Chapter 3 - "Twins"

"She asked for my help, and I don't know how to help her, I don't know if she is actually Esther or not, and is she dead?" ask Regina to David

"What do you see besides that?" ask David to Regina curious

"I didn't see anything, but what I noticed was that she was wearing a hospital patient's uniform, was she a spirit who died from illness or a spirit who was really trapped?"

"Mark, is your case finished?" ask David suddenly to Mark smiled

"What case, how come you lost track of it?" ask Regina to Mark curious

"2 months ago, we received a missing person report, and we started searching and tracking with the evidence we got, but at that time we lost track of her, so this case is now cold." replied Mark

"But that person has something to do with the car accident on the main toll road that day, we began from there, but all lost when we're trying to track at a hospital."

At that time Regina accidentally dropped a photo belonging to the twins, and Mark saw it and helped pick it up.

"This is a photo of the person I'm talking about, Esther Lu." said Mark pointing the photo to them

Regina and David heard that and were so shocked that they were stunned. They looked at each other and realized they had just helped Mark open the way to the cold case.

"How come you guys have her photo, and there are two of her?" ask Mark shocked

"I think they are twins." said Regina to Mark

"Twins, but her personal information says she is an only child." said Mark to Regina

"I said it before, I think this photo could have been photoshopped." said David to Regina

"Hmm, at this point I think the person who knows the most about this is none other than..."

It turns out that Regina set off to find information about Esther Lu, the mysterious missing woman.

"Are you sure this will work?" whispers David to Regina with a walkie talkie inside the car

"Trust me." replied Regina to David after rang the housebell

"So what do you want to come here for, another contact number?" ask Jake opening his door for Regina

"Police, hope you can cooperate, Mr. Yang." said Regina showed her license to Jake, then walked inside

"What do you want to find out, detective Liu?" ask Jake playing along

Regina showed Jake the twin photo, Jake took the photo, and he just stood there and looked at the photo.

"Answer honestly do you know them?" said Regina showed the photo to him, and started voice recording with her phone

"That's Ellen and that one is Esther." said Jake sighed and pointing them at tshephoto

"So tsheother one is called Ellen, what do you know about them?” ask Regina to Jake

"That's all I know, I don't know anything else." replied Jake to Regina gave her back the photo

"Are you sure Mr Yang, based on the latest investigation, she has a mental disorder, and also memory loss, as well as trying to attempted murder her own best friend?" ask Regina pointing the photo at Jake

"I think you must be curious about where she's, right, I was too, based on the results of our examination, she had an accident 2 months ago, and after that she disappeared and was never seen again." said Regina to Jake

Hearing this, Jake looked very stunned, as well as shocked, because Esther disappeared so suddenly.

"Accident, disappeared, how could that be?" ask Jake stunned

"Of course anything can happen, if you want to know where she is please cooperate with us." said Regina to him

After a while, Jake finally agreed to cooperate in the investigation of finding the truth about Esther that's gone missing.

"So what is your relationship with Miss Lu?" ask Regina to him

"She was my first patient when I worked at the hospital, and the current patient too." replied Jake to Regina searching for something in his drawer

"Was she the previous owner of the house?" ask Regina to Jake

"Yes, she often comes here to look for her lost memories." replied Jack

As he walked closer he gave some identifying information about Ellen and Esther.

"This is actually private information, but to find out Esther's whereabouts I will help you." said Jake handing the file to Regina

After that Regina read the file, she was a bit shocked because it didn't make sense.

"What does this file mean?" ask Regina to Jake lift the file confused

“Esther is Ellen, and the dead Ellen is the real Esther." replied Jake to Regina

"Does that mean they are twins with swapped identities?" ask Regina looking very confused

"Shortly, yes." replied Jake to Regina

"So how come you know, but you don't report it to the police?" ask Regina to Jake stunned in disbelief

"Because it's none of my business, my job is just a psychiatrist, my job is only to treat patients, not to expose the patient's identity." replied Jake to Regina coldly

"Do you have any updates on her, have you contacted her family?" ask Jake to Regina

"There's no new information, but last time it was said there was an accident, so she should have been in the hospital, but she's no longer there." replied Regina

"We have contacted and visited the family, but they have not been at home from 2 weeks before Miss Lu disappeared until today." replied Regina

After gathering the information, Regina finally finished and ended the investigation with Jake. She was about to leave, but Jake called her from behind.

"If you have any information regarding him, please let me know." said Jake to Regina following her

"Why do you look so worried about her?" ask Regina gave him a smirk

"I don't know, it's just that I feel like I have to know about her, because she is also one of my patients." replied Jake to Regina
