Picked Up My Billionaire Husband
In the dim light, the room appeared to be a damp, musty dungeon with rough stone walls and a low ceiling. The air was thick with the smell of mildew and decay, and the only light source was a small, flickering candle in the corner. The flickering of the candle cast eerie shadows across the walls, making it difficult to see clearly.
In the center of the room, a woman in her beautiful white wedding dress was tied up with ropes that surrounded her body, cutting deep into her skin. Her skin was pale and her face gaunt due to not having eaten anything for a week. Her head hang low as cry her heart out , with tears falling down her face like a waterfall. Her white dress was stained with her own blood, which had been splattered across the front of her dress, revealing the torture she had endured.
Her cries quietened as she heard the creaking of the door opening, followed by the sound of footsteps entering the room. As the footsteps drew closer, the woman's body trembled with fear and exhaustion. Her eyes remained closed, unable to muster the strength to open them. She could sense someone's presence in the room, standing over her like a looming shadow.
With a sudden jolt, the ropes that bound her were released, and she collapsed onto the cold, hard ground. The woman let out a weak **** as she lay there, unable to move her weakened body. The figure above her remained silent, watching her with cold, unfeeling eyes.
Slowly, the woman forced herself to look up at her captor, her eyes filled with fear and hatred.
Amy Kennedy, her beloved cousin and sister with whom she had played since childhood, stood arrogantly in front of her broken self. A smile full of wickedness spread across her face as she looked down at the weak and helpless woman. Dressed in an expensive designer suit, she looked every inch the wealthy and powerful woman that she was.
Her captor's eyes gleamed with a sadistic pleasure as she looked down at her, relishing in her pain and suffering. Her lips curled into a cruel smile as she spoke, her voice dripping with malice.
"Well, well, well, Dear Isabella" she said, her voice low and menacing. "Look at you now. Broken and defeated." Isabella could only stare up at her cousin, filled with a mix of fear and hatred. She couldn't understand how someone she had loved and trusted could be so cruel and heartless.
She heard a loud, deep voice full of authority that made Amy flinch and step back. "Amy!! I told you not to come here? What are you doing here?" Her Uncle Jasper spoke with commanding tone.
Amy stuttered, "F-father, I--"
Amy, darling, your father means you shouldn't be here. You should prepare for your honeymoon, darling. You just got married, and you have to pack and fly tonight. Don't waste your time here. Go, you have a lot of preparations to do," her captor, Amy's mother, her Aunt Rosy, said with a loving tone.
Amy glared at Isabella before walking out. As soon as Amy left, Isabella felt two hands harshly pull her body up and throw her onto a chair. Isabella grunted.
As Isabella sat in the chair, she could feel the bruises on her body ache and throb with pain. She looked up to see her aunt's cold gaze fixated on her, How could someone who had once been a loving figure in her life turn into a monster?
The man, so called uncle leaned in closer to Isabella, his breath reeking of alcohol. She could feel his hot breath on her face, and the stench made her nauseous. She tried to push him away, but her weakened state prevented her from doing so.
"Are you willing to sign the papers now?" he repeated, his voice growing more impatient.
Isabella glared at him with her red, teary eyes, feeling a mix of anger and fear. "I will never sign anything for you," she spat.
The man's expression darkened, and he grabbed Isabella's hair, yanking her head back. "Listen here, girl. You don't have much time left. If this continues, you will not make it through tomorrow. But once you sign these papers, I promise you no one will touch you. You can live safely. You will be under our protection."
Isabella felt even more disgusted in the man's presence. The man who had killed her parents was now talking about her protection as if he cared about her well-being. She felt a surge of anger and spat in the man's face. "**** off!" she shouted, only to receive a hard slap across her cheek. She felt blood in her mouth.
"This *****," her Aunt Rosy spoke with venom in her voice. Suddenly, a smirk appeared on her face, and she said something to the man in black beside her. He walked in front of Isabella with an iPad and showed her the current news.
Isabella's eyes widened as she looked at the iPad's headline: "Oliver Kennedy, the sole heir of Kennedy Industries, killed his parents for ownership of the property." She felt a cold shiver run down her spine as Her big brother was now all over the news for all the wrong reasons.
The man holding the iPad spoke again, "As you can see, no one can help you now. Your last hope for escape, your dear brother, was arrested last night. But we are willing to make a deal. Sign over the rights to your company to us, and we'll let you and your brother go."
The reality of her situation hit Isabella hard. Her brother, whom she had always looked up to, was now a murderer and she was being used as leverage for her company.
Jasper grabbed Isabella's hair again as she hissed in pain and made her look at him " You have five minutes to think. Sign the damp papers or you will loose the last family you have left."
Isabella's body felt drained as she stared at the metal pen in her hand, her emotions in turmoil. She couldn't bear the sight of her brother's face on the screen, labeled as a murderer. Anger and determination coursed through her veins as she glared at her uncle and aunt.
"You may have won this battle, but I will make sure to win the war. I'll take back everything from you, one by one, until there's nothing left. You'll beg for mercy, but I won't give you any. You'll suffer a thousand times over, and I'll make sure you feel every single ounce of pain you've inflicted upon my family. Mark my words," she said, her voice laced with venom as she signed the papers, her hands still shaking.
As soon as Isabella signed the papers, she felt a sharp blow to the head. Her scream echoed in the room as she heard her aunt and uncle laugh.
"You foolish girl! Do you really think you can outsmart us and live to see another day?" Rosy sneered, taking the documents from Isabella's trembling hands and turning to her husband. "My dear, we are now billionaires. Congratulations," she said, hugging him tightly.
Jasper grinned with satisfaction. "Finally, we have everything we wanted," he said, turning to his henchmen. "Dispose of her body in the ocean. Make sure no one ever finds out."
Isabella's world went black as she collapsed to the ground, the last thing she heard being the cruel laughter of her aunt and uncle.
"This is no time to celebrate, Mr. and Mrs. Kennedy. We still have a threat lingering above our heads," a deep voice rang out as the figure strode into the dungeon. His words were laced with a sense of warning, a reminder of the imminent danger. The sound of his footsteps echoed throughout the room as he stepped into the light, wearing a navy blue three-piece suit with a million-dollar watch adorned on his wrist. He walked arrogantly towards them, his gaze piercing and calculating, sending shivers down their spines. The atmosphere was tense as he stood before them, his presence commanding attention and respect.
He surveyed the room with a critical eye, taking the in the scene before him. Isabella lay on the floor, unconscious, while the kennedys stood over her with smug expressions.
"This deal may have given you control of Kennedy Industries, but you should not forget Oliver kennedy is more powerful then his father."
Jasper and rosy Kennedy laughed, "Don't worry, son Blair. We have already taken care of it. I have hired the sharpest hunter, and he will be dead by now," Rosy said with a smirk.
Blair's expression remained cold and unimpressed. "He escaped"
Rosy's smile faltered, replaced by a scowl. "What do you mean, he escaped?"
Blair's gaze remained fixed on his mother-in- law. "I mean exactly that. The hunter you hired failed, and Oliver has managed to escape"
"What can he do. Now we have the company and his sister in our hand. He is not that much of threat." Jasper spoke.
Blair's expression remained unchanged as he listened to his foolish father-in-law "I'm afraid it won't be that simple. Oliver is smart, resourceful, and determined. He won't go down without a fight."
Rosy's face twisted in anger and fear, her fists clenched. "I won't let that little brat ruin everything we've built," she snarled. "We'll find him, and we'll make sure he never sees the light of day again."
Blair rolled his eyes , he eye landed on Isabella, twisted expression was illuminated by the dim light as he knelt before his unconscious ex-fiancé. His hand stroked her hair with a sense of possession, almost like a psychopath. "I am sorry, darling," he whispered, his voice laced with malice. "If only your parents had agreed to give 30% of their company share, you would have been my wife by now. It's not your fault, it's your parents, darling. As the ancient book says, the fruit of a father's deeds is always borne by their sons and daughters."
Mrs. Rosy scoffed, shouting at her men. "What are you waiting for? Tie her up and throw her!" The men immediately got to work, grabbing ropes and binding Isabella's hands and feet. They cover her eyes and pushed a cloth in her mouth. Mrs. Rosy looked down at isabella with disgust before turning away, her attention already to walk out.
Two men picked up Isabella's unconscious body and swiftly carried her out of the dungeon and towards the helipad. The urgency in their movements was palpable, and their faces remained stoic as they carefully loaded her body onto the helicopter's seat. They couldn't risk anyone seeing the act, and as soon as Isabella was securely fastened, the helicopter took off, disappearing into the night sky.
As the helicopter flew over the dark, choppy ocean, Isabella's body lay motionless in the seat. The moon shone down on her, casting an eerie glow on her pale skin. The men opened the door of the helicopter and looked down at the deep, dark ocean below, checking for any ships that might be passing by.
When they found the coast clear, the men looked at each other with a sense of determination and coldness. Without any hesitation, they picked up Isabella's body and threw her into the ocean. As she sank deeper into the abyss, it was unclear if she would ever resurface again.
The helicopter flew away, disappearing into the night, leaving Isabella's fate uncertain
