My Words That I Wish Can Reach You
Some may say that if someone forms their dream then no one will be able to stand in their way of achieving it.
Will you allow me to ask some questions?
Is that dream really yours? What does it take for a person to create theirs?
An individual may know their dreams from early childhood while some may discover it late in their lives, but can we really confirm that the dream we have is really ours? As we have acknowledged every human being has their own set of dreams, and they want to fulfill it just like how a mother's dream for her children to have a stable life which pushes her to nourish them with all of her capability. As much as a middle-aged person wants a better future for himself or his family. Similar to a teenager who wishes to become a doctor, an architect, a firefighter or a teacher, and so much more. A child dreams of becoming a princess, a fairy and various fantasy ideals.
As a child grows their life is influenced by other people that they encounter in their journey from an innocent baby to a curious child then transforms into a confused teen then matures into a promising young adult who ages to a functional person in society.
A baby’s dream is to just have a peaceful life with his or her parents then curiosity comes knocking by the door that very same baby turns to a child which results in having a fantasy-like dream that is not grounded by reality after sometimes that child grows up into a teenager who has an ambition to be someone great, dreaming of a less fantasy-like more reality bound dream then that very same ambitions carries that teen to become a young adult whose dream slightly dulled into a realistic dream where the fantasy we carried from childhood vanishes into smoke only leaving a small puddle of fantasy which dries up as we turn into an adult who have already faced the harsh reality of life.
As time slowly catches up we encounter thoughts such as “Is this really what I want?” ‘Do I really have a choice?’ “Why do I feel like something isn’t right?”. After all we are sure that our dreams are really ours but what if we only believed it to be ours? What if we were only influenced into this dream? As society shapes us into the perfect mold, teaching us to fit in with everyone else and letting us slowly forget our own uniqueness as we are easily influenced by our surroundings. it is so clear to me that a lot of dreams are lost without us even knowing we lost ours.
So once again may I ask you? is your dream really yours? If you still think so then how was your dream formed?
If you are not sure if your dream is truly yours then why not take a journey with me on finding the dreams that we’ve lost?
