The wind gushed in through the window, Katherine whimpered a little as she felt her little body warming up. The fever had still not left her body. She kept releasing cold sweat and it was all over her skin. She had no one to look after her, why? Cause she was a female child of her egoistic father. Her mother could do nothing to provide her with love and care her brothers received. And yet she proudly claimed to be her husband's other half.
Benevolence, love, mercy, and much more was lacking in her perfect family. She has been wearing this perfect smile in front of the world, and here she was, shivering from a disease which was provided with no cure, no care. She barely was able to utter words and has been lying on her bed for two days now. Her breath hitched when she felt the door of her room creek and suddenly a hand strangled her as she tried her hardest to escape.
"Mother!" Katherine let's out a scream as she realizes that all she saw was her past, all collected into episodes of nightmare. They never leave a chance to make her feel vulnerable. Her train of thoughts was disturbed when she was pulled into a hug, warmth of a man embracing her. She felt her breathing slow down and almost becoming inaudible.
"What bothers you, Katherine?" He bushes his fingers against her bare back, trailing all the marks he made that previous night. Those purple and red patches on her skin were like roses to his timeless secret garden. He leans further to kiss her shoulder before making her face him.
"It was a nightmare, I do not remember much of it now that I am sober." Katherine says as she gazed directly into his blue eyes. Her eyes held fear, but her face bore the expressions of a youthful lover. He pulls her into a kiss, hovering over her as she leans back, her lips locked with his, as they shared a passionate kiss. His hands were on her hips, pulling her closer and closer if possible.
They were again absorbed into each other, their gazes never leaving sights. Katherine loved what she had and what she was getting. Her thoughts were fogged to recognize what was wrong and what was not. It was the same for her, to tell sooth, she felt this every time. She remembers the touches still, her memories not wishing to be left by.
"Charles, I have a direful past."
"Fear not princess, for so do I."
He tangles his hands with her and continues to love her in every way possible.
The sun was yet to seek through the skies, the birds were yet to sing their song. These two naive youths were yet to be faced with buring passions and glory, their hearts were yet to be turned over and be overthrown by loveless nights. What waits for them in future might change with a roll of dice.
