Chapter 2 - "Sold"

"Don't tell me you didn't know this house was sold?" ask Regina to Jake

"Sold?" replied Jake shocked

"Well, it's sold, aren't you and her neighbors, you should know, especially since she's your former patient." said Regina to Jake

"I didn't know anything after I last met her, the next day I left for training abroad, and didn't contact her anymore." said Jake to Regina shocked

"What kind of psychiatrist like you has no sympathy at all, this is no longer her house, can you give me any information about her, I'll try to contact her?" ask Regina once again to Jake

"You can't ask for patient information, our hospital prioritizes patient personal information." replied Jake then leaving

"Regina, I found something, try coming up here." shouted David from second floor balcony to Regina

After going upstairs, it turned out there was a room that had not been renovated by the new owner, a room filled with old items.

"Look at all the remains of the previous owner that have not been thrown away." said David handing Regina gloves

"That's right, all of this seems to be a long time ago, try checking, who knows, maybe there's a clue, right?" said Regina to David wearing the gloves

David was unpacking the contents of the room, there were lots of cardboard boxes, one by one they were opened and taken out.

"Regina, take a look at this." said David found out something

"What, did you find something?" ask Regina walked towards David curious

David shows a photo in a frame of two twin girls, one is silent, and the other is smiling.

"Twins, it seems there were twins who once lived here." said David handing the photo to Regina getting up after squatting to look around

"Is there anything else you got?" ask Regina to David curious

"There are so many photos of these twins in here, you think all their memory albums are left here." said David showing the box to Regina

"Hmm, then let's secure these items first, who knows they might be important, then we'll continue looking for other items." said Regina to David

"I think I've seen this face before, but I forgot where." said David to Regina looking at the photo

"You know them?" ask Regina to David stare at him

"No, but her face is familiar, like I've seen her before, but I don't know where." replied David to Regina

"Is their surname Lu?" ask Regina to David

"That's right, Miss Lu, Esther Lu, that's her name, but does she have twins, as far as I remember, in the information data, she was an only child." said David finally remembered who was in the photo

"Esther Lu, I saw Jake mention her name earlier, does she have any connection to the police too?" ask Regina curios

"She was involved in the mysterious attempted murder case months ago, but there was no strong evidence, so we couldn't arrest her." replied David to Regina

"She was also a patient of Jake, your ex, according to the information we got about her, she had memory loss, and had just recovered from that." said David to Regina

"It seems like she was complicated, we'll secure it first, and look for another place first." said Regina to David walked out

After that they looked around in several places, and they didn't find anything strange at all, that's when Regina told David that she would start a ritual.

"Are you sure?" ask David to Regina looking concern

"Yes, I want to try it. This isn't the first time I've done this, but it's been a long time." replied Regina to David

"Make sure no one disturbs, I'll start in a minute." said Regina going into a room and starting place ritual things that she brought

"Alright David, I'm starting." shouted Regina to David

"East wind, West wind, North door, South door, open the way and light for these spirits or souls." said Regina started to close her eyes

Inside she saw a woman crying in a hospital gown, and sitting face down in the dark.

"Excuse me, who are you?" ask Regina to the spirit walking towards to it

"Please help me, I've been trapped in here for so long." said the spirit crying for help

"Since when have you been trapped, and what should I do for you so that you can leave peacefully and not disturb the owner of this house?" ask Regina to the spirit

"No I'm not dead, I don't know how long I've been trapped here, seems like months, please help me." said the spirit to her

When Regina approached to see who she was, she was shocked that she was one of the twin girls she had seen.

"Are you one of the twins?" ask Regina shocked stepped back

"Please, I beg you, I heard they want to do a soul exchange ritual with me, please help me, whoever you are." said the spirit then disappears

"Where are you, and what's your name, hey?" shouted Regina opened her eyes

After that Regina came out a little stunned and walked to David who was sitting near the living room sofa who had fallen asleep.

"David..., David..., wake up the ritual is finished." whispers Regina wakes David up

The sky was starting to get dark, finally Regina and David returned to the police station.

...Police Station...

"So what do you see when you do the ritual?" ask David standing beside a coffee machine at police station

"A woman was crying, and when I saw she was one of the twins from the photo, was she Esther?" replied Regina standing between to David staring at the coffee machine

"Esther, I think there is something strange about that photo, I will try to find out whether the photo is edited or real." replied David to Regina sipping his coffee

"She asked for my help, and I don't know how to help her, I don't know if she is actually Esther or not, and is she dead?" ask Regina to David
