Nate pov.....>

I forget how many loan sharks I had borrowed from by now and I still didn't pay them back.

They sent these morons who gave themselves out with their flashy clothes and dark sunglasses all the time so i knew how to avoid or run away from them.

It was probably why I have a lean body from all the running i did.

If they caught me then it was game over for me and I just could not let that happen yet...

There was no point in running towards my apartment so I was chased for a good ten minutes through abandoned alleyways amd other place that had no people around.

I knew my ways around the streets but man was this exhausting and painful.

My feet felt like I was stepping on lava and my chest feels tight from my heavy breathing.

Having no real food in my stomach only made it worse since I always felt nausea and sick when i stopped running.

I hid inside a park bathroom and stepped on the top of the disgusting toilet so my feet wouldn't be seen as I tried my best to ease my hard breathing.

The pounding in my heart let me know how hard my heart beating from all the running and fear I felt for not wanting to get caught and possibly tortured by these men for the money i did not have.

" fu*k, that son of a bi*ch got away again.! Our boss going to kill us for sure this time." the echo of the guy was heard outside the public toilet i was hiding in, causing me to almost slip from my spot but i put hands on the wall of the stall to keep myself from falling.

it was overwhelming anxiety to have to wait and see if they went away or come back to check again inside.

" I can't run anymore man.. he's too fast and we lost him.! What are we going to do!?" My worst fear come true when their voices got closer and louder when their heavy footsteps entered this nasty bathroom.

I held my breathes for a couple of time then let out as short breathes since I couldn't hold it anymore.

i saw their shoes walked by the stall I was in and luckily they only check to see legs but didn't bother to check inside completely.

Their stupidity saved me.

" we have to report it regardless. let's go before we get unwanted attention."

I let out a shaky breath of sigh then waited a good ten minutes before stepping down from the toilet , being caution when i left the bathroom.

There was no way I am going to go to work now since I was late and most likely fired already.

I rushed to leave and was caution that no one was following me as I run back home.

I live in a rundown apartment in an even worse shitty apartment complex where the rooms were occupied by individuals that had seen negativity of outside world and were down on their luck too.

I went up to the stairs to the second floor and passed through the apartment rooms until I got to mine.

I heard a loud music , arguing and other obnoxious noises echoing throughout this small area muffled in these rooms.

I unlocked my door and had no time to react when I was brutally grabbed then put in a choke hold.

The cold feeling of a gun being pointed to the side of my head made me curse at the world.

Sh*t

It was more guys sent from the loan shark or some intruder.

Either way, I was fu*ked.

The one holding me with his big hand around my holding a gun on my head was far from kind as his grip felt like he was ready to snap my neck anytime.

i honestly wasn't afraid to die but it would be an inconvenient for sure.

This man resembling Hulk with his strength closed the door shut while i notice what a mess my tiny kitchen and living room now was as another stranger dressed in all black was appeared from my bedroom with an axe.

I was truly hoping and praying it was only going to be used for intimating.

These guys were new and not the ones i manage to escape from awhile ago so I don't have any idea who their boss was but that was quickly answered when my eyes landed on him when he stepped out of my room next with the little money I had hidden.

It was like I had stopped breathing for few seconds as my brain kept screaming at me how we had truly fucked up if he was here in person.

My fear kept increasing when two other men followed with face masks covering their faces except their emotionless eyes.

One was dress in all black suit while the other was in a white one.

i heard they were both expert in killing and making people suffer without any evidence behind.

Professional assassins for sure ...

They were referred to as ' dark and white demons ' that follow him wherever he went.

"No wonder you keep running around like some rat. This is just pathetic. it's makes me wants to actually donate you." the young mysterious, polished man spoke as i swallowed hard when I kept thinking about all the rumours I heard about him.

He was called a son of a viper for a reason in these streets and everyone knows why.

His father is a bloodthirsty loan shark that had no problem on lending money to anyone who asked but it is like signing a deal with the devil since he wouldn't hold back from doing cruel and gruesome punishments to those who didn't repay him.

It doesn't matter what's your age, gender, status, race you were nor what sad story you had.

He would get back what was his and attack like a viper injecting all the poison in his victims with no regret or remorse.

He was known as ' Mister S ' who sent his son when someone like me kept hiding out for years since his son is just as relentless in getting back his money.

His name was kai, this spoiled brat is only nineteen but that never stopped him from following his father's footsteps.

kai was no doubt an attractive guy with his black , thick hair jelled back and his dark eyes that could easily intimidate someone to stares away as quickly as possible when making eye contact.

Not to mention he have a deep dimple on each of his cheek and had a tall figure that prove he work out and wasn't afraid to get his hands dirty.

He wore expensive suit that tailored specifically for him while his shoes polished to perfection as an all gold watch rested on his wrist.

However, he had a clear scar under his eyes but it's just added to his attractiveness.

I heard these similar comments from many females and even males around this apartment complex but seeing him as a person was whole different level.

they avoided making deals with him and his father but here i am , paying to the consequences for not listening to what people said..

But I was left no other choice , i needed this money.

"Thank you for coming back to earth." this rude kid said while snapping his fingers infront of my face.

" give me a few more days and i will pay you back." i tried to negotiate and holding onto the rough hand still around my neck that it made it hard to even speak properly.

Kai let out a mocking chuckled and threw my money on floor like it was nothing." please amuse me , how are you , who lives in a dump like this, going to payback ten thousand dollars by tomorrow?not even you sold your *** to other men would you be able to accomplish that. Why don't we just settle this now and let me cut off your arm and both legs. I believe it's a fair trade." he approached me and made the other guy with an axe force my arm out.

Panic immediately set in as I naturally tried to get away even though I was trapped but everything he said was true.

there was no way i am getting that money anytime soon with the little I made from minimum wage jobs i could get.

If I lose my legs and arm, it will be even more difficult.

"Kill me instead."i begged instead which made kai glare at me with his cold eyes that were warning me he was ready to see blood.

" i would rather see you suffer." he shuts me down And for a moment I thought i was going to lose my limbs until his phone began to ring.

He deeply exhaled and took out his phone from his inner suit pocket and answered the phone with a quick and annoyed " what ? I am working."

I faintly heard the female voice on the other end speaking but Kai just rolled his eyes at what she was saying.

" if he's feeling sick call his pediatrician, other than that I am not going to be home for the next few days so stop calling me unless it's truly an emergency." he hanged up without a care and messed up his fixed hair when he ran his fingers through it.

He focused back on me and was silent for a moment like he was thinking about what to do.

I couldn't help feeling small under his chilling spine glare that inspected me from head to toe.

it was difficult to believe I was four years older than him and here he was deciding what to do with my life.

" Release him." he ordered that giant thing still holding me.

I rubbed my sore neck as kai stares " I will pick you up here tomorrow at 5 in the afternoon." leaving me dumbfounded not knowing what he meant.

He took his time walking towards the door only to snap his fingers without turning back.

I instantly gasping for air as i was punched and beaten to the floor where several kicks have me shielding my body with my hands until it was all over.

I was left in painful coughs as kai stood there watching with his arms crossed." that's only a taste for what awaits you if i don't see you here tomorrow." he finished threatening and left out of the door.

His minions followed shortly behind him, leaving me bloody mess on my own apartment floor.

i forced myself up and made sure they were gone.

My next door neighbour, Miss Lisa, opened her door and wasn't seem happy about all the loud noises.

She had thick glasses that made her eyes looked wide and obviously too big for her wrinkled face.

Her flowery gown almost reached her fluffy slippers as she walked closer to me.

" What is it with all the fighting? can't an old women watch a boxing match in peace ?" she complaint as her small barking dog appears as well.

" i apologise Miss Lisa, it seems i get myself into trouble with a loan shark and was face to face with the viper's son." i quickly answered and wiped at my bloody nose.

Miss Lisa's face turned into sour expression with the mention of kai and his father then understand why i have bloody nose and a complete mess.

"This boy is a replica, if not worse, of that greedy Sinister man. I heard they yanked out all teeth of a woman that lives around here who owes them money. Poor girl hasn't been the same since then." she grumbled in disgust.

I wiped my nose and didn't feel better hearing this story, specially since i don't know what the hell was waiting for me tomorrow.

Then I saw kai coming back up the stairs without his two followers as he came to stand infront of us with his menacing stare and a very dominant presence.

I feared he returned just to cut me up and not to be bothered by me anymore.

" leave him alone! he's a good man who tries to work hard to make it on his own without anyone's help ! He doesn't deserve your crap !" Miss Lisa defended me which i highly appreciate but I did not want her to get involved.

" don't make me kill your dog." was all kai has to say to make miss lisa rushing back to her apartment with her little chihuahua in her hands.

" I only came back because I wanted to let you know that I was informed about something that might make you think twice about escaping from me. You have a sister name penelop who lives far from here. If you decided to run away i won't come after you anymore. Instead your sister will take your place and I will make my mission to track her down. I will personally stained my own hands with her blood while i slices her throat wide open. Understood?" kai held no emotions on his face nor in his eyes as his dark eyes did not leave my eyes as he spoke those dark horrid words.

Fear swept through me as horrible waves as i was well aware he kept his promises.

" yes..." i response, receiving a content look from him.

" good." he turned around and walked away.

The urge to punch at his taunting handsome face was itching at me but I had to stay calm as I watch him leave.

this was indeed one of the shittiest day ever....
