Ribbons

Just like ribbons each and every person varies in length, width, shape, knot and color.

Many share preferences while many also don't. Every ribbon has its own use whether to wrap a gift or to be used in celebrations.

Maybe the ribbons that we picked just didn't complement what we wanted to tie with it or maybe the ribbon was perfect but not long enough to envelop what we needed it for.

Sometimes even though you already knew from the start that the ribbon isn't long enough or doesn't match, you still try to force it to work, and that force will just ruin that ribbon.

Just like how there are many fish in the sea there are also many varieties of ribbon in the world, so maybe that ribbon isn't just the one for you, but there will still be a ribbon just right for you.

No one knows if that one in your hands is for you or for another. Who knows maybe your ribbon is still being weaved or is still waiting for you to have it.

Some ribbons are meant to be nostalgia inside your memories while some are meant to be cut for developments. Maybe it is meant to be gifted to another or be forgotten.

Some are manufactured for a specific person in mind while others are created for vague reasons but know that not every ribbon is woven with you in mind.

A common occurrence is that it looks perfect in your eyes ,but it is slowly damaging the item you wrapped with it maybe you noticed it but for the sake of not cutting the ribbon you try to ignore the damage.

But some ribbons are meant to be cut for a new beginning just like how when you cut a big ribbon on the opening day of your business.

While some ribbons are meant to be decorations of mourning like the huge ribbons decorated with the flowers that were arranged to mourn something or someone you have lost.

Maybe severing that ribbon will be your saving grace that will allow you to see a path that the ribbon has covered all this time.

Every so often you don't realize that there is something strangling you but if you stop trying to be blind of the ribbon that is tied tightly in your neck, perhaps you will be able to cut the ribbon that held you bound all this time stopping you from reaching for the light.

Just this once stop in your tracks and listen here just because that ribbon didn't work out doesn't mean that all ribbons will not work out maybe just that particular ribbon.

Remember once that one frayed ribbon or one knot does not define who we are and what we are.

Just because you stained a ribbon doesn't mean that you are unworthy of using a ribbon it just means that you will need to be more careful with a new ribbon if you cannot get rid of the stain of that previous ribbon.

Once and for all the decision of choosing your ribbon is yours if it bothers you don't force yourself to like that ribbon.
