Chapter 2 The President

[Kath's POV]

I woke up early to prepare our breakfast. Daphne doesn't know how to cook. zone One time, she tried to fried an egg and she burnt it. My bestfriend almost burned the whole kitchen.

After that, I never let her touch the kitchen.

"What are you cooking Miss Fumiya?" she asked happily.

"Call me Miss Fumiya again, you will not wat bre---"

"The breakfast you cooked is magnificent! This is the best food ever" and she started to dig in.

My bestfriend is like a child.

"Let's go to work now" she said excitedly.

"Are you looking forward for the party?" I asked.

She nodded her head in a joyful manner.

Me and Daphne work in the same company. Though we have different position, I work as a writer and she's a secretary

We finished our work early because there will be a party at night. I started to prepare for it.

I wore a sexy dress and retouched my make-up.

I put on some accessories to look nice. It's a formal party so I need to look simple yet elegant.

"You're stunning" my bestfriend commented.

A lot of people say I'm attractive they even told me that I should be a model instead of a writer. Unfortunately, my beauty goes to waste.

We arrived at the part's venue. All of the employees looks like they are having fun. I am not a party hopper so I just sitted on my chair.

"Good evening everybody!" Mr. Ackerman started.

"Thank you for joining the party tonight. This party is for welcoming our new president Mr. Cyril Kevin Ackerman. Please give him a round of applause"

Everybody clapped their hands in amusement. I am enjoying the party when the new president caught my attention.

Am I dreaming? I even try to blink my eyes to make sure I am not imagining things. It can't be it's really him.

The CK guy who is a cold-hearted snake is our new president. What an unfortunate life.

He started to greet all the employees but I didn't listen. I am just staring at him for a long time.

"Hey girl, are you still there? What are you thinking? Or maybe you find our new president good looking" Daphne asked in confusion.

"He's the guy" I answered.

"What do you mean he's the guy?" she questioned.

"Nevermind" and I drink a glass of water to calm myself.

Daphne went to my side.

"Are you alright Kath? Are you mesmerized of Mr. Ackerman? Well, he's like a Greek god. Majority of the girls will fall for him" she stated.

I stared at her in a bored manner. He's not attractive at all. Our new president is a casanova, he likes to wreck woman's heart.

Even if he's the last man standing on the earth. I would never ever like him. I despise player like him.

"Hey Kath" and Nick interrupted our conversation.

Nick is one of my suitors. He is really eager to be my boyfriend. I try to stop him but he keeps on bugging me. Therefore, I give up. I let him do what he wants as long as he respects me.

"You're really into Kath" John commented.

Daphne is secretly in love with John. Although, John doesn't notice it. Thus, it makes me and Daphne hopeless romantic.

"Hi Daphne!" John said greeting her.

Daphne smiled sweetly.

"Why don't we go to dance?" She said and pulled John. My bestfriend is really aggressive.

"Nick you should invite Kath to dance" John said before leaving us.

"Do you want to dance?" Nick asked.

"I'm a terrible dancer"

"Okay" he said sadly.

It was really awkward to stay with Nick. So, I excused myself that I'm going to the restroom.

I told Nick about it and he just nodded his head.

I didn't go to the rest room. I went outside to get some fresh air. It is so noisy inside. I prefer quiet places like this one.

I was shocked when a guy suddenly pulled me.

"Hey miss you're so beautiful" the drunk man said. He looks like a molester.

I glared at him. I am a black belter in Taekwondo. It's easy to take him down.

"Let me go" I said calmly.

"I like woman who are high and mighty" and he laughed like crazy.

"Try me. I'm gonna kick you hard" I threaten.

"You are really stunning like a goddess. You turn me on" he said

I was am ready to kick him when a man suddenly spoke behind us.

"Let go of that woman, Mark" he said. I looked behind and saw our new president looking at us intently. Why am I always accidentally meeting this man? I try my best to stay away from him as much as possible.

"Me and my girlfriend are just having an argument" the molester and he smiled like crazy.

He's getting on my nerves.

"I'm not his girlfriend! He suddenly pulled my wrist! He's a stranger to me" I retorted.

I'm really gonna kick him if he tried to trigger my patience again.

"Miss, Mr. Ackerman and me are both play---" he wasn't able to finish his sentence because our new president already punch him.

I am the one who's going to take him down. How dare him mind my business?!

I saw the molester lying on the floor and I'm 100% sure that he already lost his consciousness because of the punch he received.

I tried to hide my face, I don't want to have any connection with him

I decided to run away so that I can escape from his grasp but I was shocked when he pulled me closer and kissed my lips in a wild manner.

He's really a despicable playboy. Does he think that I am an easy woman? He's wrong!
