Feelings

What do you think happened? There was a time when she trusted people blindly without thinking of the consequences. She could make friends easily. But this was the time when she hesitated a thousand times whether to trust anyone or not. The person she wants to trust, is a good person or not.

She replied to the text. "Let's see what does he want" was all she could think of. At for it was a normal conversation. Coincidentally they had same names. Things gradually started to change as they texted each other occasionally. She was hesitant and was always cold to him. But he was a patient man who waited for her to get comfortable with him. Later he started to flirt with her. She was used to people flirting with her, so she ignored that, and eventually they became friends. He developed feelings for her without even noticing. One day he confessed his feelings to her saying," I want to hold onto your hands and keep you safe in my arms forever. Let's walk side by side. Let's grow old together enjoying our life with each other. I love you". She rejected. She didn't want to get into any relationship because of the experiences. Relationship became a trauma for her. Whenever someone mentions being in relationship she just gets depressed and reminded of the past. He understood her well. Never forced her to accept his love. They took a break, and she realized that she also had developed some feelings for him, but she didn't want to admit it. She never wanted to face the same things again. Being in relationship, it was like getting trapped in a cage forever. She has just gotten her freedom, how could she lose it just because of her feelings. The way he treated her how could she not fall for him. She kept her feelings to herself not revealing it to anyone.

One day she finally took the courage to text him again. They started talking again. The more she talked to him the harder she fell. But still she didn't want to accept the fact that she's in love with him. She was being selfish by not telling him about her feelings and keeping him in confusion. She told him not to expect anything from her but she herself couldn't control her feelings being shown. He asked her directly whether she loves him or not, whether he should wait for her or not. She wasn't brave enough to answer the questions and ignored them. He said it's okay if she doesn't like him they could just be friends but because of her mixed signals he was confused. He was trying really hard to keep her by his side and kept confessing his love occasionally. The more they talked the more she knew about him. She was able to trust him blindly. But because of the past experiences she always hesitated to express her feelings. She was afraid. What if this love of his will again become toxic and hurt her feelings.
