Chapter five: Brayden!!

Melanie's POV:

"Here's all the documents you wanted uncle Nelson."

God I'm so sleepy. I stayed up till 3am last night for these documents. I wanted to look good today at Tyler's party. But look at me now, I'm looking like a zombie came out of my own grave.

*Stunned* "Gosh..Mel dear!! Why are looking so...soo zombieish??"

*Frustrated* "I stayed up last night for those..."

I say pointing at those documents in his hands. Now praise me uncle. Because of you I'm gonna look like a zombie at tonight's party.*internal screaming*

"Ah...ahem. Okay. Thanks Mel for the hard work. I have a favor to ask you. Will you please look after Tyler, Pearl and yourself carefully these few days??"

IDK, for some reason uncle looks really worried about us. Is something wrong with business?? Is someone threatening him or something?? I also know business tactics and which person is meaning what when he's saying something. But I'll just pretend that I don't understand anything for now atleast.

"Of course uncle. Is something wrong??"

"Nothing's wrong dear. You don't need to worry about that."

Smiling he dismisses me. But I'm sure there is something wrong. I'll find out about it but first I want to sleep.

"Pearl it's 5 o'clock already. You should start getting ready. We should be there at 6 remember."

Pearl is always a lazy a*s when it comes to get ready. So I'm dragging her from her room to my room to get her ready.

"Look I've prepared everything you need. Just put on your clothes and I'll do everything else. Besides, I have something important to discuss with you and Tyler."

This brings Pearl's interest back. She hurriedly put on her dress and I do her hair and put some light makeup on her. Then I apply light blush on me, thin liner and rosy lipstick, I keep my hair open because I like my hair down and we are ready to go.

It's 6.10 when we reach at Tyler's. He is waiting outside for us with a grim expression.

"Tyler?? Is something wrong??"

"Mel, Pearl I need to talk with you guys. Come with me."

Pearl is a little shocked I guess but I feel like Tyler and I want to talk about the same thing. We follow him into his room. Then he closes the door checking carefully so that no one hears us.

"So, it's not my normal scheduled party. Father asked me to throw the party this time and lots of business tycoons are attending it. Mel, did you notice anything weird at work these days?"

"I noticed something weird today which I wanted to talk with you guys. Uncle asked me to look after ourselves and he was sounding really worried. "

"Wait, I'm butting my a*s in because I've also noticed my dad, he's very worried these days. Whenever I ask what's wrong, he pretends to be alright. But I heard him talking about someone called Brayden yesterday at lunch."

The three of us look at each other and become sure that something is wrong. Today's party gonna be interesting.

Derek's POV:

"When was the last time Nelson thrown a party like this?? Do you remember Derek??

I have to admit it's been a while Nelson threw a party this lively. Grayson is also surprised.

"At Tyler's 21st birthday."

"Gentlemen, will you please do the honor to come with me at my office??"

"Oh Nelson, you don't have to be so polite you know. Derek and I are like kids to you."

"Hahaha... Of course you guys are. Actually I'm very fond of you guys so a little politeness is worth it. Now come with me, I have some things to discuss."

Nelson's eyes tell me those will be really unpleasant things. As we enter Nelson's office we see Meden and Aiden is also there.

"It's been a while the 5 of us have gathered like this for something. I should cut the crap and come straight to the point. Brayden is out!!"

That hit us like a thunderbolt. WHAT THE HELL!! How did Brayden come out??

"What the hell are you talking Nelson??"

Meden snaps. Everyone here suffered a lot because of Brayden. Meden nearly lost his family because of him.

"He's telling the truth Meden. I got a call 2 days ago telling Brayden has escaped. Idk how he managed to break that strict facility but he did escape."

Aiden is a lawyer. Obviously he'll get this information way before us. That's a real blast for us.

"I'm not losing GS Airlines this time. Not now, not ever again."

Grayson nearly lost his company because of Brayden. It was his Grandfather's dream to build an Airline. So it took him great effort to build it again after nearly losing it. As for Nelson he lost his dear sister at that time. Aiden was our hidden weapon. So Brayden tried to kill him but got trapped by us. If I remember that time correctly... I lost my father because of him.

"So, is this why your stepping down, Nelson??"

He nods, we kept a trump card hidden, that was Nelson's company. Brayden didn't know that Hoover Industries is Nelson's and when Nelson saw Brayden is hurting family members, he kept Tyler hidden. Tyler debuted as Nelson's son at his 21st birthday when Brayden was finally in prison.

"Brayden doesn't know about Tyler. This way I can save both my company and Tyler. I'm going to the underworld because if Brayden really comes back he's gonna use any mean to take revenge. I think we have to get our hands dirty again."

We all nod in agreement and head out to the party. Whatever happens we can't let the past repeat itself.

"Tell them to distribute all my flights to other pilots. I'm not gonna fly for a while. Do it quickly." Grayson tells over a call.

"You sure about that Gray?? I mean not flying?? You love to fly, that's why after building an Airline you didn't stay at the office as a CEO."

Grayson is a very capable pilot. He handled soo many emergencies so smoothly that he should be awarded best pilot of history. Now he's cancelling all his flying schedule, seems unnatural.

"I can fly whenever I want. But I can't let my company crumble again because of a certain psychopath who finds it enjoyable to destroy people's valuable things."

I nod in agreement. I lost my father because of that psychopath's life game. I'm not gonna loose anyone again because of him.
