perfumes in a perfume shop.

"I'm so gonna kill her!!!

*Smack* "Ouchhh!! People will have brain damage if you smack their head like this Mousse."

"I would be happy if you have brain damage. I mean, when your bestie is handling an arrogant monkey, you abandon her??"

"What?? MONKEY??!! Where's monkey? I want to see."

As she starts looking for a monkey I can't handle but be irritated. I mean did she really think there's a monkey in the MALL??

*Smack* "What was that for again?"

Rubbing her head she looks at me angrily.

"To give you some sense of humor. Now let's go, I need some chocolate."

it's a bad habit of mine to eat chocolate when I'm irritated, frustrated, angry, sad etc etc etc....

"Wait. Who made you angry?? Who's that ungrateful person??"

"Ungrateful you say?? He's an asshole prick, an arrogant monkey, who doesn't have any kind of manners."

God I feel soo pissed just thinking about him. So what he was hot and wearing a suit. He's definitely not a gentleman.

"Okk, calm down. We are getting chocolate right now and tell me what happened."

"Now you want to know?? After abandoning me with him??"

I was fussing so much that I think my ears will start to blow.

"I was drawn to this place. Besides, you know how much I love perfumes. I couldn't handle. My dear Mousse.. don't be angry, I'll treat you chocolate, okk?"

She is whimpering like a toddler who's just been scolded for stealing food.

I'm gonna spend every penny she has today and she won't even know where her money went. We roam around the food court, eat lots of chocolate and 2 McDonald's burgers and leave food court because Pearl has started to plead. Just as I promised she's penny less now.

We came home at 5 pm. I'm missing my mom. I think I should call her.

*Ringing* "It's mom!!" "Hilo Momma! How do you always know when I'm going to call??"

Mom: " Because I'm your mother. I know when my baby girl is missing me. Now tell me how was your day??"

"Normal. We went for shopping. As scheduled, Tyler is throwing a party tomorrow. But it's a little different this time."

Mom: "I know that honey but what are you not telling me Mel? Because whenever you think to call me it's either a very happy news or your in a bad mood."

"Gosh!! Now that you tell it like that, it feels like I'm a very bad girl."

Mom: "Hahaha.. spill it honey."

"Well, I bumped into a guy today and also apologized for that but he was such an asshole.."

*Biting tongue* Did I just called a guy an asshole while talking to my mom. Shit I'm screwed.

Mom: "Melanie Hale, Did you forget all of your manners?? You just called a person an asshole whom you don't even know?? Should I come there and personally teach you some manners??.."

" Umm... momma... I bumped into a guy, apologized to him but he was very arrogant so we got into an argument then we left. End of the story, I'm gonna hang up now. Byee!!"

Shoot..Did I just say all those in one breathe?? Still it's better then listening to mom's lecture. She's a very well mannered lady so it's obvious she would lecture me if I use any kind of abusive word.

I check Tyler's message and he wrote in bold language,

"WEAR A DRESS TOMORROW AND DON'T COME TO THE PARTY LOOKING LIKE A BEGGAR"

Huh...when did I go to his party looking like a beggar?? Yeah I wore the most basic dress but still I looked pretty. Whatever.

*Throws the phone in bed*

Just as I open the jar of neutella..

"Your eating chocolate again?? Wasn't it enough this afternoon??"

"It was but I still want to. Besides, chocolate is better than any other guy."

Which is actually truee. Because chocolate will never leave you but a guy will. So why not love chocolate instead.

"Okk okk got it. Are you going to sleep now?? It's 10 already."

"I'll sleep at 11. Got some paperwork to do. Or uncle Nelson will be furious. I'll have to submit it tomorrow."

"Wait, your a part timer in HR department. Why are you doing his jobs. His secretary should be doing it."

Oh I totally forgot to tell her that I'm not only a mere part timer in Hoover's industries now.

"Ah!! I'm also the unofficial PA of his. So, he assigns me with all confidential work because for some reason he's unable to trust his current official PA."

She's looking like she's gone into a shock zone.

"AAAAAAAAA......... WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL MEEE MEL...WE SHOULD CELEBRATE."

That's exactly why I didn't tell her.

"Nope. No celebrating. I'm going to do my work. Bye! Good night owl."

I literally dash to my room and shut the door. *Bang Bang Bang*...

"Open the door Melanie. This is not done."

"I'm not opening. I need to sleep or else I won't be able to wake up tomorrow morning."

*Silence..*

Did she go away?? Nope, not gonna take risk of opening the door to check.

*BANG* "Ughh. I hate your sleep. If I could\, I would've killed your sleep by now. Whatever\, be in your room and sleep but I need celebration for your success. We're definitely celebrating tomorrow.".

With that she leaves. I can tell she's super pissed right now. I'll deal with her tomorrow. Now I should do this paperwork and go to sleep.
