Kris'POV

-A While Ago-

"Kris... there's an emergency" He said in a worried tone with a face telling that he really got a big problem.

"What the hell do I care about your emergency?" I turned around.

"Because Kris, my father is back." He said.

"Then—"

"We're both dead." He added.

"Why also me? Do you want me to die soon?" I frowned.

"Kris, my father and my whole family already knew about us." He said.

Why the news spread too fast? It's more faster than my internet. Is he some big shot?

I thought deeply, why I got involved onto this.

"My family holds a welcome back party tonight, I'll introduce you to them." He held my both hands and begged with his face.

I taked my hands away.

"Say what?! Are you serious about me? Look at me, hundred percent straight man, hundred percent handsome and hundred percent not for men!" I said in a serious and full confidence.

"We're only going to pretend. If I won't introduce you to them, then the wedding will continue." He pouted.

"Then why me?" I asked while pointing myself.

"Because you're the only one I saw that night." He said in a proud face. He smiled.

Am I that so unlucky that I sat beside him?

I gulped when I think of his family look like... strict, serious face, look like they always looking for fights or they will kill you with just a glare. Are they going to murder me? Are they also tall?

Many thoughts came up..

"Kris please, they'll find you everywhere if you didn't come" He begged.

"No" I flatly refused.

"Please, please..."

And this guy kept on begging

-Present-

I'm tired of saying no so I just agreed to him and here I am now.. and I didn't expect that his house is so damn big. Now I know why I felt familiar after hearing his name.

He's the youngest son of the Parsons family; a strong and rich family background in the city.

Did I just get a big fish in the sea?

"Let's go honey." He put my hand on his arm and walked through the aisle and all eyes are on us.

I just gulped thinking what would happen to me when I enter the Amazon's mansion.

"I think the wedding is cancelled."

"So it was a boy whom he choose."

"Who's that boy?"

People are gossiping.

Go on, talk about me...

The people's topic are all about us.

I really want to punch their faces but I don't want to ruin my beautiful suit, so no thanks... And there's too many visitors here.

"Honey, let them be." Kai whispered at me.

"I know."

What's he's problem calling me honey all the time.

"Later, you will meet my whole family." He reminded me.

"I know."

"We're just going to pretend as a real couples." He added.

Why this guy is so talkative? He keep on reminding me. Does he think I'm stupid?!

I unconsciously pouted..

He smirked and suddenly kissed my cheek.

"Shit."

We're in the public, you idiot! What do you think you're doing?!

I wiped my cheek as if I'm disgusted by it.

Hmp! Is that part of our act?!

I glared at him.. but he just smiled at me.

Minutes later, the king arrives with queen and with the three princes and a princess...

I mean the Parsons family...

Along with them are the family of Cindy.

The surroundings suddenly filled with tense or it's just me feeling it? It's look like going into the battlefield.

Wait a minute, why I'm doing here again? Oh right.. I was just passing by.. Ha-ha-ha... I think I need to go...?

"Honey, where are you going? Kai asked when I stepped back.

"Huh? Um.. exercising?" My excused.

Gosh! Why I'm sweating this much? Looks like the place become hottier.

"Kai Evan Parsons." Kai's dad called him with his full name.

We're now in front of his family.

"Welcome back dad." Kai's greeted.

Kai looked at me and suddenly held my hand in front of them.

"Honey, this is my dad and mom. My three older brothers and my younger sister."

Now I know why this guy look like an Amazon.

The eldest brother Zach Parsons, the second brother Julius Parsons and the third brother Yohan Parsons and the younger sister Nana Parsons.

"...and allow me to introduce to you my boyfriend, Kris."

They all looked at me but still remained silent.

Are they expecting me to talk?

I cleared my throat and gathered all my confidence but when misfortune hits you and fears leads.

I suddenly bent down and bowed at them and accidentally raised my voice.

"MY NAME IS KRISSETH JI, 27 YEARS OLD. I'M GLAD TO MEET YOU MA'AM AND SIRS!"

"Pfft." Kai chuckled.

I'm really going to kill you Amazon. He just laughed at me.

Kai approached me with his face and whispered again.

"Calm down, honey." Kai whispered again.

I felt ticklish in my ear.

Why does this always do that?

I glimpsed at Cindy's face and saw the loneliness on her face.

Don't blame me! This Amazon is the one who bring it up.

"So Krisseth..." His father started.

"What do you have for my son to like you and for us to recognize you?"

What's this, interview? Wait, where's my resumé.

"Are you rich?" His brother continued.

Rich? I'm broke.

"Do you have that knowledge? Genius?"

The important is I graduated.

"Are you champion on somewhat game?

"Are you..."

Shit, I don't understand what their talking.. my head is spinning..

"I LOVE YOUR SON!" I boldly answered and everyone become quite. I only heard my heart beat, beating so fast.

I want to vanish now...

Why that's the one came out of my mouth?!!

"Pfft." Kai chuckled again.

And here he is again,.. he just laughed at me. I wish the ground will swallow me.

"Ehem" his father cleared his throat.

"How bold of you." His father added.

"Hehe, youngsters these days.." his mother giggle.

"Oh right, these are the Yin family. And this is Cindy, Kai's fiance." His mother added.

I looked at Cindy but she's looking at Kai and his siblings got no expression at all.

"We're going to meet the other visitors, we'll go now." His mother said.

They're off to meet others now. I never thought going into the battlefield is isn't easy.

When they're gone, I finally breathed in relief.

"I need to meet someone. I'll be back." Kai said.

I just nodded.

Finally! All by myself. And all these delicious food in the table are all mine.

I'm only one in the table so I started eating.

I can finally relax...

"Krisseth."

..or not..

Cindy approached me and I almost choked.

"I won't give up." She said.

I saw desperation on her face and willingness to her voice.

"I've been in love with Kai for a long time so it's not easy for me to just give up." She said.

Tears gathered in her eyes.

"Cin—"

"And... I'm not here to say to you to end your relationship with Kai. I just want to fight for him fairly. So I will do anything Krisseth and do your best too so he will not be stolen by others."

"Ok".. I immediately agreed.

That's what I want too, you know. I can even give him to you for free.

"Can you breath fir—"

"Fair and square!" She interrupted.

And she left while her cheeks are red. That's what I said to breathe first. She said all of those while not breathing.

Well, I think she's not that bad.. I guess?

Why don't Kai just marry her? Even celebrities can't refuse her and this Kai is so picky.

"What are you thinking?"

Speaking of the Amazon.

"To choke you until you die." I answered.

"Don't tell me... You already fall in love with me Kris? And you want to kill me so I can be all yours?"

"In your dreams." I rolled my eyes.

It was already late at night when the party ended. Here we are, inside Kai's car.

I already told him, no need to sent me home.. but he insisted.

"So Amazon.." I started..

"Me?" He asked.

Who else can be an Amazon here?!

"Yes, you... I wanted to ask, what would I get that I already helped you." I asked.

It's so unfair, I helped him without anything in return. There's no free in world, you know.

"Do you how much I suffered earlier. It look like entered a war and fought the royals. It makes my heart broken.." I acted like a drama queen.. and started to faked cry.

"You can get my credit card." He passed his credit card to me.

"Do you think, I love money?!" I angrily said while secretly putting the credit into my pocket.

"What do you want Kris?" He asked.

"I want to eat." I answered with a straight face.

I haven't finished all my foods earlier. Enemies are everywhere. It loses my appetite.

-Barbeque House-

"Uncle, two orders from us."

I was the first one entered next is Kai.

"Ouch" Kai complained.

"Amazon! Look where you going."

I went straight in and this guy also did so he got knocked his forehead on the door and it's telling me I should accept the difference between people, specially in height.

We sat at the corner while facing each other and the food in the table.

"Kris."

"Yes?" I replied while holding the barbeque sticks in both hands.

"Why do you want to eat here? I know many restaurants, why don't we book a reservation now?"

I finished first the food before answering him.

"Duh.. it's cheap here and the food is delicious. You can save your money." I answered.

"But—"

"Shhh,.. First thing I hate is when someone is disturbing me while eating so shut your mouth for awhile." Then I continued eating.

He listened to me and remained silent.

"Right, I realized.. Kai, are still studying? I think you're too young to get married. What's the relationship between your family and the family of Cindy? And is your family good?" I asked.

I asked him many questions but he didn't answer.

"Hey!" I tried to call him while snapping my fingers at him.

"Hey Amazon! I'm talking to you! Are you listening?"

He really ignored me!

"You—" and I just realized...

"You can talk now." I said in defeated tone.

"Yes kris, .. I'm still studying. We need to marry early so the title of the family names can be secured. Our parents are partners for a long time and if you're asking if my family is good.. yes, they're good but just don't make them angry." And smiled.

He literally followed what I said.

I just face palm.

"What about you, Kris?"

"What?" I asked.

"Where's your family? Your mother Or father? Or your siblings?" He asked.

Family?

"I don't have one." I looked down.

"If that's the case.."

He held my both hand causing people to look at us.

What this guy thinking?

"From now on.. I will be your family." He smiled.

And that smiled again. My cheeks feels hot. Tell me, am I being weird?
